Bahamas Album - Rope Bridge

Hi there friends!  I'm so glad you've stopped by today because I've got another page from our PL style Bahamas album to share with you. :) On one of our many walks around the resort we stayed at, we found a super cool rope bridge to explore and had some fun checking it out...

Supplies: Becky Higgins Dear Lizzy 5th & Frolic PL Cards; Tim Holtz Distress Ink - Walnut Stain; Studio Calico Mister Huey - Dewey; Studio Calico Marks & Co PL Kit Stamp; Elle's Studio Summer Lovin' Cutouts; Freckled Fawn Speech Bubbles Wood Chips; My Mind's Eye Enamel Dots; Amy Tangerine Stitching Template; DMC Floss #644; Traveling_Typewriter Font

In the journaling I talk about how much time we spent at the bridge...including how long it took me to gather up the courage to walk over it, LOL.  Yes, I'm scared of bridges -- any and all bridges.  It was really cool going across this one though and we got some great shots of each other. ;)

Oh and for those of you doing PL who like the Becky Higgins kits, you seriously need to get some of 5th & Frolic!  My friend Sandi is AWESOME and picked one up at her local Michaels for us to split because my store didn't carry it and I loooooooove it.  It's definitely one of my favs...

I hope you're all having a great week so far!  I'll be back soon to share some more.  Thanks for popping in for a visit!

How adorable is that? ;) If you can believe it, this photo is from 2008!  My girls were super excited to visit their Aunt Amy that day because she surprised them and their cousin Kasey with a pop-up pool in the backyard!  They all love to be in the water, so everyone was super happy about it and stayed in there pretty much all Summer long, lol...

So what do you think of the sketch?  If it inspires you to create something, we'd love to see it!  You have until the end of the month to link up your project inspired by any of this month's sketches over at the Sketches In Thyme blog, and if you do you'll be in the running for a great prize!  So what are you waiting for?  Go get creative! :)

Scrap It Girl December Challenge

Goooooooood morning my friends!!  Wow, can you believe it's already December??  That's totally crazy right?  I feel like November flew right by, lol. ;) Anyway, a new month means a new challenge over at Scrap It Girl!  This month we want to see you use a clock in some way on a project...

Supplies: BoBunny Mama-Razzi Collection - Tabloid, Dot, Mama-Razzi; Tim Holtz Distress Ink - Walnut Stain; Ali Edwards Stamps - Simple Joy; Cuttlebug; Quickutz Heart & Arrow Die; Stampin' Up Heart Punch; Fiskars Twinkle Twinkle Punch; Fiskars Nice Tri Punch; Amy Tangerine Thickers - Woodgrain Muse; Recollections Washi Tape; Remington Noiseless Font

When I saw the challenge, I got all excited because I instantly knew what picture and papers I wanted to use, and I knew I had a flair button and a brad with clocks on them...and then I couldn't find either, LOL.  Don't you love it when that happens?? ;) Thankfully I came across this awesome Washi tape that has clocks on it that worked perfectly for my layout.  The clock theme just fits because this is a very special moment in time that I never want to forget and one I'm very thankful that I captured.  I snapped this shot of my hubby dancing with our daughter at my cousin's wedding and I've wanted to scrap it for such a loooong time.  I think I was struggling with what to say about it in the journaling, but this challenge got my gears spinning and it all worked out!  Now I loooove the page. :)

So what do you think of the challenge?  Have something in mind?  If so, we'd love for you to play along!!  Make sure to link up your project at the Scrap It Girl blog by the end of the month and you'll have a chancce to win a fun prize!  Good luck and thanks for popping in for a visit today!

Sketches In Thyme #87

Hi there! I have a new sketch from Sketches In Thyme to show you today, and this one is really fun! Just think of the different patterned papers (or WASHI!!) you can use...

Supplies: Authentique Fresh Collection - Crisp, Clean; Authentique Celebrate Collection - Enjoyment; Tim Holtz Distress Ink - Walnut Stain, Black Soot; Tim Holtz Distress Marker - Black Soot; Studio Calico Mister Huey - Inky Black, Overdue; Ali Edwards Stamp Set - Family Circle; Fiskars Twinkle Twinkle Punch; Martha Stewart Circle Cutter; Studio Calico Wood Veneer Stars; My Mind's Eye Celebrate Brads
*I'd like to say a HUGE thank you to my sweet friend Sandi for gifting me with the floral paper (Enjoyment) I used here...it was just perfect!

For my page I decided to use this very special picture from 1999. My oldest daughter was just 11 days old and we had gone to my Aunt Cindy's house for a Christmas celebration with my family. She took this shot of us right when we walked in. We were all SO tired, I was still swollen from my pregnancy and had on NO make-up, my hubby was wearing a crazy wrestling shirt...but none of that matters one bit. It's one of the first family pictures of us that we have and I absolutely adore it. I remember how happy we were to finally have that sweet baby girl in our lives and we were so in love with her! It was a very happy time in our lives and I'm thankful to finally have it in my scrapbooks...

So what do you think of the sketch? If you love and want to try using it yourself, we'd love to see what you create! Once you've got your project made, be sure to link it up at the Sketches In Thyme blog by the 31st to be entered for a fun prize. ;) Thanks so much for stopping by today!
