Moments To Celebrate

Hi there my friends...I'm baaaaaaack!! ;) I decided to get crafty after all today and created this layout for my sister...

Supplies: Basic Grey Konnichiwa Collection - Lucky Cricket, Good Afternoon, Jiko, Pagoda; Tim Holtz Distress Ink - Walnut Stain; Ali Edwards Stamp Set - It's In The Details, The Family Circle; Fiskars Flit On By Punch; Basic Grey Button; Twine; CK Alis Hand Font

I've already scrapped these pictures for myself (here), but when I posted my page, my sister got all excited and said she wanted one too! I used the same collection for her page but went with a different design and took my inspiration from the latest Basic Grey sketch (which totally rocks). I really like how it turned out and hopefully she will too! ;)

Thanks for stopping by again today...I love my visitors!

MMD Sketch #20

Good morning my friends! I have a FABULOUS sketch from Miracles Momma Designs to share with you today that I adore. Heather really hit it out of the park with this one!!

Supplies: Studio Calico Take Note Collection - Protractor; Crate Paper Paper Heart Collection - Love Letter, Cupid, Define, Delicate; Tim Holtz Distress Ink - Walnut Stain; ColorBox Chalk Ink - Gray Whale; Studio Calico Mister Huey - Clay; Studio Calico Stamp Set - Heyday Thoughts; Ali Edwards Stamp Set - Simple Joy; Technique Tuesday Stamp Set - Good Times; EK Success Embossed Curve Border Punch; EK Success Scalloped Circle Punch; Fiskars Circle Punch; Stampin' Up! Heart-to-Heart Punch; Martha Stewart Large Circle Cutter; AC/Amy Tangerine Thickers - Goodness; Throw My Hands Up In The Air Computer Font

Seriously, could the sketch rock any more? ;) As soon as I saw the sun on it, I knew I wanted to use this amazing sheet of Studio Calico paper as my background. I've been hoarding...errrrr, saving it for a really long time and this turned out to be the perfect time to use it! I cut out every other set of rays and backed them with different patterned papers. I've seen a few different scrappers do this (one of my favorites being Sophie Crespy...you can see her page here), and have wanted to try it for myself for a while now. It's definitely a cool technique that I plan on trying again!

I am so in love with how this page turned out! The picture is SO precious to me because it's the very first time I held my daughter Emily. I had a C-section so I only got to look at her in the operating room and then it seemed like FOREVER before I finally had her in my arms! I will never forget that moment, and I'm so thankful to have this sweet photo that's now a beautiful layout that captures it for me.

Make sure you drop by Heather's blog and check out what the other DT members made...awesome I tell ya!

Thanks for taking a minute to stop by for a visit today! I may be back later if I get crafty...there are a few challenges ending today that I wanted to try so we'll see. ;)
