Cardabilities Reveal #16

Good morning! It's time for the reveal of sketch #16 at Cardabilities!! I realllllly liked this one and stayed pretty close to the design of it when creating my card...

Supplies: Basic Grey 6x6 Paper Pad - Oliver; Technique Tuesday Studio AE Stamp Set - Sentimentally Ali; Colorbox Chalk Ink - Chestnut Roan; Colorbox Chalk Ink - Blackbird; Craft Smart Ink - Chocolate Brown; Cuttlebug; Quickutz Cloud & Grass Dies; Buttons

Cute right?? I have to apologize for the picture because I know it's not the greatest. :( We've had ALOT of windy days here lately and it's been impossible for me to get a good shot of my cards outside. Hopefully that'll let up SOON!

Make sure you stop by the Cardabilities blog today and check out all of the other DT cards...they look great! Also, we'd really love it if you'd play along and create a card of your own using the sketch. If you do, make sure you link it up for all of us to see and leave comments. :) Have a great day!

Some Artful Delight projects...

I made a couple more projects with my Artful Delight November Kit the other day and wanted to share them with you! Each year I take a TON of pictures of our Thanksgiving dinner at my mom's house. It's really hard to fit all of them into a layout without crowding it, but I don't like to leave any out either. The perfect solution? A mini album!

Supplies Used From The Artful Delight November Kit: Fancy Pants Lilac House Paper - Photoboard; Prima Essentials Flower - So Cute; Prima Sprites No. 3 Flower; Maya Road Trinket Pins - Brown; American Crafts Stroll Thickers - Chestnut

Other Supplies: Tim Holtz Distress Ink - Brushed Corduroy; Craft Smart Ink - Chocolate Brown; Cosmo Cricket Tiny Type Stickers - Brown; American Crafts Button; Twine; Crop-A-Dile

Isn't that great?? I've got the cover all ready to go and as soon as I can get my pics printed, I'll fill up the inside. I may give it to my mom as a gift since I think she'd really enjoy having it...or I might keep it and make her another one! ;)

The other project I made was a small blessings journal for myself. I kept it really simple but I absolutely love the look of it and can't wait to start filling it up...

Supplies Used From The Artful Delight November Kit: Fancy Pants Lilac House Paper - Strips & Photoboard

Other Supplies: Bazzill Cardstock - Carob; Technique Tuesday Studio AE September Stamp Set; Prima Notary Background Stamp; Colorbox Chalk Ink - Chestnut Roan; Craft Smart Ink - Chocolate Brown; Martha Stewart Heart Scallop Border Punch; Martha Stewart Butterfly Punches; Recollections Pearls; Crop-A-Dile

The inside pages are stamped with an awesome Unity stamp called Scalloped Journal, which turned out to be perfect for the size of my pages! I love it when that happens. :)

So that's it from me for today. I'm SO glad you stopped by! If you haven't had a chance to pick up your November Kit from Artful Delight yet, you definitely should! I think there's only one left in stock though, so you better hurry. ;) One other thing I'd like to mention is that Leeanne is having a 40% off sale right now on some great items! To see what they all are, you can visit her blog post about the sale here.

Just a note: I receive the Artful Delight monthly kit for free because I'm a DT member, but please be assured that my opinions are my own! Anything I say about these kits is how I truly feel. ;)

The Paper Variety Challenge #11!

The new challenge for this week over at The Paper Variety is a very exciting one!

Pretty neat right? ;) I was a little stumped at first about what I wanted to do, but then an idea popped into my head. I have a few empty Prima flower tins like this one...

I didn't want to throw away the containers after I took the flowers out (I store mine in jars), just in case I could use it for something later on. You know how us scrappers are, lol! :) Anyway, I decided to use it to make a gift tin...

Supplies: Basic Grey Paper - Wassail Snow Dust; Colorbox Chalk Ink - Chestnut Roan; Craft Smart Ink - Chocolate Brown; Adirondack Paint Dabber - Espresso; Ranger Stickles - Frosted Lace; American Crafts Glass Slipper Thickers; Prima Flower; Recollections Pearls; Making Memories Button; Twine

Isn't that just adorable?? Another cool thing is that I have some coasters that I bought at Michaels that fit perfectly inside! My plan is to make a mini album for a certain somebody (who reads my blog so I won't mention any names, lol!) and give it to her for Christmas inside the cute tin. I know she'll love it!! I'll be sure to share more pics once the album is done. :)

So what do you think you can create?? There are tons of possibilities for this challenge and I can't wait to see what everyone does! Make sure you link up your project by next Tuesday for a chance to win this awesome prize from ScrappyJo's...

