Some of my recent cards...

Good morning and Happy Halloween! I wanted to share a few of the recent cards I've made with you today...

This first one was made with the October kit from Artful Delight and is actually my very last DT project, which makes me SO sad! I've really loved being a part of Leeanne's DT for the past year and it will be a big change now that I won't be anymore. I still plan to play along with the sketch each month though and try my hand at winning a kit! ;)

Supplies Used From The Artful Delight October Kit: BoBunny Et Cetera Paper - Stamped; BoBunny Double Dot Cardstock - Coffee Stripe; Bazzill Clear Self-Adhesive Jewels; Flower
Other Supplies Used: Papertrey Ink Cardstock - Vintage Cream; Tim Holtz Ink - Walnut Stain; Ali Edwards Stamp Set - Sentimentally Ali; Fiskars Butterfly Punch

This next card was inspired by a challenge in my scrapbooking group Scrappin-N-Chattin, which was to include leaves on your card. It was simple for me since I had a gorgeous flower left over from my September AD kit and it already had the leaves attached! It worked perfectly. ;)

Supplies: Crate Paper Farmhouse Paper - Cupboard & Accent Cuts (From The AD September Kit); Crate Paper Emma's Shoppe Paper - Playhouse; Colorbox Chalk Ink - Chestnut Roan; Tim Holtz Distress Ink - Walnut Stain; Ali Edwards Stamp Set - Sentimentally Ali; Flower (Made by Leeanne - From The AD September Kit); Misc. Button

This last card was another challenge at Scrappin-N-Chattin and it wasn't as simple to do and was actually a bit of a challenge for me! I've made cards before with pockets on the inside but never one on the front. I just thought it over though and once the idea for this design came to me, I absolutely loved creating it! I think this is a great way to have the gift on the actual card and then have the inside for your message. I'm thinking these would rock for Christmas! :)

Supplies: BoBunny Gabrielle 6x6 Paper Pad; Colorbox Chalk Ink - Chestnut Roan; Craft Smart Ink - Chocolate Brown; Skipping Stones Designs Stamp; Martha Stewart Circle Cutter; Martha Stewart Butterfly Punches; I-Rock; I-Rock Clear Gems

Ok, that's it for today. I have a busy day ahead of me, which includes trick-or-treating with my munchkins! They are a vampire and princess this year...should make for some awesome pics together, right? LOL! Have an awesome day!

Blessings (Artful Delight)

Good morning!! I have a new layout to share with you that I created using the October kit from Artful Delight...

Supplies Used From The Artful Delight October Kit: Pink Paislee Nantucket Paper - Crab Cakes & Clam Chowder Other Supplies Used: Colorbox Chalk Ink - Chestnut Roan; Tim Holtz Distress Ink - Old Paper; Studio Calico Mister Huey - Calico White; Ali Edwards Stamp Set - Sentimentally Ali; Martha Stewart Butterfly Punch; I-Rock; I-Rock Clear Gems; I-Rock Stencil; Recollections Flowers
*Inspired by this sketch at Frosted Designs

This is the cover page for the album I made for my mother-in-law's birthday (I've mentioned it a couple of times before). She's coming into town today so I wanted to get it finished for her and I'm so happy with how it all turned out! There are 20 pages in all...the cover page layout, followed by 18 layouts (6 per family) of each of her 3 kids and their families, and the last page which is a layout of her with all of her grandkids (seen here). I really hope she loves it because it was so much fun making it for her. :)

If you haven't gotten an October kit yet, there's still time! Also, keep an eye on the Artful Delight blog because on Tuesday Leeanne will be revealing the November kit. I'm sure it will be fabulous and I can't wait to see it all!

P.S. I don't know if you've noticed lately but I'm a little obsessed with my I-Rock these days! This little tool is SO amazing. I was never really much of a bling person before getting mine but it completely changed my view on it all. I absolutely love how easy it is to add the jewels and I feel like it adds just the right touch to my project every time I use it. I really can't seem to make anything without it lately, lol! Oh and bonus, the other day I found some absolutely GORGEOUS Jolee's hotfix jewels at Michaels that work with my I-Rock and snatched some up. Love, love, love them! Just thought I'd throw that out there in case anyone's looking for a new tool to spoil themselves with. ;)

Prayer Journal (Artful Delight)

I've got a new project to share with you today that I created using the October kit from Artful Delight. I really adore how this turned out, especially that butterfly!

