Parkway

Hi again friends! There are a few May challenges that are ending today that I wanted to play along with, so I got crafty earlier today and created this fun page...

Supplies: Fancy Pants Childish Things Paper - Snacktime, Sheet Of Music, Imagination; Tim Holtz Distress Ink - Walnut Stain; AC/Dear Lizzy Neapolitan Roller Date Stamp; Fiskars Circle Punches - Extra Large, Large; Fiskars Nice Tri Punch; BoBunny Et Cetera Alpha Stickers; Heidi Swapp Ghost Hearts; Making Memories Button; Studio G Brad; DMC Floss; Twine; 1942 Report Font

I was inspired by this sketch my friend Theresa created...

...and I adore how my layout turned out! My hubby and I love taking our girls and going for long drives on the Blue Ridge Parkway here in NC. It's absolutely gorgeous up there and we never get tired of seeing what it has to offer, and of course we always have tons of pics! This sketch worked perfectly to get a few different ones on my page without crowding it at all, which totally rocks. ;)

I hope you're all having an amazing Thursday!

MMD Sketch #18

Good morning! I have a new sketch from Miracles Momma Designs to share with you today. This is a seriously fun sketch that could be used in so many different ways...

Supplies: Echo Park Hello Summer Papers - You've Been Flagged, Little Flowers, Banners; Tim Holtz Distress Ink - Scattered Straw; ColorBox Chalk Ink - Chestnut Roan; Studio Calico Mister Huey - Classic Calico, Calico White; Ali Edwards Stamps - Simple Joy; American Crafts Stamp; AC/Dear Lizzy Neapolitan Roller Date Stamp; Martha Stewart Large Circle Cutter; Studio Calico Wooden Veneer Butterflies; Architects Daughter Font

Although I absolutely adore the circles on the sketch, I couldn't find a way to make them work for me, so I focused on the basics of the sketch instead and it worked out great! I've had this super cute picture of my girls for a while now and this sketch along with these fabulous Hello Summer papers from Echo Park made it so fun to scrap!

If you have a minute, please head over to Heather's post today at Miracles Momma Designs and check out all of the other DT pages...everyone rocked this sketch!

Sketches In Thyme #79

I've got a new sketch/layout to share with you this morning! This time around we have a two page sketch. I don't do very many two pagers, so I made the sketch work for me and used the left side as inspiration for my layout...

Supplies: Basic Grey Konnichiwa Paper- Lucky Cricket, Jasmine Tea, Good Afternoon; Tim Holtz Distress Ink - Walnut Stain; Studio Calico Mister Huey - Dark Calico, Calico White; Ali Edwards Stamps - It's In The Details, Favorite Memories; Fiskars Circle Punch; Fiskars Flit On By Punch; Studio Calico Wood Veneer People; Basic Grey Chipboard Alphas; Making Memories Button; Twine; sf Ellie Everyday Font

I think it turned out great! I was able to go out to a special lunch with my mom and sisters for Mother's Day this year and we all had a wonderful time talking and laughing. Before we left, we took these pictures with our phones and although they both turned out a little bit crazy (the sun was really bright!), I absolutely love them! My family is so amazing. :)

Make sure to stop by the Sketches In Thyme blog post for today and see what the other DT ladies did with this great sketch...I'm sure you'll love what you see!

MMD Sketch #17

Good morning!! Today is my first post as a part of the Miracles Momma Designs DT (yay!!) and I get to share this amazing new sketch with you, along with my take on it...

Supplies: AC/Dear Lizzy Neapolitan Paper - Warm Memories, Silly Skedaddle, Heart Song; Tim Holtz Distress Ink - Pumice Stone; Studio Calico Mister Huey - Inky Black, Clay; Ali Edwards Stamp Set - Favorite Memories; Fiskars Flit On By Punch; Thickers - Rainboots; Basic Grey Button; Twine; sf Ellie Everyday Font

Isn't it awesome?? I've always been a fan of Heather's sketches and this one was really fun to work with. I knew when I saw it that two vertical pictures would work perfectly and when I found these of an egg hunt from when Emily was younger, I knew they were the ones I wanted to use. I pulled out my Neapolitan papers (LOVE!!) and got to work, and it all came together in no time! :)

Please take a minute and head over to Heather's post today and check out what the other designers did with the sketch because everyone rocked it! ;) Also, if you feel inspired to create a layout yourself using the sketch, we'd love to see it when you're done. Thanks for stopping by today!!

Our Little Tween

Hi friends! Thank you for all the congrats about my exciting news earlier! You guys totally rock. ;) I've been creating today and wanted to share my layout with you...

Supplies: Basic Grey What's Up Paper - Up And Away, First Flight, In Flight, Balloon Festival, Blue Skies; Tim Holtz Distress Ink - Walnut Stain; AC/Dear Lizzy Neapolitan Roller Date Stamp; Fiskars Circle Punches - Large, Medium; Martha Stewart Large Circle Cutter; Basic Grey Chipboard Alphas; Jillibean Soup Corrugated Flower; Tim Holtz Tiny Attacher; CK Cindy Computer Font

I am SO in love with this page, especially for the journaling. The first line says "The first time I saw this picture, it gave me a little shock." That is so true! It was the first time I saw Emily in a picture and realized how much she's changed lately. It's really crazy how fast these babies grow up isn't it?? Anyway, I journaled about a few things I remember from when she was younger and also about how I feel now that she's a "tween". When she got home from school and read the journaling, she really loved it, so mission accomplished! She loved the play on words in the title too, lol. :)

Thanks for stopping by! I've got some other projects in the works but you can't see them yet since they are DT assignments, yay! Keep an eye out and they'll be posted before you know it. ;) Have a great weekend and for all those mommies out there, Happy Mother's Day!!!
