Soulmates

The scrapping group that I'm a part of, Scrappin-n-Chattin, just had our monthly 24 hour challenge (to see how it works, visit this post). It's SO fun! I recently got some of the Thrift Shop collection by October Afternoon and I was so excited to get to use it for this!! I did my layout about my sweet hubby and it's definitely one of my most recent favs...

Supplies: October Afternoon Paper - Thrift Shop; Ali Edwards Stamp Sets - Favorite Memories, Loving Words & Adored By Ali (Studio AE); Tim Holtz Distress Ink - Scattered Straw; Craft Smart Ink - Chocolate Brown; Cuttle Bug; Cuttlebug 2-Step Heart Dies; Fiskars Scallop Border Punch; Marvy Circle Punch; Doodlebug Cardstock Loopy Lou Alphabet Stickers - Bon Bon; Recollections Pearls
*Inspired by the 1/9/11 Sketch at the Studio Calico blog

I seem to scrap mostly about my beautiful girls, which of course I love, but I realized lately that I don't scrap enough pages about us. I seriously need to change that because our relationship is amazing! This layout is a great start because I really focused on the journaling and made it a priority. I definitely see many more pages like this one in my future. :)

Cardabilities Reveal #24

It's time to share another Cardabilities reveal with you! Today we have sketch #24, which is really great and versatile. I can definitely see plenty of uses for this one...

Supplies: Basic Grey 6x6 Paper Pad - Origins; Ali Edwards/Technique Tuesday Stamp Set - Simply You; Colorbox Chalk Ink - Blackbird; Colorbox Chalk Ink - Chestnut Roan; Craft Smart Ink - Chocolate Brown; Fiskars Scallop Border Punch; Tim Holtz Edge Distresser; Prima Flower; Making Memories Button; Twine; Recollections Pearls

Make sure you stop by the blog today and check out all of the DT cards...it's so awesome how everyone made the sketch their own. :) Have a fabulous Sunday!!

Love (and a blog hop!!)

Updated 1/30/11 - Wow, I am so amazed by the number of people who visited my blog for Yolie's blog hop!! Thank you all SO much for your super sweet comments about my layout and to those who decided to become followers! I really appreciate it and hope you enjoy my blog. :)

Now for the winner of the super cute stamp set! I went to random.org and the lucky lady is...

Trisha, who said...
"Your layout is so precious, but your baby girl is more precious. Thanks for sharing this beautiful layout with us and the chance to win. I am a new follower."

Congrats Trisha!!! I'll be emailing you for your address shortly. :) Enjoy your stamps!

--------------------------

Hello there!! I have a new layout to share with you today and it's part of a blog hop! Yolie contacted me a few weeks ago asking me if I'd like to be a part of her blog hop and of course I said yes! I'm honored that she likes my work enough to include me. :) Thanks again Yolie...you're awesome!

The theme of the hop is "Celebrating Our Milestones" and since I consider having my first child to be a huge milestone in my life, I chose to do my layout about that. I used one of my all-time favorite pictures of my oldest daughter Emily from when she was only 2 hours old (seriously though, how CUTE is she??) and I just love the way it turned out...

Supplies: My Mind's Eye Paper - Alphabet Soup (Girl); Bazzill Cardstock - Piglet; Craft smart Ink - Chocolate Brown; Doodlebug Cardstock Alphabet Stickers - Jack & Jill Collection (Bon Bon); Heidi Swapp Ghost Heart; Adirondack Paint Dabber - Espresso; Twine; DMC Floss; Recollections Pearls; Making Memories Sanding Block

Isn't that SO sweet?? I found an awesome quote online that I felt really went along with the feelings I was having that day and it turned out to be perfect. By keeping the page simple and sweet, I feel like the focus is on the picture, which is exactly how it should be right? ;)

So there you go! I hope you've been enjoying the blog hop so far. You should have reached my blog from Celeste, so if you didn't, please start from the beginning at Yolie's blog. There are prizes along the way and it will be tons of fun!!

As a thank you for stopping by, I have a prize up for grabs, which is this great "Time Flies" stamp set by Kelly Panacci...

For your chance to win, just leave a comment saying hi!