Supplies Used From The Artful Delight October Kit: BoBunny Et Cetera Paper - Stamped & Watermark; Felt Rolled Rose (Created by Leeanne)
Other Supplies Used: Papertrey Ink Cardstock - Vintage Cream (Inside); Colorbox Chalk Ink - Chestnut Roan; Tim Holtz Distress Ink - Walnut Stain; Adirondack Paint Dabber - Espresso; Ali Edwards Stamp Set - Sentimentally Ali;Papertrey Ink Stamp Sets - Journaling Lines (Inside) & Happy Trails; Fiskars Circle Punch; Fiskars Butterfly Punch; Martha Stewart Butterfly Punch; I-Rock; I-Rock Clear Gems; Jillibean Soup Corrugated Flower; Crop-A-Dile

I made this for my sweet friend Sandi's friend Marti who is battling Cancer right now. Sandi told me that Marti is a Christian so I thought a prayer journal would be just the thing for her! The inside pages are all stamped with journal lines and an Ali Edwards sentiment that says "thoughts and prayers" which I think is just perfect. I hope this small gift brings a smile to this special lady's day...

There are still a few October kits left so if you haven't had the chance to get one yet, you've still got time. :) Thanks for popping in today...your visit means so much!

Jakson (Artful Delight)

Good morning friends. :) I'd like to share a layout with you that I made using the October kit from Artful Delight and the sketch for this month, created by fellow DT member Debbie...

Supplies Used From The Artful Delight October Kit: BoBunny Et Cetera Paper - Stamped & Watermark; BoBunny Double Dot Cardstock - Coffee Stripe; BoBunny Et Cetera Combo Alpha Stickers
Other Supplies Used: Tim Holtz Distress Ink - Walnut Stain; Fiskars Star Punches; Making Memories Star Brad; DCWV Vellum Quote; Tim Holtz Edge Distresser; Tim Holtz Paperclip

Now I'm sure those of you who visit often are thinking, woah, that's a boy page! Yep, you're right and those don't show up here much do they? This is another layout for the album I'm doing for my mother-in-law and this is my hubby's sister's adorable little boy Jakson. He takes amazing pictures! I have to say though...it was SO weird doing a boy page, and I can't even tell you how hard it was not to use a butterfly, lol! You know me and those butterflies. ;)

Anyway, I'm really happy with how it turned out and I've got to stay in boy mode for a few more pages. Jakson has a cutie-pie brother Taylor who I need to do a layout of, and have a couple of them together to do also. It'll be fun!

If you haven't snatched up an October kit for yourself yet, I would definitely recommend doing it because the contents are super yummy! I'm sure you'd love it...

Altered Notebook (Artful Delight)

Good morning friends! It's time for me to share my first project of the month using the October kit from Artful Delight. I'm part of a Senior Buddy program where I'm paired up with an older, homebound lady and I send her cards each week and occasionally send her little goodies. I saw a cute notebook at Michaels a couple of weeks ago and knew it would be perfect to alter for her so I grabbed it up!

Supplies Used From The Artful Delight October Kit: Pink Paislee Nantucket Paper - Clam Bake; Melissa Frances Newstand Medium Frame Resin Embellishment; Felt Rolled Roses (Created by Leeanne)
Other Supplies Used: Papertrey Ink Vintage Cream Cardstock; Tim Holtz Ink - Walnut Stain; Colorbox Chalk Ink - Chestnut Roan; Adirondack Paint Dabber - Espresso; Papertrey Ink Stamp Set - Happy Trails; Martha Stewart Butterfly Punches; American Crafts Jewelry Box Thickers; Brown Washi Tape; Recollections Pearls; Recollections Mulberry Paper Rose Leaves (From the September AD Kit)

Is that great or what? I'm loving how it turned out and I can't wait to send it to her this week. I really hope it brightens her day every time she uses it. :)

So have you gotten an October kit for yourself yet? If not, what are you waiting for? It's totally packed with yumminess that you're sure to love so go for it!

Field Trip

Last week I saw a sketch over at Pretty Little Studio's blog and fell in love with it! The simple look of it really appealed to me and I wanted to make a layout with it asap, so last night, I pulled out some papers and got to work...

Supplies: Pink Paislee Hometown Summer Paper - Sunnyside Lane & Heatwave (Left over from my Artful Delight April Kit!); BoBunny Double Dot Cardstock - Chiffon; Tim Holtz Distress Ink - Walnut Stain; Fiskars Circle Punch; Fiskars Star Punch; EK Success Scallop Photo Corner Punch; American Crafts Thickers - Daiquiri; Jillibean Soup Corrugated Flower; Authentique Diction Word Stickers

Is that cute or what?? I had these pictures of a field trip Madison went on last year that I had already cut down for an earlier layout and then ended up not using them. Well they were just perfect for this sketch! Isn't it funny how things happen sometimes? ;)

Thanks for popping in today!! Have a great afternoon...