Also, be sure to stop by The Paper Variety's blog today and check out what all of the other DT members created. I promise you'll be inspired! Thanks for stopping by. :)

My Holiday Wish List Meme

TodaysMama (http://bit.ly/tmwishlist) and GameStop (http://bit.ly/gamestop10) are giving away a sleighful of gifts this holiday season and to enter I’m sharing this meme with you.

1. What is your holiday wish for your family? - That we can enjoy the time together and be thankful for all of the blessings we have.

2. What is your Christmas morning tradition? - We get up a little bit early, and then tear right into the presents! After everyone's enjoyed opening everything up, we spend some time playing with new toys or games, and then enjoy some yummy breakfast together.

3. If you could ask Santa for one, completely decadent wish for yourself, what would it be? - For me, it would be a Silhouette die-cutting machine. I've had one on my wishlist for a long time now! ;)

4. How do you make the holidays special without spending any money? - I make some of the gifts with my scrapping supplies! I actually learned a couple of new things this year that have made some pretty cool gifts.

5. What games did you play with your family growing up? - I remember us playing alot of board games, my favorite being Parcheesi. Why you ask? Because I always WON!

6. What holiday tradition have you carried on from your own childhood? - Opening one gift on Christmas Eve and also filling stockings with yummy candy and small goodies.

7. Where would you go for a Christmas-away-from-home trip? - Definitely Disneyland. We've wanted to take our girls for a looooong time but it's just too much money right now.

8. Check out GameStop (http://bit.ly/gamestop10) and tell us, what are the three top items on your GameStop Wish List this year? - A Nintendo DS XL, Epic Mickey for the Wii, and Super Mario All-Stars for the Wii.

Romans 8:28 Wall Hanging (Artful Delight)

My sweet girls were SO good for me yesterday and played together very sweetly so that I could do some creating! I worked with some more of the items from the Artful Delight November Kit and I had soooo much fun. ;) I made a wall hanging with an amazing Scripture on it...

Supplies Used From The Artful Delight November Kit: Fancy Pants Lilac House Paper - Heirloom & Needlepoint; Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist - Juneberry Wine; Ranger Stickles - Waterfall; Prima Flower - Lilliput Iris Rose; Jillibean Soup Bean Stalks Twine; Doily

Other Supplies: Bazzill Cardstock - Witch Hazel & Bouquet; Craft Smart Ink - Chocolate Brown; Tim Holtz Distress Ink - Dusty Concord; Martha Stewart Monarch Butterfly Punches; EK Success Scallop Corner Punch; i-Rock; i-Rock Clear Gems; Crop-A-Dile; Bazzill Flower; DCWV Vellum Quote; Making Memories Brads

I love what this Verse says and the meaning behind it. :) I'm also very happy with the way the wall hanging looks. It was one of those times that I just let go and started putting things down without planning it out and it turned out just how I wanted it to. I love it when that happens!

A cool tip to share...you can use doilies with your punches! For the smallest of my butterflies, I took one of the doilies included in the kit and sprayed it with the Juneberry Wine Glimmer Mist. Once it dried, I punched some butterflies from the center and then inked them with some Dusty Concord Distress Ink. It made them the perfect color purple and gave them an amazing texture! Just make sure that the doily is completely dry before you start punching...otherwise you end up with a crumpled shape. Trust me here, lol!! ;)

I hope you've seen some things from the kit that you like so far this month. Be sure to stop by Leeanne's blog to see some amazing creations from the other DT member's also. This kit is definitely an amazing deal and worth checking out!

Just a note: I receive the Artful Delight monthly kit for free because I'm a DT member, but please be assured that my opinions are my own! Anything I say about these kits is how I truly feel. ;)

Cardabilities Reveal #15

Good morning!! It's that time again...time for another amazing Cardabilties sketch reveal! This is the 15th reveal I've been a part of and it amazes me that each and every sketch is so unique and easy to work with. I love it! This week's sketch is no different...

