Sharing A Teacher Gift

If you're here for the giveaway, please see this post! :)

----------------------

Hello there friends!!  I've got a new layout to share with you today that I created for a teacher gift...

Supplies: Authentique Fresh Collection - Clean, Pure, Crisp; Tim Holtz Distress Ink - Pumice Stone, Fired Brick; Ali Edwards Stamps - Kids Are Cool; AC/Dear Lizzy Neapolitan Date Roller Stamp; Fiskars Round & Round Punches; Fiskars Twinkle Twinkle Punches; Stampin' Up! Three Heart Punch; My Mind's Eye Nostalgia Brads; Basic Grey Button; Twine; sf Eleanor Font

We framed it and gave it to them at the Christmas party and they absolutely LOVED it!  There's nothing like seeing a teacher's face light up with joy because of something you've done for them, and these ladies are so special to our family, so I'm glad I was able to show them a little of that. :)

I hope you're having a great Saturday!  See you soon...

Sketches In Thyme #97 & Giveaway!!!

Goooooooooooood morning everyone!!  It's time for me to share the newest Sketches In Thyme sketch with you, and if you stick around until the end of my post, there's a giveaway!  This one is a two pager and I took inspiration from the left side for my page about three little fishies...

Supplies: Echo Park Splash collection - Journaling, Fish, Mini Stripes, Sunshine; Tim Holtz Distress Inks - Walnut Stain, Scattered Straw; Ali Edwards Stamps - Kids Are Cool; Paper Smooches Stamps - Good Gab; Heidi Swapp Roller Date Stamp; Fiskars Twinkle Twinkle Punch; EK Success Swiss Cheese Edger Punch; Basic Grey Button; Twine; Just The Way You Are Font

How adorable is that? ;) If you can believe it, this photo is from 2008!  My girls were super excited to visit their Aunt Amy that day because she surprised them and their cousin Kasey with a pop-up pool in the backyard!  They all love to be in the water, so everyone was super happy about it and stayed in there pretty much all Summer long, lol...

So what do you think of the sketch?  If it inspires you to create something, we'd love to see it!  You have until the end of the month to link up your project inspired by any of this month's sketches over at the Sketches In Thyme blog, and if you do you'll be in the running for a great prize!  So what are you waiting for?  Go get creative! :)

Ohhhhh wait a minute, I did say something about a giveaway didn't I? ;) Ok, well if you have a few minutes to spare before getting those creative juices get flowing, I've got one for you!!  Today is my 35th birthday (yes, I am a woman and did say that out loud, LOL!) and I'd like to give YOU a chance to win a present!  Check out this assortment of goodies...

It includes the following items: Martha Stewart Heart And Flower Stamp Set, My Mind's Eye Mabel 6x6 Paper Pad, Making Memories Noteworthy Tara Glitter Stickers, American Crafts This To That Foam Tabs, K&Company Paper Ribbon, (2) Rolls American Crafts Ribbon, (2) Fantastix

How fun is that??  All you have to do to enter is leave me a comment letting me know what the best birthday present you ever received was (mine was my oldest daughter who was born 6 days before my birthday!), and your email address so that I can reach you if you're the winner.  Also please note this giveaway is only open to the USA because of shipping costs.  The giveaway will remain open until next YEAR, hahahaha! :) I'll choose the lucky person on the 3rd of January, 2013.  Good luck and thanks for stopping by!

Scrap It Girl December Challenge

Goooooooood morning my friends!!  Wow, can you believe it's already December??  That's totally crazy right?  I feel like November flew right by, lol. ;) Anyway, a new month means a new challenge over at Scrap It Girl!  This month we want to see you use a clock in some way on a project...

Supplies: BoBunny Mama-Razzi Collection - Tabloid, Dot, Mama-Razzi; Tim Holtz Distress Ink - Walnut Stain; Ali Edwards Stamps - Simple Joy; Cuttlebug; Quickutz Heart & Arrow Die; Stampin' Up Heart Punch; Fiskars Twinkle Twinkle Punch; Fiskars Nice Tri Punch; Amy Tangerine Thickers - Woodgrain Muse; Recollections Washi Tape; Remington Noiseless Font

When I saw the challenge, I got all excited because I instantly knew what picture and papers I wanted to use, and I knew I had a flair button and a brad with clocks on them...and then I couldn't find either, LOL.  Don't you love it when that happens?? ;) Thankfully I came across this awesome Washi tape that has clocks on it that worked perfectly for my layout.  The clock theme just fits because this is a very special moment in time that I never want to forget and one I'm very thankful that I captured.  I snapped this shot of my hubby dancing with our daughter at my cousin's wedding and I've wanted to scrap it for such a loooong time.  I think I was struggling with what to say about it in the journaling, but this challenge got my gears spinning and it all worked out!  Now I loooove the page. :)

So what do you think of the challenge?  Have something in mind?  If so, we'd love for you to play along!!  Make sure to link up your project at the Scrap It Girl blog by the end of the month and you'll have a chancce to win a fun prize!  Good luck and thanks for popping in for a visit today!
