My Sweetie Pie :)

Goooood morning my friends!!  I've got a new layout to share with you today that actually isn't a DT project...shocking right? ;) I just pulled out some supplies and had fun!

Supplies: Basic Grey Picadilly Collection - Farm Fresh Eggs, Home Sweet Home, Eggs & Bacon; Basic Grey Oxford Collection - Preppy Plaid; Tim Holtz Distress Ink - Walnust Stain; AC/Dear Lizzy Neapolitan Roller Date Stamp; Paper Smooches Stamps - Bee Mine, Joyful Greeting, Chit Chat; EK Success Embossed Curve Border Punch; Stampin' Up! My daughter Madison is such a HUGE sweetie pie and she's always finding flowers for me whenever we go outside to play.  Now that she's getting older I wanted to be sure and record this, not only for her to remember one day...but for me to remind myself when she no longer does it. :)

I hope you're all having a wonderful week so far.  My mother-in-law gets here tonight for a visit and we're all so excited to see her!  I've been doing Spring cleaning this week to get ready and it feels soooooo good to get it done.  Hmmmm, maybe I should do a layout about Spring cleaning?  Lol...have a great one!!  Thanks for stopping by today...

Project Life Week #3

Hello friends!  I know it's been a while since I shared a Project Life spread with you but I just haven't had the time to work on it these past few weeks.  That's what I love most about this process though...I don't let it bother me if I get "behind" and I just work on it whenever I get the chance to.  I have a really cool app on my phone called Day One that helps me keep track of the journaling too so that helps. ;)

Anyway, I have a new spread to share with you today!  This week I changed it up a little bit and used less pictures so that I could include some longer journaling, a really cute quote, and also to have a couple of blank cards to play around with, which I stitched on!  Talk about fun...

Supplies: Crate Paper Fourteen 6x6 Paper Pad; Tim Holtz Distress Ink - Walnut Stain; October Afternoon Sprinklers - Pink Balloon, Token; TT/Ali Edwards Stamps - Days Of The Week, Favorite Memories, Love Ali, This One, It's In The Details; Studio Calico Stamps - New Years 2013, The Good Life; Cocoa Daisy Stamps - Feather, Grungy Grid; Paper Smooches Stamps - Geo-Graphic; Lawn Fawn Stamps - Smitty's ABC's, Say Cheese Too; Technique Tuesday Stamps - Hanging By A Thread; Heidi Swapp Roller Date Stamp; Marvy 3/4" Circle Punch; Stampin' Up! Heart Punch; Stampin' Up! 3 Heart Punch; Stampin' Up! Owl Punch; Stampin' Up! Butterfly Punch; Fiskars 3" Circle Punch; Fiskars Round & Round Circle Punch - Extra Large; Fiskars Twinkle Twinkle Star Punch - Medium; EK Success Photo Captions Punch; Martha Stewart 3-in-1 Butterly Punch; We R Memory Keepers Corner Chomper; Tim Holtz Tiny Attacher; My Mind's Eye Enamel Dots - Lost & Found 3 "Ruby", The Sweetest Thing Bluebell "Smile", Studio Calico Exclusive; Bazzill In Stitch'z Stitching Template - Heidi Lynn's Hand; Heidi Swapp "Cute" Stamp (Used As A Stitching Template); DMC Floss; Minneapolis Font

Aren't they great?  Each time I finish one of these weeks, I just stare and stare at it, lol.  I guess that means I love it though and I'm really enjoying working on it, so yay me!  It was really awesome pulling out my stitching supplies because it's been WAY too long since I did some stitching on my projects and I love how it looks!  I'm planning on ordering the new Amy Tangerine kits (have you seen those???) to try out so I'm sure you'll see some of those designs soon...

Are any of you doing PL?  If so, please feel free to leave me a link to some of your pages because I'd love to check them out!  Thanks for stopping by to visit today. :)

Sketches In Thyme #99

Good morning all!  It's time for me to share the newest sketch from Sketches In Thyme with you and this one is really amazing...

