EDLC Day #5

It's Saturday...and I'm all ALONE! I still can't believe it, lol. Mark is at work and my sister Maryann came and got both girls to take them swimming. How cool is that? It's such a weird feeling! I guess I should get used to it with Madison starting Kindergarten next year though. ;) So anyway, here's my layout for today. I scrapped about my honey...

Supplies: My Mind's Eye Paper - Breaking Free; Fancy Pants Paper - The Daily Grind; Craft Smart Ink - Chocolate Brown; Slice; Slice Fonts Design Card; EK Success Border Punch - Diamond Lace; Fiskars Heart Punches; Bazzill Jewel Template - Borders; Recollections Pearls
*Inspired by
Creative Scrappers Sketch #98

Are we cute or what?!? ;) I definitely need to scrap more pictures of us together. Such important memories...

Well, I hope everyone enjoys their Saturday! I'm headed out to lunch with my other sis Amy in a little while...with no kiddos. :) We don't get many chances to hang together without them along so it's AWESOME. See you tomorrow!

It's time for another EDLC!!

My scrapbooking group, Scrappin-N-Chattin, has decided to have another every-day-layout-challenge like we did back in February. The difference this time though is that it's for 30 days instead of 15! I've decided to join in because I need a boost for my mojo, and it already seems to be working great for me. ;) Here's my layout for day #1...

Supplies: BoBunny Paper - Love Bandit; Heidi Swapp "Love" Stamp; Studio G Alphabet Stamps - Series 3; Colorbox Chalk Ink - Chestnut Roan; Craft Smart Ink - Chocolate Brown; Slice; Slice Basic Shapes 1 Design Card; Slice Basic Shapes 2 Design Card; Basic Grey Button
*Inspired by a sketch on the Creative Scrappers blog on 4/13/10

I sooooooooo love these pictures! My friend Amanda took them when we were over at her house for dinner one night. Since I'm always the one holding the camera, I don't get many shots of myself with the girls, especially special ones like these. I will always treasure them...

For the EDLC this month, our hostess Mel has encouraged us to use sketches for inspiration, and I think it's an awesome idea! I hope you'll find some inspiration from the ones I use. Wish me luck on making it the entire 30 days! ;)

My sweet girl...

I finally had the chance to do some scrapping today and wow have I missed it! My Scrappin-n-Chattin group is having another 24 hour challenge this weekend and as the hostess, I figured I should participate. ;) The ladies in the group chose the sketch and papers I would work with. Another wall hanging...

I did another wall hanging today, using the same awesome Scripture I used on the one I made the other day...

Supplies: K&Company Paper Pad - Classic Charlotte & Life's Journey; Craft Smart Ink - Chocolate Brown; Fiskars Scallop Border Punch; Slice; Slice Basic Shapes 2 Design Card; Autumn Leaves Clear Buttons; Ranger Ink Glossy Accents; Twine; Crop-A-Dile

This one is much simpler than the other one, but I really like how it looks. Plus I got to have some fun making my own flower. ;) I found a great tip online that said to use the handle of a skinny paintbrush to curl the ends of your die-cut flowers up to give them some shape. So after cutting a couple out with my Slice and inking the edges, I tried it out and and it worked great! Thanks so much for looking...

Moments (NSD Layout)

Over at scrapbook.com, they're having a HUGE National Scrapbooking Day celebration! There are $10,000 worth of prizes being handed out. Totally cool. ;) One of the challenges is an all day challenge to create a layout about why you scrapbook. Well, of course the first thing that popped into my head when I read that question was my sweet girls. So what else would I make my page about?? ;)

I looooooooove how it turned out...most of all the journaling. It truly says why I do this and I'm happy I've got it down on paper for my sweeties to one day read. :)

I hope you're all having an awesome day...thanks so much for stopping by!

Some new cards!

Sorry I've been MIA this week. My bestest friend Cathy (and sister-in law) is here visiting with my nephew and 3 nieces. It's been so awesome! The kids have all had such a great time hanging out together and Cathy and I have actually gotten to sit down and chat. This is huge for us since we live 8 hours from one another and usually chat by texting. :)

Anyway, Cathy asked me to make some thank you cards for her to give out to some people at church. I worked like a crazy woman to get them done quickly so she could take them home with her today and I think they turned out great! She seemed to really like them all too...
