Sketches In Thyme #94

Good morning everyone!  I hope you all had an amazing Thanksgiving with your friends and families. :) I have a new sketch from Sketches In Thyme to share with you today!  It's another awesome two pager...

Supplies: October Afternoon Woodland Park Collection - Bunny Tail Trail, Huckleberry Hill, Old Mill Bridges; Tim Holtz Distress Ink - Walnut Stain; Studio Calico Mister Huey - Clay, Taxi, Heirloom Blue; Heidi Swapp Roller Date Stamp; EK Success Embossed Curve Border Punch; Fiskars Circle Punches; My Mind's Eye The Sweetest Things Brads; AC/Dear Lizzy Berry Thickers; sf Eleanor Font

Isn't it great??  I really love two page sketches because since I mostly do one pagers, it's like I get two sketches in one!  I used the right side of this sketch as inspiration for my page and I really like how it turned out.  This is a very special picture of my mother-in-law Arlene, with her dearest friend Polly.  Polly recently passed away and it was very hard on Arlene, so I wanted to do something to help her remember the happy times they had together.  I'm planning on framing it as a Christmas gift for her and I hope she loves it.

So, what are your thoughts on the sketch?  If you're inspired and create something with it, make sure you link it up at the Sketches In Thyme blog by the 30th and you'll be entered to win a yummy prize!  Plus all the DT gals will come and leave you some love. ;) Thanks for stopping by today!!

MMD Sketch #23

Hello! Today I'm sharing the newest sketch from Miracles Momma Designs with you. This one is so unique and FUN!

Supplies: October Afternoon Daydream Collection - Garden Chain, Rain Boots, Paper Lanterns; Tim Holtz Distress Ink - Walnut Stain; Studio Calico Mister Huey - Classic Calico, Piglet; Fiskars Round & Round Circle Punch; Martha Stewart 3-in-1 Classic Butterfly Punch; Martha Stewart Large Circle Cutter; My Mind's Eye Nostalgia Brads; Echo Park A Walk In The Park Alphabet Stickers

This picture is so precious. When my girls were little, they would sleep with us all the time, and we always loved having them there to snuggle with us. Every now and then, I'd wake up first and be able to capture a moment like this one. There's absolutely nothing like seeing this so many years later. It brings that time back so easily, and I love that...

As you can see, I decided to go with scallops instead of points for my layout, which shows you just how versatile sketches can be! Always remember that sketches are just a starting point...they can turn into whatever YOU want them to. ;) Please take a minute to visit Heather's blog to see what the other DT gals did with this one...you'll love it!

Back again!

As I promised in my earlier post today, I'm back to share my latest layout with you all! The sun wasn't really cooperating all that well with me when taking the pictures, so they're a little bit dark but still turned out pretty good I think...

Supplies: October Afternoon Farmhouse Paper - Guest Room, Clothesline, Church Social; October Afternoon Sidewalks Paper - Jump Rope; Tim Holtz Distress Ink - Pumice Stone; Fiskars Flit On By Punch; Martha Stewart Large Circle Cutter; American Crafts Thickers - Giggles; October Afternoon Mini Market Alpha Stickers - Gray & Cream; BoBunny Button; October Afternoon Button; Basic Grey Button

I'm adoring this page! The picture is of my younger sister and myself at Myrtle Beach, SC back in 1990. Crazy! She really loves the photo so I decided to scrap it for her. Once I frame it, I'll give it to her and I already know she'll love it! She's one of those people who gets super excited when I make her something, which makes me want to make more things for her. Hmmmm, maybe that's her plan? LOL! All you crafters know how good that feels, so I know you understand. ;)

So there you go! Thank you for stopping by...again...today! I hope to scrap tonight since the hubby is planning on gaming, so hopefully I'll be back soon with more to share.

Tweetsie

Hello there! I have a layout to share with you today that I am SO loving. :) It was inspired by this sketch (created by my friend Abby) which is perfect for alot of photos...

