EDLC - I'm out!

Well, I'm out of the EDLC. :( Yesterday was Madison's 5th birthday and we were on the go all day long! Last night when things slowed down, I had 45 minutes left to do my layout and I was just not feelin' it...I was BEAT! I didn't want to make myself create a page that I might not love just to get it done, so I sent my friends an email letting them know I was taking myself out of the challenge. I'm bummed that I didn't finish, but I had an AWESOME day with Mark and the girls, so I can't complain. ;) Thanks for going along with me on the ride. Hopefully the next time we have a challenge, I'll keep up! Here's a picture of my baby girl enjoying a yummy cupcake...

That face cheers me right up!! ;) Have a great day...

EDLC Day #7

One week down! This challenge has been alot of fun, and it's definitely keeping me on my toes. ;) Today's been a busy day so I just did a quick 8x8 page for a gift album I'm working on for my mother-in-law. This is my hubby's niece Marybeth. Isn't she gorgeous??

Supplies: BoBunny Paper - Love Bandit; Craft Smart Ink - Chocolate Brown; Prima Flowers; Making Memories Button; K&Company Rub-on - Classic K McKenna; Making Memories Sanding Block

The light isn't so good outside right now, so hopefully I can get a better picture tomorrow. See you then! :)

EDLC Day #6

I love today's layout!! We went to the beach for the first time as a family last summer and I'm just now getting around to getting some pages done. This is the second one, lol! Better late than never right? ;) These were some of my favorite shots of the first time Mark went in the ocean with the girls. Emily's actually been to the beach before (with my mom and sister) but it was Madison's first time, and she LOVED it! We're going back again this year and I can't wait...

Supplies: Fancy Pants Paper - The Daily Grind; Craft Smart Ink - Chocolate Brown; Basic Grey Chipboard Letters - Hip; Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist - Pearl; Making Memories Tiny Alphas - Ledger; Prima Flowers; American Crafts Buttons, Making Memories Sanding Block

Have an awesome Sunday everyone!! :)

EDLC Day #5

It's Saturday...and I'm all ALONE! I still can't believe it, lol. Mark is at work and my sister Maryann came and got both girls to take them swimming. How cool is that? It's such a weird feeling! I guess I should get used to it with Madison starting Kindergarten next year though. ;) So anyway, here's my layout for today. I scrapped about my honey...

Supplies: My Mind's Eye Paper - Breaking Free; Fancy Pants Paper - The Daily Grind; Craft Smart Ink - Chocolate Brown; Slice; Slice Fonts Design Card; EK Success Border Punch - Diamond Lace; Fiskars Heart Punches; Bazzill Jewel Template - Borders; Recollections Pearls

Creative Scrappers Sketch #98

Are we cute or what?!? ;) I definitely need to scrap more pictures of us together. Such important memories...

Well, I hope everyone enjoys their Saturday! I'm headed out to lunch with my other sis Amy in a little while...with no kiddos. :) We don't get many chances to hang together without them along so it's AWESOME. See you tomorrow!

EDLC Day #4

Well, I'm feeling somewhat better today so I was able to make my page, thankfully! I fell in love with this paper when I saw it, so I kept the page pretty simple and worked with the pattern I already had...

Supples: Fancy Pants Paper - Delight; Craft Smart Ink - Chocolate Brown; Martha Stewart Butterfly Punches; Recollections Pearls; Thickers - Daiquiri

I think my sweet girls are just so beautiful. They are both growing up way too fast! At least I get to enjoy them now while they're still little though. :)

The sun wasn't cooperating with me today so I'm sorry the pictures are a little washed out. I'll upload them again if I can get better shots tomorrow. ;) Thanks for looking!

EDLC Day #3

Another day of the challenge complete! I woke up feeling not-so-hot today, so I'm glad this one's done so that I can get some rest. Hopefully, whatever's got me down will go AWAY so that I can keep creating tomorrow. ;)

Supplies: BoBunny Paper - Love Bandit; Craft Smart Ink - Chocolate Brown; Fiskars Heart Punch Slice; Slice Basic Shapes 2 Design Card; Tim Holtz Grungeboard Alphabet - Mixed Minis; Making Memories Buttons; Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist - Vintage Pink

EDLC Day #2

Another day done! One of the extra challenges this month in my scrapping group is to use paint or Glimmermist behind the photo on a layout. Well, I found an amazing layout by Julie Bonner, where she sprayed some Glimmermist behind her picture and it looks awesome! I decided to lift her design for my page but use paint instead, and I love how it turned out!

Supplies: SEI Paper Pad - Lovebirds; Craft Smart Ink - Chocolate Brown; Adirondack Paint Dabber - Espresso; Martha Stewart Butterfly Punch; Doodlebug Loopy Lou Alphabet Stickers - Bon Bon; Making Memories Tiny Alphas - Ledger; Recollections Pearls
*Inspired by Julie Bonner's layout seen in the post here on her blog

To get the paint to look the way it does, I dabbed my paintbrush into the paint and then flicked it down onto the page with my finger. Then I took a papertowel and very lightly dabbed some on the page in certain spots. I love the random, messy effect I got! ;)

See you tomorrow for day #3! Have an awesome day...

It's time for another EDLC!!

My scrapbooking group, Scrappin-N-Chattin, has decided to have another every-day-layout-challenge like we did back in February. The difference this time though is that it's for 30 days instead of 15! I've decided to join in because I need a boost for my mojo, and it already seems to be working great for me. ;) Here's my layout for day #1...

Supplies: BoBunny Paper - Love Bandit; Heidi Swapp "Love" Stamp; Studio G Alphabet Stamps - Series 3; Colorbox Chalk Ink - Chestnut Roan; Craft Smart Ink - Chocolate Brown; Slice; Slice Basic Shapes 1 Design Card; Slice Basic Shapes 2 Design Card; Basic Grey Button
*Inspired by a sketch on the Creative Scrappers blog on 4/13/10

I sooooooooo love these pictures! My friend Amanda took them when we were over at her house for dinner one night. Since I'm always the one holding the camera, I don't get many shots of myself with the girls, especially special ones like these. I will always treasure them...

For the EDLC this month, our hostess Mel has encouraged us to use sketches for inspiration, and I think it's an awesome idea! I hope you'll find some inspiration from the ones I use. Wish me luck on making it the entire 30 days! ;)

Today was the last day of my scrapping group's EDCC (Every Day Card Challenge) and it's so awesome that I made it through the entire month! Some more EDCC cards...

I'm having so much fun making these cards! It's kind of hard for me to go back and forth between layouts and cards though...my mind just doesn't wrap around it right for some reason. Maybe it's the different sizes, I'm not sure. Hopefully soon though, I'll be able to find a happy medium doing both without any problems. For now, I'll just continue with the cards and when a layout idea hits me, I'll go with it. ;)

EDCC - Day #1

Today my scrapping group is starting our Every Day Card Challenge. Unlike the layout challenge, this one is for 30 days, but since cards are quicker to create than layouts, I think I should be able to keep up just fine. ;)

Family (EDLC Day #14)

Here is day #14! I am SO glad that I was able to do the entire challenge. It was really amazing to get 14 layouts done in 2 weeks. Hard some days, but definitely worth it. ;)

Our scrapping group is planning on doing another challenge like this in the summer, but that one will be for 30 days! I'll have to think about whether I can do it or not. I think I could, but we'll see how things are going then. :)

Thanks for checking out all of my EDLC pages...it's been great! Next week I plan to work on cards, so I should have some new ones to share soon. Have an awesome day!!
