A card share...

Wow it has been a really LONG time since I've shared a card with you on here! I just haven't had ANY mojo for cards lately though, ugh. Luckily for me, there's a great card sketch over at Artful Delight this month that inspired me!

Supplies: Crate Paper Paper Heart Collection - Define, Cupid, Delicate, Love Letter; Tim Holtz Distress Ink - Walnut Stain; Ali Edwards Stamp Set - Loving Words; EK Success PSN L Butterfly Punch; Stampin' Up! Heart-to-Heart Punch; We R Memory Keepers Corner Chomper

I created a DT layout yesterday (which goes live on the 30th!) and when I was done I made some super cute embellishments with all of the tiny leftover scraps...

It only took me about 15 minutes to make these 10 embellishments and now I can just pop one on a project at any time. It rocks! I'm planning on doing this from now on because it saves me time plus uses up my scraps (which is always a good thing because I have WAY too many). ;) What do you do with your scraps?? I'd love any tips or tricks to use up some more of mine so feel free to share!

I've been creating! :)

Hi friends!! I've been creating and I have a couple of things to share with you today, the first being this adorable layout I made yesterday about my girls. My amazing hubby got me a waterproof camera this past Summer that you can take underwater with you and we had SO much fun playing with it! The pictures turned out so clearly and I absolutely loved having this different kind of pool shot to scrap...

Supplies: Fancy Pants Beach Babe Paper - Fish Farm, Tropical, Jumping Fish; Fancy Pants Celebrate Paper - Confetti; Colorbox Chalk Ink - Rose Coral; Studio Calico Mister Huey - Calico White; Ali Edwards Stamp Set - This One; Martha Stewart Heart Confetti Punch; Fiskars Flit On By Punch; Fiskars Nice Tri Punch; Basic Grey Buttons; Tim Holtz Edge Distresser; SF Natalie Computer Font

Isn't that awesome?? The girls got super excited when they saw all the pictures of themselves under the water so I knew I had to scrap some. Plus they're just fabulous!! ;)

----------

I also made this really cute set of mini cards this morning. There are a couple of challenges happening right now that I wanted to play along with (listed below) and this is what I came up with for all of them together...

Supplies: Fancy Pants The Daily Grind Paper - Break Time; October Afternoon Thrift Shop Paper - Near Mint; Papertrey Ink White Cardstock; Colorbox Chalk Ink - Blackbird; Ali Edwards Stamp Set - Sentimentally Ali; Fiskars Flit On By Punch

Don't you just love them?? They're 3 3/4 by 3 3/4. I have some 4x4 envelopes that'll work perfectly for them and even though they're too small to mail, they are perfect little cards to hand out and let somebody know how thankful I am for them. I'm sure I'll use them up quickly. ;)

Thanks for stopping by today...I really appreciate it!

Some of my recent cards...

Good morning and Happy Halloween! I wanted to share a few of the recent cards I've made with you today...

This first one was made with the October kit from Artful Delight and is actually my very last DT project, which makes me SO sad! I've really loved being a part of Leeanne's DT for the past year and it will be a big change now that I won't be anymore. I still plan to play along with the sketch each month though and try my hand at winning a kit! ;)

Supplies Used From The Artful Delight October Kit: BoBunny Et Cetera Paper - Stamped; BoBunny Double Dot Cardstock - Coffee Stripe; Bazzill Clear Self-Adhesive Jewels; Flower
Other Supplies Used: Papertrey Ink Cardstock - Vintage Cream; Tim Holtz Ink - Walnut Stain; Ali Edwards Stamp Set - Sentimentally Ali; Fiskars Butterfly Punch

This next card was inspired by a challenge in my scrapbooking group Scrappin-N-Chattin, which was to include leaves on your card. It was simple for me since I had a gorgeous flower left over from my September AD kit and it already had the leaves attached! It worked perfectly. ;)

Supplies: Crate Paper Farmhouse Paper - Cupboard & Accent Cuts (From The AD September Kit); Crate Paper Emma's Shoppe Paper - Playhouse; Colorbox Chalk Ink - Chestnut Roan; Tim Holtz Distress Ink - Walnut Stain; Ali Edwards Stamp Set - Sentimentally Ali; Flower (Made by Leeanne - From The AD September Kit); Misc. Button

This last card was another challenge at Scrappin-N-Chattin and it wasn't as simple to do and was actually a bit of a challenge for me! I've made cards before with pockets on the inside but never one on the front. I just thought it over though and once the idea for this design came to me, I absolutely loved creating it! I think this is a great way to have the gift on the actual card and then have the inside for your message. I'm thinking these would rock for Christmas! :)

Supplies: BoBunny Gabrielle 6x6 Paper Pad; Colorbox Chalk Ink - Chestnut Roan; Craft Smart Ink - Chocolate Brown; Skipping Stones Designs Stamp; Martha Stewart Circle Cutter; Martha Stewart Butterfly Punches; I-Rock; I-Rock Clear Gems

Ok, that's it for today. I have a busy day ahead of me, which includes trick-or-treating with my munchkins! They are a vampire and princess this year...should make for some awesome pics together, right? LOL! Have an awesome day!

A few card sets to share...

Good morning!! I made another card set using some more of my scraps the other day so I wanted to share it with you...

Supplies: October Afternoon Paper - Report Card; Papertrey Ink Cardstock - Kraft; Tim Holtz Dustress Ink - Walnut Stain; Studio G Stamp; Fiskars Star Punch; Tim Holtz Tiny Attacher; We R Memory Keepers Corner Chomper; Misc. Buttons

I had some super cute little 4x4 envelopes so I made these to fit them and realized that I looooove this size! It's the perfect little card to jot a quick note down or include in a gift. I think I might make up some more of these to hand out as teacher gifts at Christmas time. :)

Speaking of Christmas, I also made up a couple more sets of Christmas cards and I think they're great!