Supplies: October Afternoon Paper - Thrift Shop (Near Mint, Last One, Great Find, Still In Box, One-Of-A-Kind), 5 & Dime (Wax Bottles, Jawbreakers), Fly A Kite (Sprinklers), Campfire (Animal Tracks); Tim Holtz Distress Inks - Walnut Stain, Scattered Straw; Date Stamp; Fiskars Flit On By Butterfly Punch; Fiskars Twinkle Twinkle Star Punches; Martha Stewart Royal Butterfly Punch; EK Success Double Heart Punch; Doodlebug Loopy Lou Alphabet Stickers - Beetle Black; Making Memories Buttons; Basic Grey Brad; Computer Font - sf Dana

Isn't it fabulous!?! I did a layout very similar to this one last year with some Easter pictures and was really happy with being able to fit so many pictures on the page without them crowding each other. When I had these pictures developed, I printed them smaller hoping I'd be able to do something along the same lines, and Abby's sketch worked out to be great for it! This is definitely one of my recent favs. ;)

Thanks for stopping by for a visit today! I'm still working on those projects I posted about last week, but hopefully I'll have something to share with you soon...

I've been creating! :)

Hi friends!! I've been creating and I have a couple of things to share with you today, the first being this adorable layout I made yesterday about my girls. My amazing hubby got me a waterproof camera this past Summer that you can take underwater with you and we had SO much fun playing with it! The pictures turned out so clearly and I absolutely loved having this different kind of pool shot to scrap...

Supplies: Fancy Pants Beach Babe Paper - Fish Farm, Tropical, Jumping Fish; Fancy Pants Celebrate Paper - Confetti; Colorbox Chalk Ink - Rose Coral; Studio Calico Mister Huey - Calico White; Ali Edwards Stamp Set - This One; Martha Stewart Heart Confetti Punch; Fiskars Flit On By Punch; Fiskars Nice Tri Punch; Basic Grey Buttons; Tim Holtz Edge Distresser; SF Natalie Computer Font

Isn't that awesome?? The girls got super excited when they saw all the pictures of themselves under the water so I knew I had to scrap some. Plus they're just fabulous!! ;)

----------

I also made this really cute set of mini cards this morning. There are a couple of challenges happening right now that I wanted to play along with (listed below) and this is what I came up with for all of them together...

Supplies: Fancy Pants The Daily Grind Paper - Break Time; October Afternoon Thrift Shop Paper - Near Mint; Papertrey Ink White Cardstock; Colorbox Chalk Ink - Blackbird; Ali Edwards Stamp Set - Sentimentally Ali; Fiskars Flit On By Punch

Don't you just love them?? They're 3 3/4 by 3 3/4. I have some 4x4 envelopes that'll work perfectly for them and even though they're too small to mail, they are perfect little cards to hand out and let somebody know how thankful I am for them. I'm sure I'll use them up quickly. ;)

Thanks for stopping by today...I really appreciate it!

Just Precious

Check this out people...I'm doing another non-morning post! What is this world coming too anyway, lol? ;) I've been scrapping today and finally got a layout done for the sketch challenge over at The Paper Bakery. It's their very first sketch and when I saw it, I knew I wanted to play along and since it's due tonight I had to get my booty in gear!

Supplies: October Afternoon Thrift Shop Paper - Great Find, Near Mint & One-Of-A-Kind; Tim Holtz Distress Ink - Scattered Straw; Fiskars Upper Crest Border Punch; Fiskars Heart Punch; Fiskars Butterfly Punch; Martha Stewart Heart Confetti Punch; American Crafts Lullaby Thickers - Charcoal; Basic Grey Buttons
* I apologize if the pictures are dark or if the colors are a little off...the sun has already gone down so they're the best I can do for now!

This is actually my third attempt at the sketch this week, lol. Do you ever do that? I knew what pictures I wanted to use right away because I had these from our beach vacation last Summer and looooooove them, and there are just the right number for the sketch so it was perfect! The papers though? Not easy to decide on at ALL. It just took me a little while to find the right ones I guess, although I should have known to pull out my October Afternoon all along! You can never go wrong with some October Afternoon friends, believe me. ;)

Thanks for stopping by! Have a great night...

A few card sets to share...

Good morning!! I made another card set using some more of my scraps the other day so I wanted to share it with you...

Supplies: October Afternoon Paper - Report Card; Papertrey Ink Cardstock - Kraft; Tim Holtz Dustress Ink - Walnut Stain; Studio G Stamp; Fiskars Star Punch; Tim Holtz Tiny Attacher; We R Memory Keepers Corner Chomper; Misc. Buttons

I had some super cute little 4x4 envelopes so I made these to fit them and realized that I looooove this size! It's the perfect little card to jot a quick note down or include in a gift. I think I might make up some more of these to hand out as teacher gifts at Christmas time. :)

Speaking of Christmas, I also made up a couple more sets of Christmas cards and I think they're great!