So versatile!! I decided to do a birthday card this week. I recently found a new love...Quickutz! These little dies cut like butter in my Cuttlebug and the best part about them is the price. At my LSS, the 2x2 dies are only $3.99! You can't beat that, right? ;) So anyway, one of my new dies is a balloon. I've wanted some sort of balloon die or punch FOREVER so I was thrilled to find one and wanted to use it right away. A birthday card seemed like a great idea...

Supplies: Fancy Pants Paper - The Daily Grind; Stampin' Up Stamp (Sentiment); Hero Arts Cling Dots Stamp (Card Background); Hampton Art Border Background Stamp Set (Balloon Background); Colorbox Chalk Ink - Chestnut Roan; Craft Smart Ink - Chocolate Brown; Tim Holtz Distress Ink - Scattered Straw; Slice; Slice Noteworthy Design Card; Cuttlebug; Quickutz Balloon Die; Tim Holtz Tiny Attacher; Twine

Seriously, how CUTE is that?? I looooooooove how they look, and they worked perfectly with the great sketch too. I just love it when things come together so well, don't you?? :)

Everyone else on the DT did a wonderful job with their cards, so make sure you drop by the blog for today's post...you won't be dissapointed! We'd love it if you'd play along and create a card of your own using the sketch too. If you do, make sure you link it up so we can check it out and leave you some love! Thanks for stopping by. :)

My Beautiful View (Artful Delight)

I made another layout with the Artful Delight November kit a few days ago. I used a picture that's very special so I kept the page pretty simple in order to let it shine. I think it worked because I just adore how it looks, and since that's what matters most, I'm a very happy lady! :)

Supplies Used From The Artful Delight November Kit: Fancy Pants Lilac House Paper - Lavender Leaves, Chamomile, English Garden & Strips; Tattered Angerls Glimmer Mist - Juneberry Wine

Additional Supplies: Craft Smart Ink - Chocolate Brown; Martha Stewart Monarch Butterfly Punches; EK Success Scallop Photo Corner Punch; Cosmo Cricket Tiny Type Stickers - Brown; Recollections Pearls
*Inspired by Helen Croft's Sketch #28

I took this amazing picture last year when we went to the beach. I absolutely LOVE it. When I look at it of course I see the gorgeous ocean, but what really catches my eye is my beautiful family. I am SO thankful for them and pictures like this are the ones that really mean the most to me. Moments that I will always remember and that will forever capture how blessed I am. God has really been good to me. ;)

I hope you don't mind my mushiness, but I've really been thinking alot lately about how lucky I am and I want to be sure that I don't ever take what I have for granted. I want to be thankful each and every day, and making layouts like this one will really help me to do that...

So anyway, this is the second layout that I've made from the kit so far, as well as a card and another project I've already started working on, and I haven't even made a dent in what was in it yet! It's such an amazing value and if you get yourself one (available for purchase here), I promise you won't regret it. :) Thanks for stopping by today!

Just a note: I receive the Artful Delight monthly kit for free because I'm a DT member, but please be assured that my opinions are my own! Anything I say about these kits is how I truly feel. ;)

This Is The Day (Artful Delight)

I had a chance to do some more creating with my Artful Delight November Kit (available here for purchase) a few days ago and made this card. I really love how it turned out!

Additional Supplies: Bazzill Cardstock - Witch Hazel; Colorbox Chalk Ink - Chestnut Roan; Craft Smart Ink - Chocolate Brown; Technique Tuesday/Ali Edwards Stamp - This Is The Day; Martha Stewart Monarch Butterfly Punches; EK Success Scallop Photo Corner Punch; Recollections Pearls

The papers in the kit are FABULOUS! I've never been much of a purple person, but the purples in this collection are so soft and pretty that it's hard not to love them. ;) Also, this was my very first time using Stickles, and let me say that I can finally see what all the fuss is about! I can definitely see myself getting some more colors in the near future...

Thanks for checking out my card today. Be sure to head over to the Artful Delight blog for some more inspiration using this month's kit. I hope you have an amazing day!! :)
