Believe (Artful Delight)

Hello there! I did a layout yesterday using my Artful Delight December kit and I wanted to share it with you. This page is really special to me because I used a couple of pictures from our first Christmas as a family of 4! My babies were so little...

Supplies Used From The Artful Delight December Kit: Echo Park Wintertime Paper - Berries, Falling Snowflakes, Stripes & Red Swirls; Little Yellow Bicycle Christmas Banner; Little Yellow Bicycle Christmas Jewels; Ranger Stickles - Christmas Red; Chipboard Christmas Tree

Other Supplies Used: Tim Holtz Distress Ink - Fired Brick; Craft Smart Ink - Chocolate Brown; Adirondack Paint Dabber - Snow Cap; Fiskars Scallop Sentiment Border Punch; Fiskars Heart Punch; Martha Stewart Heart Confetti Punch; Making Memories Sanding Block

Aren't my sweet girls so precious?? I can't believe how fast they're growing up! Anyway, I hope you like the layout. The December kit is all sold out but hopefully you can still be inspired to go get creating yourself. Maybe grab a couple of those older pictures you've been waiting to scrap and get that page done! I promise you'll feel amazing once you do. :)

Cardabilities Reveal #18

Goooooood morning!!! I hope everyone is having an amazing Thursday so far. I am still shocked that we only have 2 days left in the year! It's crazy how fast time can pass isn't it? Hopefully 2011 will go by a little bit slower. ;)

Today is reveal day for sketch #18 over at Cardabilities and it's another great one! Karan really amazes me with all the wonderful sketch ideas she comes up with...

Supplies: Cosmo Cricket Paper Pad - Mitten Weather; Tim Holtz Distress Ink - Fired Brick; Close To My Heart Stamp; Cuttlebug; Quickutz Sunburst Die (For Banner); Martha Stewart Heart Border Punch; Tim Holtz Tiny Attacher; Twine

My card turned out to be very monochromatic this time around. Kind of different for me, but I really like the look of it. I'm thinking it might be something I try more of soon...

Make sure you stop by the Cardabilities blog today and see the other DT cards...everyone really made the sketch their own. Oh, and make sure you stop by in January too because we have an amazing month coming up!! ;)

Is this cute or what? (Artful Delight)

Hello there! I wanted to share a quick project I did last week with the Artful Delight December Kit. I needed a small gift for my sister for Christmas so I decided to alter a picture frame for her desk at work. I used this great picture of her and her honey and I think it turned out great! She really loved it...

Supplies Used From The Artful Delight December Kit: Echo Park Wintertime Paper - Stripes

Other Supplies: Bazzill Cardstock - Red Rock; Craft Smart Ink - Chocolate Brown; Cuttlebug; Cuttlebug Heart Die; Fiskars Heart Punch; Papertrey Ink Button; Twine; Recollections Pearls

Isn't that cute?? I guess I wouldn't really call it altering a picture frame since it's really just a clear frame that I embellished, but you get the picture, right? ;) The best part about this was how easy it was to do! The entire thing took me about 25 minutes and cost about $1. Can't beat that!

I'm sorry to say that the December kit is sold out but hopefully you'll still be inspired to try something like this yourself. It's alot of fun! :) Thanks for stopping by today...

Just a note: I receive the Artful Delight monthly kit for free because I'm a DT member, but please be assured that my opinions are my own! Anything I say about these kits is how I truly feel. ;)

Today is the last day of school for my girls and then they're out for Christmas break...yay! I headed over to Bath & Body Works yesterday to pick up some lotions and hand sanitizers for each of their teachers and made up little gift bags with them, along with the candy jars I posted about last week. I wanted to make some cards to go along with the gifts, so I got out a few of my supplies and created these...

