EDLC Day #2

Another day done! One of the extra challenges this month in my scrapping group is to use paint or Glimmermist behind the photo on a layout. Well, I found an amazing layout by Julie Bonner, where she sprayed some Glimmermist behind her picture and it looks awesome! I decided to lift her design for my page but use paint instead, and I love how it turned out!

Supplies: SEI Paper Pad - Lovebirds; Craft Smart Ink - Chocolate Brown; Adirondack Paint Dabber - Espresso; Martha Stewart Butterfly Punch; Doodlebug Loopy Lou Alphabet Stickers - Bon Bon; Making Memories Tiny Alphas - Ledger; Recollections Pearls
*Inspired by Julie Bonner's layout seen in the post here on her blog

To get the paint to look the way it does, I dabbed my paintbrush into the paint and then flicked it down onto the page with my finger. Then I took a papertowel and very lightly dabbed some on the page in certain spots. I love the random, messy effect I got! ;)

See you tomorrow for day #3! Have an awesome day...

I love this layout! I love how you did the butterflies, and I'm probably going to scraplift. Just a lovely display of an even lovelier photo.

the design on this one look GREAT!!! and the paint splatters are such a great touch. i might have to try that, but i'm scared i'll make too much of a mess. LOL
