Skteches In Thyme #105

Good morning my friends!  It's time for me to share a new sketch from Sketches In Thyme with you!  Now you may look at my page and go huh??  Because well, it turned out nothing like the sketch, LOL!  I took my inspiration from the layers and once I started layering, I just kept going and going.  Hopefully you can see where I started from though...

Supplies: Echo Park Note To Self Collection - Journaling Cards; Fancy Pants Off To School Collection - Strips; Fancy Pants True Collection - Pure; Pink Paislee Cupid Collection - Bow & Arrow, Hearts Bloom; Tim Holtz Distress Ink  - Walnut Stain; Tim Holtz Distress Marker - Walnut Stain; Studio Calico Mister Huey - Classic Calico; October Afternoon Sprinkler - Pink Balloon; Paper Smooches Stamps - Chit Chat, We Connect; American Crafts With Love Roller Date Stamp; Stampin' Up! Butterfly Punch; Basic Grey Button; American Crafts Twine; Studio Calico Wood Veneer Heart

Aren't my cuties just SO adorable??  I love capturing moments like this one when they're being all lovey dovey, especially so that on some days I have absolute PROOF that they really do love one another, lol!!  With a 13 year old and 7 year old, those days definitely show up once in a while. ;)

So what do you think of the sketch?  If it inspires you to get creative, you can try your hand at winning some yummy goodies!  You have until the 30th to link up a project over at the Sketches In Thyme blog.  Good luck and remember to have fun!  Thanks so much for popping in for a visit. :)

Sketches In Thyme #82

Good morning!! I have a new sketch from Sketches In Thyme to share with you today and I'm betting you'll love it...

Supplies: Pink Paislee Prairie Hill Collection - Spool, Country Meadow, Sun Spot; Tim Holtz Distress Ink - Walnut Stain; Studio Calico Mister Huey - Classic Calico, Custard, Overdue; AC/Dear Lizzy Neapolitan Roller Date Stamp; EK Success PSN L Butterfly Punch; Fiskars/Jenni Bowlin Tab Punch; K&Company Handmade Chipboard Alphabet; Making Memories Button; Twine; Just Act Casual Font

Can you see all the amazing ways you can use this and make it your own? It rocks! I decided to take my inspiration from the left side of the sketch for this page about my daughter Emily. This is a girl who is NEVER quiet and who doesn't like the quiet in any way, so this shot of her just sitting and enjoying nature really touched me. I absolutely adore her. :)

Be sure to take a minute and head over to the Sketches In Thyme blog to see what the other DT ladies made...you'll see some amazing work! Thanks for stopping by today...

Blessings (Artful Delight)

Good morning!! I have a new layout to share with you that I created using the October kit from Artful Delight...

Supplies Used From The Artful Delight October Kit: Pink Paislee Nantucket Paper - Crab Cakes & Clam Chowder Other Supplies Used: Colorbox Chalk Ink - Chestnut Roan; Tim Holtz Distress Ink - Old Paper; Studio Calico Mister Huey - Calico White; Ali Edwards Stamp Set - Sentimentally Ali; Martha Stewart Butterfly Punch; I-Rock; I-Rock Clear Gems; I-Rock Stencil; Recollections Flowers
*Inspired by this sketch at Frosted Designs

This is the cover page for the album I made for my mother-in-law's birthday (I've mentioned it a couple of times before). She's coming into town today so I wanted to get it finished for her and I'm so happy with how it all turned out! There are 20 pages in all...the cover page layout, followed by 18 layouts (6 per family) of each of her 3 kids and their families, and the last page which is a layout of her with all of her grandkids (seen here). I really hope she loves it because it was so much fun making it for her. :)

If you haven't gotten an October kit yet, there's still time! Also, keep an eye on the Artful Delight blog because on Tuesday Leeanne will be revealing the November kit. I'm sure it will be fabulous and I can't wait to see it all!

P.S. I don't know if you've noticed lately but I'm a little obsessed with my I-Rock these days! This little tool is SO amazing. I was never really much of a bling person before getting mine but it completely changed my view on it all. I absolutely love how easy it is to add the jewels and I feel like it adds just the right touch to my project every time I use it. I really can't seem to make anything without it lately, lol! Oh and bonus, the other day I found some absolutely GORGEOUS Jolee's hotfix jewels at Michaels that work with my I-Rock and snatched some up. Love, love, love them! Just thought I'd throw that out there in case anyone's looking for a new tool to spoil themselves with. ;)

Wow, it's been a month!!

I seriously can't believe it's been OVER a month since I made a scrapbook layout! I knew I wouldn't have much scrappy time in August, but that's just CrAzY! ;) Anyway, it's time for another 24 Hour Challenge in my Scrappin-N-Chattin group, and since I'm the hostess, of course I wanted to play along. The ladies in the group chose the collection I would use as well as a sketch for me to follow. When I started working on the page this morning, my mojo was a little blocked, but I worked through it and LOVE the finished result!

*Inspired by The Scrap Farm Sketch #9 (It can also be seen at The Scrapville Blog where it's the challenge sketch for August)
