MMD Sketch #31

Hello!  There's a new sketch from Miracles Momma Designs that I'd like to share with you today and it's AWESOME...

Supplies: Crate Paper Paper Heart Collection - Romance, Delicate, Petals, Delivery; Tim Holtz Distress Ink - Walnut Stain, Spun Sugar; Studio Calico Mister Huey - Classic Calico, Piglet, Pretty Pink; AC/Dear Lizzy Neapolitan Roller Date Stamp; Cocoa Daisy Stamps - Feathers; Paper Smooches Stamps - Geo-Graphic; One Little Dreamer Stamps - Happy Ending; EK Success Embossed Curved Border Punch; My Mind's Eye Lost & Found 3 Enamel Dots - Ruby; Cricut Title; A Little Pot Font

As soon as I saw the sketch I was totally inspired! I had these 3 Instagram pics of my hubby and I on New Year's Eve that worked perfectly for it, and all of the layers inspired me to mix in some different colors with my patterned papers. I even did some stamping in the background to add another layer which turned out great! I really love how it all came together and I seriously think I need to scrap us more because we make good looking pages, LOL! ;)

How do you like the sketch?  If you get creative with it, please be sure to link us up over at the MMD blog so we can all check it out!  Thanks so much for visiting me today...

Project Life Title Page

Hello friends!  I have some exciting (well to me anyway, lol) news to share today...I'm doing Project Life this year!  I was inspired by a couple of sweet friends of mine who are doing it (thanks again Suzanne & Sandi!!) to try it myself and I'm SO glad I did!  I'd like to share my title page with you today...

Supplies: Crate Paper Paper Heart 6x6 Pad; Tim Holtz Distress Ink - Walnut Stain; Studio Calico Mister Huey - Clay; Ali Edwards Stamps - This One, Sweet Baby, Days Of The Week, It's In The Details; Cocoa Daisy Stamps - A Day In The Life Sentiments & Symbols; Beary Sweet Stamps - Point & Click; AC/Dear Lizzy Neapolitan Roller Date Stamp; Fiskars Round & Round Circle Punch - Extra Large; Fiskars Twinkle Twinkle Star Punches - Large, Medium; Stampin' Up! Butterfly Punch; Martha Stewart Heart Confetti Punch; Tim Holtz Tiny Attacher; We R Memory Keepers Corner Chomper; Doodlebug Loopy Lou Alpha Stickers - Bon Bon; My Mind's Eye The Sweetest Thing Enamel Dots - Bluebell (Smile), Tangerine (Together); Washi Tape - Bella Blvd, October Afternoon, Misc; Just The Way You Are Font

How fun is that??  I found a really cute 8 1/2" by 11" album and got some baseball card protector page inserts to use inside of it.  They have 2 1/2" by 3 1/2" openings and it's such a fun size to work with!  There are 9 pockets on each page and since I tend to take alot of pictures, this gives me the option to use more of them if I want to each week.  I also decided to use all Instagram pics and through Snapfish I figured out a way to get them perfectly sized for this album so I'm feeling like it was meant to be. :) I'm absolutely loving this process so far and can't wait to share more with you!

Sketches In Thyme Sketch #100

It's time to share another new sketch from Sketches In Thyme with you. :) We've got a great two pager this week...

Supplies: Fancy Pants Love Bird Collection - Bunches Of Love, Love Dots, Only One, True Love; Tim Holtz Distress Ink - Walnut Stain; Studio Calico Mister Huey - Calico Cream, Pretty Pink, Overdue, Custard; Fiskars Round & Round Circle Punches - Extra Large, Large; EK Success Embossed Curve Border Punch; Doodlebug Loopy Lou Alpha Stickers - Bon Bon; Basic Grey Button; Twine

I took my inspiration from both sides of the sketch for this page about my sweet girl Madison. When she was a baby, she was diagnosed with RSV and had to be hospitalized. Boy was that a scary time! Thankfully after a few days spent in an oxygen tent, with wonderful doctors and nurses, she got better, and she's really healthy these days. :) I wanted to keep my layout simple so that the pictures would be the focus and I'm really happy with it...

So what do you think of the sketch? If you like it, you should totally link up a project using it by the 31st over at the Sketches In Thyme blog so you can be entered to win a prize. ;) Good luck and thanks for visiting today!

Congrats Doris!!!  I guess that's definitely one way to make sure your hubby remembers your birthday and anniversary right?  Lol!  I'll contact you asap about your goodies! :)

----------

Now I'd like to share a new layout with you!  My sister's birthday is next week and I wanted to create something for her because she always loves handmade gifts.  She even has a few layouts that I've made her hanging up in her house!  Well, the last time I was there I realized that I hadn't made her one with our mom in it yet, so when I saw this picture of the two of them together on her FB page, I snagged it, lol!

Supplies: Fancy Pants Wishful Thinking Collection - Corsage, Memories, My Party, Adorable, Rose Petals; Tim Holtz Distress Ink - Walnut Stain; Colorbox Chalk Ink - Chestnut Roan; Ali Edwards Stamps - Family Is, Family Circle; AC/Dear Lizzy Neapolitan Roller Date Stamp; Fiskars 3" Circle Punch; EK Success 2 1/2" Circle Punch; Fiskars Round & Round Circle Punches - Extra Large, Large, Medium; Stampin' Up! Butterfly Punch; Martha Stewart Circle Cutters; Tim Holtz Edge Distresser; iRock; Jolee's Hotfix Jewels - Jonquil; Bella Blvd. Washi Tape; Basic Grey Button; Twine; AR Berkley Font

I found a wonderful quote online about a mother and daughter that matched the feel of the picture and decided to use it for the journaling, and it also went perfectly with my title which I had already stamped and added to the page...pretty freaky huh? ;) Anyway, I absolutely adore how it all came together and I really think she'll love it too!

Note: The design of my page was inspired by this sketch...

My friend Ashley found the sketch on Pinterest and shared it with our scrapbooking group last month, but it only linked it to the Ideas For Scrapbookers website, not a specific post, so I can't give credit where credit is due. :( So, if anyone out there knows who created this sketch, please leave me a comment letting me know who it is and I'll link them up!