Supplies: Bazzill Kraft Cardstock; Papertrey Ink Vintage Cream Cardstock; Unity Background Stamp - Baby Boy Plaid ; MLT Studio 18 Stamp; Colorbox Chalk Ink - Chestnut Roan; Craft Smart Ink - Chocolate Brown; Cuttlebug; Cuttlebug Heart Die; Felt; Ribbon

Cute right?? ;) I love how easy they were to make and the really cool thing is that they fit right in with challenge #14 over at The Paper Variety this week! It's a photo inspiration challenge and I chose to use the colors because they're perfect for Christmas. :) Oh and since it's not my DT week, I can enter to win the yummy prize, so wish me luck!

I went by my local Michaels last week and picked up some embellishment jars on sale and then headed over to Target and grabbed a bag of Hershey's Kisses. After I got home, I pulled out my Artful Delight December Kit and went to work. This is what I made...

Supplies Used From The Artful Delight December Kit: Echo Park Wintertime Paper - Frost (I used the back that has (4) 6x6 patterns on it...one for each side of the jar); Ranger Stickles - Christmas Red; Little Yellow Bicycle Christmas Jewel Stickers

Other Supplies: Bazzill Cardstock - Red Rock; Ali Edwards Stamp Set - Sentimentally Ali; Colorbox Chalk Ink - Chestnut Roan; Craft Smart Ink - Chocolate Brown; Tim Holtz Distress Ink - Fired Brick; Adirondack Paint Dabber - Snow Cap; Ranger Stickles - Diamond; Martha Stewart Scallop Heart Border Punch; Fiskars Star Punches; Maya Road Chipboard Snowflakes; American Crafts Buttons

Is that cute or what?? I made 6 of them...one for each of the teachers my daughters have this year. I just know they'll love them! Hey, everybody likes chocolate right?? ;)

Snow Cute!! (Artful Delight)

I am so excited to share with you today! Last week I received my December kit from Artful Delight and I couldn't WAIT to start creating with it! Why was I soooo excited you ask? Well, because the paper collection in this kit is Echo Park's Wintertime! I just adore Echo Park. ADORE them! And Leeanne picked some amazing things to go along with the collection...just look at all of this amazing product...

Is that awesome or what?? :) To see a list of everything included in the kit and how you can get one for yourself, you can visit the Artful Delight store here.

Our amazing DT member Debbie created the sketch for December and it's fabulous! As soon as I saw it, I knew just what picture I wanted to use, and I think my layout turned out great. :) Here's the sketch along with pics of my page...

Supplies Used From The Artful Delight December Kit: Echo Park Wintertime Papers - Snow, Snowman, & Journaling Cards (the back of it); Ranger Stickles - Christmas Red; Chipboard Snowman

Other Supplies: Bazzill Cardstock - Red Rock; Tim Holtz Distress Ink - Fired Brick; Craft Smart Ink - Chocolate Brown; Papertrey Ink Banner Die; Fiskars Circle Punches; Ranger Stickles - Frosted Lace; Adirondack Paint Dabbers - Snow Cap & Espresso; Maya Road Chipboard Letters - William; Baker's Twine; Papertrey Ink Buttons

Madison looooooved that hat, and definitely looked "Snow Cute" in it, don't you think?? Ok, ok, so maybe I was a little bit corny with the play on words there, but that's me, so I'm cool with it, lol! ;) I'd definitely have to say that my favorite part of the layout is that ADORABLE little snowman! It was so much fun decorating and putting him together. Love it!

Be sure to check out the Artful Delight blog this week to see everyone's take on the sketch. Also, if you play along and create a project using the sketch, you'll be in the drawing to win January's kit for FREE! Can't beat that right? :) Good luck if you enter, and thanks for stopping by today...

Just a note: I receive the Artful Delight monthly kit for free because I'm a DT member, but please be assured that my opinions are my own! Anything I say about these kits is how I truly feel. ;)

Cute right?? I have to apologize for the picture because I know it's not the greatest. :( We've had ALOT of windy days here lately and it's been impossible for me to get a good shot of my cards outside. Hopefully that'll let up SOON!

