Grateful Journal & Some Exciting News!

Well good morning friends!! I have some super exciting news to share with you today and it is that I am back on the DT over at The Paper Variety for the rest of the current term! I couldn't be more happy about it. :) So, I have a new challenge to share with you today which is...

Supplies: Sassafras Lass Count Me In Paper - Multiply & Polka Polka; Colorbox Chalk Ink - Chestnut Roan; Craft Smart Ink - Choloate Brown; Papertrey Ink Stamp Set - Happy Trails; Ali Edwards Stamp Set - Family Is; Martha Stewart Butterfly Punches; I-Rock; Jolee's Hotfix Jewels; Crop-A-Dile

I knew as soon as I saw what the challenge was that I wanted to do something having to do with the word daughter. Having two of them made that very easy, lol! ;) I ended up creating this grateful journal which I'm planning to use to write letters in for both of them. I do that already when I journal on layouts, but I like the idea behind this because I don't have to worry about having a picture or story to go along with my words and I think it will be very freeing for me. I hope that my babies will love it one day!

What about you? Do you have a project in mind that will go along with this week's challenge? If you do and create and upload your project before next Tuesday the 15th at noon EST, you'll be entered to win this fabulous prize!!

You know you want that yumminess so go for it! ;) Also, be sure to stop by The Paper Variety's blog today and check out all of the DT creations for this challenge because everyone made some amazing things to share with you. Thanks for popping in today and sharing in my excitement!

Some cards to share...

Hi there! I've got a couple of cards to share with you today that I made to go along with The Paper Variety's birthday celebration. They had a bunch of different challenges that you could play along with to try your hand at winning a yummy prize and I just had to go for it!

This first card is for the "Favorite Company" challenge. My all-time favorite scrappy company is October Afternoon. I absolutely LOVE their papers and can't seem to stop buying them, and buying them, and buying them, lol! Oh well...I say that if you love something that much, you should try to keep extras on hand at all times, right? :)

This card is for the "Favorite Color" challenge. My favorite color lately is grey...any and all shades of it! I picked up this Bazzill cardstock a couple of months ago and then won some Sassafras Lass goodies recently. Included was this sheet of paper that had different shades of grey in it and one of them matched the cardstock perfectly! It was meant to be. :)

So that's it from me today. Hopefully I'll get some more scrappy time open in my schedule soon!

Big Idea Festival Mini

For the past 2 weeks I've been playing along with the Big Idea Festival at Big Picture Classes and it's been great! The way it worked this year was that there were 12 teachers who each picked a word that meant something special to them. They then each created a layout about that word and videotaped a message for all of us to watch and get inspired! It definitely worked for me because I made a mini album with all 12 words and had a ton of fun with it. :) I thought it over for a while before deciding what my album would be about but in the end it came down to a handful of my favorite pictures that each hold a special place in my heart...

Isn't it just fabulous?? I can't stop looking through it and neither can my girls, which is pretty cool in my book. ;) I can see more albums like this one in my future for sure...

Thank you for letting me share my album with you...I hope you like it. :) Thanks for stopping by today!

Be You (EDLC Day #11)

Another day finished! Today's another busy day for me so I got working on my page first thing. It's another 8x8 page for today too. I'm really loving this size, although there isn't really room for alot of journaling. In albums for other people, that's ok, but for me, I'm not so sure it would work. I'll have to think about it some more. ;)

Supplies: Sassafrass lass Paper Pad - Hog Heaven; K&Company Paper Pad - Roam; Fiskars Flower Punch; Martha Stewart Scallop Circle Punch; Colorbox Chalk Ink - Chestnut Roan

Only 3 days to go in the challenge! Very exciting. :)

Got PB&J? (EDLC Day #4)

I just finished day #4 of my EDLC and I am so loving this page! Madison adores pb&j. She could eat it 3 times a day/7 days a week and not get tired of it. Her favorite thing to do is take the sandwich apart and dip her fingers in the peanut butter and then lick it off. This of course is NOT a favorite part of mine, since it's usually pretty messy, but she's too cute to make her stop, lol. :)

Supplies: Sassafras Lass Paper Pad - Hog Heaven; Basic Grey Chipboard Letters - Hip; Fiskars Heart Squeeze Punch (That's Amore & Funky Love); Making Memories Sanding Block

See? You couldn't make a face like that stop either could you? ;) See you tomorrow for day #5!

Finally!

I got my scrapping mojo back today! ;) I haven't done a layout since the 5th, ugh. That's not normal for me and I was definitely having withdrawls. I just couldn't seem to do anything about it though. Every time I'd pull out a picture or some papers to get started, I'd get total scrapper's block. NOT a fun feeling at all. Thankfully today though, when I pulled out this picture, I instantly knew what papers I wanted to use for it and I LOVE how it turned out!

Supplies: Sassafras Lass Paper Pad - Hog Heaven; Tim Holtz Distress Ink - Brushed Corduroy; Tim Holtz Edge Distresser; Basic Grey Alphabet Letters; Making Memories Tiny Alpha Stickers - Chloe's Closet; Ali Edwards Handwriting Font

My sweet Madison sharing some kisses with her daddy. They are TOO adorable, aren't they? ;) Thanks for looking. I hope to have some more to share soon...