Supplies: Little Yellow Bicycle Paper - Christmas Delight; Papertrey Ink Cardstock - Vintage Cream; Colorbox Chalk Ink - Chestnut Roan; Tim Holtz Distress Ink - Antique Linen; Studio Calico/Hero Arts Stamp - Alphabet Background; Hero Arts Merry Christmas Stamp; Fiskars Star Punches; Martha Stewart Heart Confetti Punch; Tim Holtz Tissue Tape

Supplies: Basic Grey Paper; Papertrey Ink Cardstock - Kraft; Colorbox Chalk Ink - Chestnut Roan; Tim Holtz Distress Ink - Antique Linen; Hero Arts Stamp - Cling Dots; Hero Arts Merry Christmas Stamp; Fiskars Upper Crest Border Punch; Fiskars Star Punches; Misc. Buttons

I love how quick and easy it is to put these together! Very easy to duplicate which is fabulous if you're making a bunch.

So that's it for today, but thanks for stopping by to see me! I hope to do some creating this weekend so maybe I'll have some new things to share really soon. ;)

Sassy Lil' Sketches 10/5 Reveal!

It's time for another Sassy Lil' Sketches reveal! First I'll share my card with you...

Supplies: Cosmo Cricket Upcycle 6x6 Paper Pad; Basic Grey Cardstock; Colorbox Chalk Ink - Chestnut Roan; Craft Smart Ink - Chocolate Brown; Studio G Stamp; Fiskars Circle Punches; Recollections Pearls; Making Memories Button

And now I have a little bit of bad news. Katie and Cherie, the ladies who started Sassy Lil' Sketches, have decided to close it down. :( Here's what they posted on the blog...

"With much sadness in our hearts, we have made the difficult decision to close down Sassy Lil' Sketches. Sassy Lil' Sketches has been such a big part of our lives for almost three years. We are very thankful for the wonderful designers who have graced us with their talent & we are very thankful for all of our followers who faithfully participate. Without you we could not have been successful in this fun endeavor!"

I've only been on the DT for a little while and I've really enjoyed it so I'll miss it for sure. I have to say I totally understand why they've made this decision though, because family and personal lives should always come first! I wish both of them happiness in whatever comes next for them...
You'll still be able to join in some challenges during this month though, so no worries! ;) Layout and card sketches will be posted on the Sassy Lil' Sketches blog every day through the 9th (they started the 2nd), and if you use any of them and link up your project by the 23rd, you'll be in a drawing for a Sassy Lil' Sketches Ebook! Fun prize right? :) Good luck if you decide to play along! I'll have one last reveal for you on Sunday so make sure you come check it out...

Some stamps to share...

I found two more amazing Hero Arts stamps at Michaels recently that I just have to share with you. The first one is really awesome! It totally reminds me of days past and I can see sooooo many uses for it...

Supplies: Papertrey Ink Kraft Cardstock; Tim Holtz Distress Ink - Walnut Stain; Hero Arts Stamp - ; Misc. Ali Edwards Stamps

It's totally fabulous right?? I kept these cards really simple to show off the stamp and love how they look! I can't wait to try this stamp out on some layouts and backgrounds. ;)

Ok, this second stamp really jumped out at me because my mother-in-law just looooooves Peacocks, and when I saw this stamp, I instantly knew she'd love it! I made her a set of cards like this one with it...

Supplies: Papertrey Ink Vintage Cream Cardstock; Tim Holtz Distress Ink - Broken China; Hero Arts Stamp - Peacock; Misc. Ali Edwards Stamp Sets; I-Rock; I-Rock Clear Gems

And guess what? I was right...she LOVED them!! Don't you just love it when such a little thing can make someone else so happy? Some cards to share...

Hi there! I've got a couple of cards to share with you today that I made to go along with The Paper Variety's birthday celebration. They had a bunch of different challenges that you could play along with to try your hand at winning a yummy prize and I just had to go for it!

This first card is for the "Favorite Company" challenge. My all-time favorite scrappy company is October Afternoon. I absolutely LOVE their papers and can't seem to stop buying them, and buying them, and buying them, lol! Oh well...I say that if you love something that much, you should try to keep extras on hand at all times, right? :)

This card is for the "Favorite Color" challenge. My favorite color lately is grey...any and all shades of it! I picked up this Bazzill cardstock a couple of months ago and then won some Sassafras Lass goodies recently. Included was this sheet of paper that had different shades of grey in it and one of them matched the cardstock perfectly! It was meant to be. :)

So that's it from me today. Hopefully I'll get some more scrappy time open in my schedule soon!

Sassy Lil' Sketches 8/25 Reveal!

It's time for another reveal at Sassy Lil' Sketches! I really liked this sketch as soon as I saw it...

Supplies: BoBunny Gabrielle 6x6 Paper Pad; Colorbox Chalk Ink - Chestnut Roan; Craft Smart Ink - Chocolate Brown; Ali Edwards Stamp Set - Sentimentally Ali; Fiskars Circle Punch; Fiskars Butterfly Punch; Martha Stewart Butterfly Punch; Martha Stewart Circle Cutter; I-Rock

I absolutely LOVE how my card turned out! It took a little bit of extra time because to make the scalloped circle, I actually used a circle punch to punch a bunch of smaller circles and attached them to the back of the bigger one. It gives a fabulous effect so it's totally worth the effort. ;)

Just a reminder that the card sponsor for the month of August is My Favorite Things Stamps, so if you want a chance at winning a fabulous prize from them, go get creating! You have until 9/5 to enter your card from any of the card sketches in August. Remember to link your card at the correct sketch reveal for it to count! The link for this week's sketch is here. Thanks for stopping by today!
