Top 10 Favorites of 2011

Well, hello friends! Long time, no blog right? I'm really sorry it's been a few weeks but on top of December being a crazy month, I've been sick and really not all that crafty. I did want to jump on and do a top 10 favorites of 2011 blog post for you though! I've seen a few bloggers doing it this week and it's really neat to see what people love most out of what they've created all year long. Hopefully someone out there will be interested in seeing some of mine. ;)

I'll start with layouts first...

And now for some favorite cards...

And last but not least, some altered items and minis. I've had alot of fun with these this year!

So there you go...my top 10 favorites post for 2011. I hope you enjoyed this trip down memory lane with me and I hope I have some new work to show you in 2012 very soon!
Have a Happy New Year my amazing friends. :)

My Holiday Wish List Meme

TodaysMama (http://bit.ly/tmwishlist) and GameStop (http://bit.ly/gamestop10) are giving away a sleighful of gifts this holiday season and to enter I’m sharing this meme with you.

1. What is your holiday wish for your family? - That we can enjoy the time together and be thankful for all of the blessings we have.

2. What is your Christmas morning tradition? - We get up a little bit early, and then tear right into the presents! After everyone's enjoyed opening everything up, we spend some time playing with new toys or games, and then enjoy some yummy breakfast together.

3. If you could ask Santa for one, completely decadent wish for yourself, what would it be? - For me, it would be a Silhouette die-cutting machine. I've had one on my wishlist for a long time now! ;)

4. How do you make the holidays special without spending any money? - I make some of the gifts with my scrapping supplies! I actually learned a couple of new things this year that have made some pretty cool gifts.

5. What games did you play with your family growing up? - I remember us playing alot of board games, my favorite being Parcheesi. Why you ask? Because I always WON!

6. What holiday tradition have you carried on from your own childhood? - Opening one gift on Christmas Eve and also filling stockings with yummy candy and small goodies.

7. Where would you go for a Christmas-away-from-home trip? - Definitely Disneyland. We've wanted to take our girls for a looooong time but it's just too much money right now.

8. Check out GameStop (http://bit.ly/gamestop10) and tell us, what are the three top items on your GameStop Wish List this year? - A Nintendo DS XL, Epic Mickey for the Wii, and Super Mario All-Stars for the Wii.

Just saying hi!

I haven't been around all that much lately and the reason behind it is that my BABY will be starting Kindergarten this year! We went to the beach for vacation at the end of July, and now that we're home, we're spending all the time together that we can. Once the girls are in school, I'll have plenty of time to create, so I'm sure you'll see me often. ;)

For now, here's a picture that I took of my sweet family headed to the water the first day we went to the beach...

Are they amazing or what? I am SO thankful for each of them and so glad God blessed me like He has. :)

He is Risen!!

But the angel answered and said to the woman, "Do not be afraid, for I know that you seek Jesus who was crucified. He is not here; for He is risen, as He said. Come, see the place where the Lord lay. And go quickly and tell His disciples that He is risen from the dead, and indeed He is going before you to Galilee; there you will see Him. Behold I have told you." - Matthew 28:5-7 (NKJV)

I pray that each and every one of you will have a wonderful Easter and that we all remember why we celebrate this day. God bless you!!

Happy Valentine's Day!!!

My sweet hubby brought home 3 beautiful roses last night...one for me and then one for each of our girls. It's kind of our thing that he brings me a single red rose every now and then, and it's always so special to me. Now, the girls each get their own rose too. ;) Isn't he just the greatest?? I am so blessed...

I hope you all have an amazing Valentine's day with your families! I'll see you later today to share the last day of the EDLC with you...

Vacation!

I know it's been a while since I posted but there's a great reason for it. We went to the beach last week! My hubby's brother lives on the coast and we went to their house for the week. They live about 10 minutes from the beach so of course we were there all the time! It was the first time Mark or I had been in 12 years and the very first trip for Madison. It was SO amazing. Here are some of my favorite shots of the ocean...

While we were there, my sister-in-law Cathy (also my best friend!) watched the kids for us, packed a picnic dinner and sent us out on a date! It was soooooo awesome. We ate, walked on the beach together, sat in the sand and just had a really good time. I got some wonderful pics of the sun setting while we were there too...

Also, here are a few pics of the girls having some fun. They couldn't get enough of the water, especially Madison. She kept telling us that there was a big whale in the ocean making big waves just for her! Too cute. ;)

So, now we're home and I've spent the last few days unpacking and trying to weed through all of the messages in my inbox. Hopefully I can get some scrapping done this week...I think I'm having withdrawals, lol! Thanks for letting me share our vacation with you. See you soon!