Supplies: Little Yellow Bicycle Paper - Christmas Delight; Papertrey Ink Cardstock - Vintage Cream; Colorbox Chalk Ink - Chestnut Roan; Tim Holtz Distress Ink - Antique Linen; Studio Calico/Hero Arts Stamp - Alphabet Background; Hero Arts Merry Christmas Stamp; Fiskars Star Punches; Martha Stewart Heart Confetti Punch; Tim Holtz Tissue Tape

Supplies: Basic Grey Paper; Papertrey Ink Cardstock - Kraft; Colorbox Chalk Ink - Chestnut Roan; Tim Holtz Distress Ink - Antique Linen; Hero Arts Stamp - Cling Dots; Hero Arts Merry Christmas Stamp; Fiskars Upper Crest Border Punch; Fiskars Star Punches; Misc. Buttons

I love how quick and easy it is to put these together! Very easy to duplicate which is fabulous if you're making a bunch.

So that's it for today, but thanks for stopping by to see me! I hope to do some creating this weekend so maybe I'll have some new things to share really soon. ;)

Some cards to share...

Hi there! I've got a couple of cards to share with you today that I made to go along with The Paper Variety's birthday celebration. They had a bunch of different challenges that you could play along with to try your hand at winning a yummy prize and I just had to go for it!

This first card is for the "Favorite Company" challenge. My all-time favorite scrappy company is October Afternoon. I absolutely LOVE their papers and can't seem to stop buying them, and buying them, and buying them, lol! Oh well...I say that if you love something that much, you should try to keep extras on hand at all times, right? :)

This card is for the "Favorite Color" challenge. My favorite color lately is grey...any and all shades of it! I picked up this Bazzill cardstock a couple of months ago and then won some Sassafras Lass goodies recently. Included was this sheet of paper that had different shades of grey in it and one of them matched the cardstock perfectly! It was meant to be. :)

So that's it from me today. Hopefully I'll get some more scrappy time open in my schedule soon!

How great is that?? This time of year, it's so fun to pull out those Summer pics and get scrapping. For me, as soon as I saw that the challenge for this week was to make a Summer themed project, I rememberd this picture my hubby took of me at the beach that I've been wanting to scrap and pulled it out. The page just came together so easily after that! That's two layouts this week, so I'm happy to say that I think my layout mojo has definitely returned. I know I missed it like crazy and I hope it's here to stay. ;)

So what Summer project do you have in mind that you've been wanting to do? This is your perfect chance to get it done! If you create your project and link it up at the TPV blog by next Tuesday at noon EST, you'll have a chance to win this fabulous prize, sponsored by Inspired To Scrap...

Your choice of ANY available past kit PLUS free class!

What an awesome prize!! I can't wait to see what you all create. :) By the way, I'm sad to say that this is my last DT project for TPV. It's been an AMAZING year being a part of this group of ladies and I will really miss them all. I hope to still play along in some challenges though and I'm excited to see what the new team will do. Remember Mini (Artful Delight)

Hello friends! I have a mini album to share with you today that I made using the Artful Delight April kit...

Supplies Used from The Artful Delight April Kit: October Afternoon "Modern Homemaker" Paper - Clothespins & Cherry Pie; Maya Road Chipboard Frame
Other Supplies Used: Colorbox Chalk Ink - chestnut Roan; Craft Smart Ink - Chocolate Brown; Ali Edwards Stamp Set - Favorite Memories; Papertry Ink Stamp Set - Journaling Lines; Studio Calico Date Stamp; Marth Stewart Butterfly Punches; Crop-A-Dile; Button

I love how cute it turned out to be! My mother-in-law is staying with us right now and she inspired the idea of this mini. She's constantly writing things down...quotes, Bible verses, notes, recipes, etc...and I thought it would be really good for her to have one place to put them all together. And I was right because she LOVES it! I even kept one of the pages so that I can recreate them for her at any time. ;)

So, if you haven't had the chance to get an April kit for yourself yet and you want to, make sure you act fast because there are only a few left. I promise you'll be SO happy with everything in it if you get one. :)

Just a note: I receive the Artful Delight monthly kit for free because I'm a DT member, but please be assured that my opinions are my own! Anything I say about these kits is how I truly feel. ;)