Supplies: Crate Paper Snow Day Collection - Sparkle, Blizzard, Flakes; Tim Holtz Distress Ink - Walnut Stain; Studio Calico Mister Huey - Calico Cream; Ali Edwards Stamps - Kids Are Cool, 25 Moments; Cocoa Daisy Stamps - Arrow Love; Fiskars Nice Tri Punch - Large; Fiskars Twinkle Twinkle Star Punch - Medium; Cuttlebug; Cuttlebug Harmony Alpha Dies; My Mind's Eye Sweetest Thing Brads; Just The Way You Are Font

Awesome right??  When I went looking for some pictures to use with the sketch, I came across these from when Emily was having some fun after a snowstorm.  I realized they'd work perfectly if I cut them down and I was right!  I really love how it all came together and can definitely see myself using the sketch a few more times in the future. ;)

How about you?  If you're inspired by the sketch and get creative with it, we'd love to see!!  There's also a prize up for grabs so make sure you link up your project by the end of the month at the Sketches In Thyme blog for your chance to win. :) Thanks so much for visiting me today!

MMD Sketch #21

Good afternoon! I have a new sketch to share with you today from Miracles Momma Designs. :) This is a wonderful sketch that could be used in so many ways...

Supplies: My Mind's Eye Nostalgia Collection - Classic, Scallop, Label, Roses; My Mind's Eye Nostalgia Accessory Sheet; Tim Holtz Distress Ink - Walnut Stain; Tim Holtz Distress Marker - Walnut Stain; Ali Edwards Stamps - Love Ali, Favorite Memories; Fiskars Nice-Tri Punch; Fiskars/Jenni Bowlin Tab Punch; Fiskars Round & Round Punch; Martha Stewart Circle Cutter; Studio Calico Wood Veneer Butterfly; My Mind's Eye Nostalgia Brads; Doily; Just The Way You Are Font

When I first saw the sketch, I thought that four blocks of patterned paper would work perfectly for it, and I had these two great pictures of Emily and myself that went right along with that idea. We were hanging out at my hubby's Nanny's house one day and she came over and snuggled up to me on the couch (which doesn't happen very often, so I was LOVING it!) and I made sure to snap some shots of us together. I knew I wanted to scrap them because I realized recently that I don't have enough pictures of myself in our scrapbooks. It's kind of hard to get in there more though when I'm always the one behind the camera, lol! I'm sure many of you understand that right? I've decided to really try and change that though, so I've made a promise to try and scrap myself more. This is a great start for that. ;)

Make sure you head over to Heather's blog post today and see what the other DT members did with the sketch (there are some fabulous pages!), and thanks for stopping by!

MMD Sketch #20

Good morning my friends! I have a FABULOUS sketch from Miracles Momma Designs to share with you today that I adore. Heather really hit it out of the park with this one!!

Supplies: Studio Calico Take Note Collection - Protractor; Crate Paper Paper Heart Collection - Love Letter, Cupid, Define, Delicate; Tim Holtz Distress Ink - Walnut Stain; ColorBox Chalk Ink - Gray Whale; Studio Calico Mister Huey - Clay; Studio Calico Stamp Set - Heyday Thoughts; Ali Edwards Stamp Set - Simple Joy; Technique Tuesday Stamp Set - Good Times; EK Success Embossed Curve Border Punch; EK Success Scalloped Circle Punch; Fiskars Circle Punch; Stampin' Up! Heart-to-Heart Punch; Martha Stewart Large Circle Cutter; AC/Amy Tangerine Thickers - Goodness; Throw My Hands Up In The Air Computer Font

Seriously, could the sketch rock any more? ;) As soon as I saw the sun on it, I knew I wanted to use this amazing sheet of Studio Calico paper as my background. I've been hoarding...errrrr, saving it for a really long time and this turned out to be the perfect time to use it! I cut out every other set of rays and backed them with different patterned papers. I've seen a few different scrappers do this (one of my favorites being Sophie Crespy...you can see her page here), and have wanted to try it for myself for a while now. It's definitely a cool technique that I plan on trying again!