Make sure you stop by the Cardabilities blog today and check out all of the other DT cards...they look great! Also, we'd really love it if you'd play along and create a card of your own using the sketch. If you do, make sure you link it up for all of us to see and leave comments. :) Have a great day!

Some Artful Delight projects...

I made a couple more projects with my Artful Delight November Kit the other day and wanted to share them with you! Each year I take a TON of pictures of our Thanksgiving dinner at my mom's house. It's really hard to fit all of them into a layout without crowding it, but I don't like to leave any out either. The perfect solution? A mini album!

Supplies Used From The Artful Delight November Kit: Fancy Pants Lilac House Paper - Photoboard; Prima Essentials Flower - So Cute; Prima Sprites No. 3 Flower; Maya Road Trinket Pins - Brown; American Crafts Stroll Thickers - Chestnut

Other Supplies: Tim Holtz Distress Ink - Brushed Corduroy; Craft Smart Ink - Chocolate Brown; Cosmo Cricket Tiny Type Stickers - Brown; American Crafts Button; Twine; Crop-A-Dile

Isn't that great?? I've got the cover all ready to go and as soon as I can get my pics printed, I'll fill up the inside. I may give it to my mom as a gift since I think she'd really enjoy having it...or I might keep it and make her another one! ;)

The other project I made was a small blessings journal for myself. I kept it really simple but I absolutely love the look of it and can't wait to start filling it up...

Supplies Used From The Artful Delight November Kit: Fancy Pants Lilac House Paper - Strips & Photoboard

Other Supplies: Bazzill Cardstock - Carob; Technique Tuesday Studio AE September Stamp Set; Prima Notary Background Stamp; Colorbox Chalk Ink - Chestnut Roan; Craft Smart Ink - Chocolate Brown; Martha Stewart Heart Scallop Border Punch; Martha Stewart Butterfly Punches; Recollections Pearls; Crop-A-Dile

The inside pages are stamped with an awesome Unity stamp called Scalloped Journal, which turned out to be perfect for the size of my pages! I love it when that happens. :)

So that's it from me for today. I'm SO glad you stopped by! If you haven't had a chance to pick up your November Kit from Artful Delight yet, you definitely should! I think there's only one left in stock though, so you better hurry. ;) One other thing I'd like to mention is that Leeanne is having a 40% off sale right now on some great items! To see what they all are, you can visit her blog post about the sale here.

Just a note: I receive the Artful Delight monthly kit for free because I'm a DT member, but please be assured that my opinions are my own! Anything I say about these kits is how I truly feel. ;)

The Paper Variety Challenge #11!

The new challenge for this week over at The Paper Variety is a very exciting one!

Pretty neat right? ;) I was a little stumped at first about what I wanted to do, but then an idea popped into my head. I have a few empty Prima flower tins like this one...

I didn't want to throw away the containers after I took the flowers out (I store mine in jars), just in case I could use it for something later on. You know how us scrappers are, lol! :) Anyway, I decided to use it to make a gift tin...

Supplies: Basic Grey Paper - Wassail Snow Dust; Colorbox Chalk Ink - Chestnut Roan; Craft Smart Ink - Chocolate Brown; Adirondack Paint Dabber - Espresso; Ranger Stickles - Frosted Lace; American Crafts Glass Slipper Thickers; Prima Flower; Recollections Pearls; Making Memories Button; Twine

Isn't that just adorable?? Another cool thing is that I have some coasters that I bought at Michaels that fit perfectly inside! My plan is to make a mini album for a certain somebody (who reads my blog so I won't mention any names, lol!) and give it to her for Christmas inside the cute tin. I know she'll love it!! I'll be sure to share more pics once the album is done. :)

So what do you think you can create?? There are tons of possibilities for this challenge and I can't wait to see what everyone does! Make sure you link up your project by next Tuesday for a chance to win this awesome prize from ScrappyJo's...

Also, be sure to stop by The Paper Variety's blog today and check out what all of the other DT members created. I promise you'll be inspired! Thanks for stopping by. :)
