Happy New Year everyone...it's January 2013!!!  Can you believe it?  Wow, 2012 seemed to fly by for me, lol!  So anyway, a new month means it's time for a new challenge over at Scrap It Girl!  The theme for this challenge is to use bling, glitter, shiny things, etc...lots of fun. ;) For my project, I made a layout and used a little bit of bling on it...

Supplies: Crate Paper Paper Heart Collection - Delicate, Delivery, Petals, Define; Tim Holtz Distress Ink - Walnut Stain; Paper Smooches Stamps - Good Gab; Heidi Swapp Roller Date Stamp; Fiskars Round & Round Circle Punches - Medium, Large, Extra Large; EK Success 2 1/2" Circle Punch; iRock; Jolee's Hotfix Jewels - Jonquil; Basic Grey Button

This was a Christmas present for my Aunt Patsy and she really loved it!  I'm completely addicted to Jolee's Hotfix Jewels right now and that's what I've used here.  They're so quick and easy to apply with my iRock, which ROCKS, hehe. ;) By the way, if any of you out there don't have an iRock, you seriously NEED one.  I promise you'll love it!

I hope you'll be inspired by the challenge and join in!  If you link up your project at the Scrap It Girl blog by the end of the month, you'll be entered to win a yummy prize so go for it!  Thanks for stopping by today...

Scrap It Girl December Challenge

Goooooooood morning my friends!!  Wow, can you believe it's already December??  That's totally crazy right?  I feel like November flew right by, lol. ;) Anyway, a new month means a new challenge over at Scrap It Girl!  This month we want to see you use a clock in some way on a project...

Supplies: BoBunny Mama-Razzi Collection - Tabloid, Dot, Mama-Razzi; Tim Holtz Distress Ink - Walnut Stain; Ali Edwards Stamps - Simple Joy; Cuttlebug; Quickutz Heart & Arrow Die; Stampin' Up Heart Punch; Fiskars Twinkle Twinkle Punch; Fiskars Nice Tri Punch; Amy Tangerine Thickers - Woodgrain Muse; Recollections Washi Tape; Remington Noiseless Font

When I saw the challenge, I got all excited because I instantly knew what picture and papers I wanted to use, and I knew I had a flair button and a brad with clocks on them...and then I couldn't find either, LOL.  Don't you love it when that happens?? ;) Thankfully I came across this awesome Washi tape that has clocks on it that worked perfectly for my layout.  The clock theme just fits because this is a very special moment in time that I never want to forget and one I'm very thankful that I captured.  I snapped this shot of my hubby dancing with our daughter at my cousin's wedding and I've wanted to scrap it for such a loooong time.  I think I was struggling with what to say about it in the journaling, but this challenge got my gears spinning and it all worked out!  Now I loooove the page. :)

So what do you think of the challenge?  Have something in mind?  If so, we'd love for you to play along!!  Make sure to link up your project at the Scrap It Girl blog by the end of the month and you'll have a chancce to win a fun prize!  Good luck and thanks for popping in for a visit today!

Scrap It Girl August Challenge

Good morning! Today is my first time posting a DT project for Scrap It Girl and I'm super excited! The challenge for August is to use numbers, which is easy and simple right?? As soon as I found out about it, I knew I wanted to create a mini album, and came up with this idea for my daughter Emily...

Supplies: Basic Grey 6x6 Paper Pad - What's Up; Tim Holtz Distress Ink - Walnut Stain; Technique Tuesday Stamp Set - Borderline: Live For Today; Fiskars Round & Round Punch; EK Success Scallop Circle Punch; American Crafts Thickers - Rainboots; Studio Calico Wood Veneers - Tweet Birds; DYMO Caption/Label Maker; Crop-A-Dile; Doodlebug Plain & Simple Mini Album - Square Chip

The title and tabs along the side of the album say "13 reasons that you are soooo loved by all of us". She's going to be 13 in December (man, I can't believe that!), and I thought a mini album filled with some favorite pictures and lots of reasons we love her would be a very special gift. So far I've only done the cover so I don't have any inside pages to show you just yet (I want to be sure that it's a family project and her daddy and sissy are included inside), but I'll be sure to share those with you as they get made. ;)

So have you got some ideas floating around for a numbers project you'd like to create? It can be absolutely anything you want it to be as long as it includes a number of some sort, and do you want to know what you can win by playing along? Here it the awesome prize being offered...

How great is that?? You have all month long to get your project made and linked up over at the Scrap It Girl blog, so get creative and have fun! Thanks for stopping by! :)

I forgot to share my news!!

Things have been absolutely CRAZY for us around here for the last week. To make a reallllllly long story short, our AC stopped working, it got to 98 IN the house (talk about HOT), we ended up having to stay in a hotel for 3 nights and at my sister's house for another one, and we finally got it fixed on Tuesday. Since then, I've been trying to get the house back in order and catch up on all the laundry. Fun, right?? ;)

So anyway, I have some exciting news to share with you all that I completely forgot about with everything happening...

I'm now on the DT over at Scrap It Girl!!

Kimberly Congdon is the owner and I'm super excited that she's invited me to be a part of her team! ;) My first challenge will be in August so keep an eye out...