I am so in love with how this page turned out! The picture is SO precious to me because it's the very first time I held my daughter Emily. I had a C-section so I only got to look at her in the operating room and then it seemed like FOREVER before I finally had her in my arms! I will never forget that moment, and I'm so thankful to have this sweet photo that's now a beautiful layout that captures it for me.

Make sure you drop by Heather's blog and check out what the other DT members made...awesome I tell ya!

Thanks for taking a minute to stop by for a visit today! I may be back later if I get crafty...there are a few challenges ending today that I wanted to try so we'll see. ;)

A card share...

Wow it has been a really LONG time since I've shared a card with you on here! I just haven't had ANY mojo for cards lately though, ugh. Luckily for me, there's a great card sketch over at Artful Delight this month that inspired me!

Supplies: Crate Paper Paper Heart Collection - Define, Cupid, Delicate, Love Letter; Tim Holtz Distress Ink - Walnut Stain; Ali Edwards Stamp Set - Loving Words; EK Success PSN L Butterfly Punch; Stampin' Up! Heart-to-Heart Punch; We R Memory Keepers Corner Chomper

I created a DT layout yesterday (which goes live on the 30th!) and when I was done I made some super cute embellishments with all of the tiny leftover scraps...

It only took me about 15 minutes to make these 10 embellishments and now I can just pop one on a project at any time. It rocks! I'm planning on doing this from now on because it saves me time plus uses up my scraps (which is always a good thing because I have WAY too many). ;) What do you do with your scraps?? I'd love any tips or tricks to use up some more of mine so feel free to share!

Our Little Tween

Hi friends! Thank you for all the congrats about my exciting news earlier! You guys totally rock. ;) I've been creating today and wanted to share my layout with you...

Supplies: Basic Grey What's Up Paper - Up And Away, First Flight, In Flight, Balloon Festival, Blue Skies; Tim Holtz Distress Ink - Walnut Stain; AC/Dear Lizzy Neapolitan Roller Date Stamp; Fiskars Circle Punches - Large, Medium; Martha Stewart Large Circle Cutter; Basic Grey Chipboard Alphas; Jillibean Soup Corrugated Flower; Tim Holtz Tiny Attacher; CK Cindy Computer Font

I am SO in love with this page, especially for the journaling. The first line says "The first time I saw this picture, it gave me a little shock." That is so true! It was the first time I saw Emily in a picture and realized how much she's changed lately. It's really crazy how fast these babies grow up isn't it?? Anyway, I journaled about a few things I remember from when she was younger and also about how I feel now that she's a "tween". When she got home from school and read the journaling, she really loved it, so mission accomplished! She loved the play on words in the title too, lol. :)

Thanks for stopping by! I've got some other projects in the works but you can't see them yet since they are DT assignments, yay! Keep an eye out and they'll be posted before you know it. ;) Have a great weekend and for all those mommies out there, Happy Mother's Day!!!

Time for some layouts!

Hello there! I hope you've all been having a fabulous week. :) I've got a couple of layouts to share with you. I created this first one a few days ago and would have posted it sooner but the RAIN wouldn't go away so I could take any pictures! The sun finally came out today though thankfully...

Supplies: My Mind's Eye Gertie Paper - "Friends Forever" Petals, "Little One" Darling Dots; Ali Edwards Stamp Set - This One; Heidi Swapp "Delight" Stamp; American Crafts/Dear Lizzy Neapolitan Roller Date Stamp; Tim Holtz Distress Ink - Walnut Stain; Color Box Chalk Ink - Rose Coral; Studio Calico Mister Huey - Dark Calico; Fiskars Flit On By Punch; Fiskars Circle Punches - Extra Large, Large, Medium; EK Success Scallop Circle Punch; WRMK Corner Chomper; Elle's Studio Tags - Lil' Snippets Date, Handmade Layers Cutouts; Heidi Swapp Ghost Heart; Basic Grey Button; Misc. Brads; Twine; DMC Floss

I absolutely ADORE this picture of Emily. It was such a crazy shot with her being so close to me, but I love how it's focused completely on her, and how she looks so happy! It really shows who she is and I wanted the layout to let her shine, which I think it does beautifully. :)

---------------

I made the second layout this morning and I think it all came together pretty easily! There are some challenges that I wanted to get done before the month's end, so that's where alot of my inspiration came from...