Other Supplies Used: Tim Holtz Distress Ink - Walnut Brown; Fiskars Circle Punches; Fiskars Butterfly Punch; Martha Stewart Butterfly Punch; Martha Stewart Heart Confetti Punch; Basic Grey Buttons

I veered away from the sketch just a little bit but I'm hoping you can see the general idea of it in my layout. I actually find that this happens to me alot of the time, but I'm completely fine with it because it shows you just how versatile sketches can be! Always remember that no matter what kind of sketch you start with, you can always put your own little spin on it and create something totally unique. ;)

--------------------

Now it's time for me to introduce you to a new Artful Delight Designer! I'm very pleased to have you meet Marlene...

"Hi, my name is Marlene. I’m 27 years old, have been married for 8 years and have two wonderful little boys. I fell in love with papercrafting when I was pregnant with my first son and saw all of the beautiful things that could be done - it's been 7 years since then! I love my Cricut Expression and Design Studio. I use them for almost EVERY project; together they have expanded my creativity level. Along with them, I love to use sketches, chipboard, inks, bling – stickles & pearls, my Signo White Pen, digital sentiments, and lots of layers on most of my creations. However, if I had to describe my crafting style, I'd say its Simple & Clean. Papercrafting has not only provided me with a creative outlet but also a way to find tranquilty and great satisfaction when I see my projects come to life. I enjoy sharing all my work with everyone thru my blog, Scrappin Cookie."

Pretty cool right? I can't wait to see what Marlene will do with the Artful Delight kits. :) She's your next stop on the hop, so be sure to visit her blog and leave her some love!!

--------------------

Oh and just one last thing before you go...to celebrate Leeanne's birthday even more, she's decided to have a little sale for all of you!! You can use either of these coupon codes to save some money this week...

Hands On (Artful Delight)

Before I get to today's post, I'd like to take a moment to remember those people who tragically lost their lives on 9/11/01. I can still remember that day so vividly, as I'm sure alot of us can, and it was such a sad day for our country. For anyone who lost a loved one or friend that day, may God bless you and give you comfort.

--------------------

Now I'd like to share a layout with you that I created using the September kit from Artful Delight. I am having so much fun with this kit!!

Supplies Used From The Artful Delight September Kit: Crate Paper Farmhouse Paper - Produce, Cross Stitch, Countryside & Homemade; Jillibean Soup Apple Cheddar Soup Paper - Sharp Cheddar Cheese
Other Supplies Used: Tim Holtz Distress Ink - Walnut Stain; Ali Edwards Stamp Set - Favorite Memories; Fiskars Triangle Punch; Fiskars Butterfly Punch; Martha Stewart Butterfly Punch; Doodlebug Jack & Jill Alphabet Stickers - Bonbon; Basic Grey Button

This is one of those rare times that I came up with the design all by myself. I almost always start creating with a sketch or by doing some scraplifting...it's just what seems to work best for me. This time though, I had an idea of doing the border of little banners and started there. I had no idea what other papers I'd use or what pics would work...it was crazy! It worked out great though, so maybe I should try this process more often. ;)

Have you picked up a kit for yourself yet? If not, I'd definitely recommend getting one quickly if you're planning to, before they sell out! The kit is packed of fabulous goodies and I promise you'll love it...

My Sweet Mom (Artful Delight)

It's a new month so it's time to share a layout I made using the August kit from Artful Delight with you! I absolutely LOVE the papers in this kit and couldn't wait to get creating with them. One of the sheets was perfect to scrap this picture of my sweet mom and I at my cousin's wedding last year...

Supplies Used From The Artful Delight August Kit: Authentique Journey "Promenade" Paper; Glitz Vintage Blue "Motif" Paper; Bazzill Cardstock - Carribean Breeze; Kraft Outlet Vintage Dictionary Page
Other Supplies Used: Colorbox Chalk Ink - Chestnut Roan; Craft Smart Ink - Chocolate Brown; Ali Edwards Stamp Set - Loving Words; Fiskars Butterfly Punch; Martha Stewart Butterfly Punch; I-Rock; I-Rock Clear Gems; Bazzill Flower; Prima Flower

Isn't that just SO pretty?? I love it!! One of my favorite parts is the center of the flower. I kept trying different buttons there and nothing looked right, so I pulled out my I-Rock and made my own center with some bling. It worked perfectly!

I took inspiration for my layout from the the August sketch at Artful Delight that fellow DT member Debbie created...

It's a great one! If you want to try your hand at creating something with the sketch, you'll be entered in the drawing to win the September kit for FREE! How awesome would that be? ;) You have until 8/23 to link up your project. Also, if you are totally loving this kit (like me!), make sure you grab one up quick because I'm thinking these will go fast...