Supplies: Crate Paper Paper Heart Paper - Romance, Love Letter, Cupid, Define; Ali Edwards Stamp Set - Bring On The Love; American Crafts/Dear Lizzy Neapolitan Roller Date Stamp; Tim Holtz Distress Ink - Pumice Stone; Studio Calico Mister Huey - Clay; Fiskars Circle Punches - Extra Large, Large, Medium; EK Success Scallop Circle Punch; Fiskars Scallop Sentiment Border Punch; Martha Stewart 3-in-1 Classic Butterfly Punch; WRMK Corner Chomper; My Mind's Eye "Beauty Of Life" Quote; Basic Grey Brad; Carnala Computer Font

This picture is another favorite of mine. I absolutely love getting shots like this, where no one is paying me any mind...they're just being together. It's so precious to see. :)

I'm still feeling crafty today so you never know...there may be another share headed your way soon, as long as Madison stays off the computer that is, lol. ;) Thanks for your visit!

The top layout is Imaginisce, which I only have thanks to my sweet friend Abby gifting me some papers since until recently I couldn't find them locally (thanks again Abbs!), and the second layout is one of my all time favorite lines from My Mind's Eye. I just love it when gorgeous papers make creating so much fun. ;)

I created both of the pages with the March kit from Artful Delight. I've really missed getting Leeanne's kits since I'm not on the DT anymore, and when I saw the one for this month, I fell in LOVE with it and just had to buy one! It's gorgeous and I can't wait to work with it some more...

So thanks for stopping by today! I promise it won't be as long before I share something new again. :)

First layout of 2012!

I am SO excited because I actually made a layout yesterday!! I didn't realize this before but I haven't actually created a layout since OCTOBER. :( That is so sad to me and totally unacceptable. I started this hobby because I wanted to find a beautiful way to record memories for my family and not doing anything along those lines for 2 months is NOT the way to do it, ugh! That will definitely not be the case this year though because I've joined a year long challenge at my Scrappin-N-Chattin group called the 52 week challenge. It's something we did last year (that I failed at, sigh) and have decided to do again this year (and I will noooooot fail again!). All you have to do is create one new layout each week with a few guidelines. It's as easy as can be, as long as you make it a priority, which I plan to do! So, here is my first layout for the year, and the first for the challenge...

Supplies: Fancy Pants Love Birds Collection - In Love, Bunches Of Love, Strips, Bracket Die Cut Paper; Craft Smart Ink - Chocolate Brown; Colorbox Chalk Ink - Rose Coral; Ali Edwards Studio AE Stamp Set - This One; Fiskars Scallop Sentiment Border Punch; Fiskars Heart Punch; Martha Stewart Heart Confetti Punch; iRock; iRock Clear Gems; BoBunny Ooh La La Alphabet Stickers; CK Jot Computer Font
*Inspired by the 12/27/11 Sketch (#31) at Frosted Designs

Isn't that just the sweetest?? These pictures were taken when Emily (who is now 12) was only 8 months old! I love scrapping old pictures because they bring back so many memories. :) I'm also excited about this layout because I used a brand new paper collection that was gifted to me by a friend for it. We have a sweet lady in our group named Carol, who we affectionately call the PPP (Pretty Paper Police, lol!), who encourages us to use our newer paper collections and not save them for "one day". I'm loving it! I have waaaaaay too many collections that I haven't used a single sheet of paper from and I want to change that so I'm counting on Carol to keep me on my toes this year. ;)

Thanks for stopping by today! I'll be back soon...
