The Paper Variety Challenge #5!!

Good morning! It's time for another challenge over at The Paper Variety! This week we have a sketch to inspire you, and I had so much fun working with it...

Supplies: K&Company Paper Pad - Blossomwood by Tim Coffey; Verve Stamp; Colorbox Chalk Ink - Chestnut Roan; Craft Smart Ink - Chocolate Brown; Martha Stewart Scallop Circle Punch; Martha Stewart Butterfly Punch; Recollections Pearls

Very versatile don't you think?? ;) We'd love to see you play along and create a project of your own using the sketch. Remember, even though this looks like a card sketch, your project doesn't have to be a card at all...it can be anything you can think of! Plus, if you complete your project and link it up by next Tuesday at 12 EST, you'll have a chance to win this great prize, sponsored by Lawn Fawn...

How cute is that?? :) So go get creating! Oh, and make sure you take a minute to pop over to TPV's blog and check out all of DT member's projects for some great inspiration. Everyone did an amazing job. :) Have a great day!!

Another 24 Hour Challenge...

The June 24 hour challenge for my Scrappin-n-Chattin group started last night. The members all voted on what I should use and they picked perfectly!! I actually cut these pictures down a couple of months ago but ended up not using them then, and haven't found a good way to scrap them since. The sketch that was chosen for me to use in the challenge worked perfectly! I really love how it turned out...

Supplies: K&Company Paper - Classic Charlotte; Craft Smart Ink - Chocolate Brown; Doodlebug Candy Shoppe Alphabet Stickers - Bon Bon; Prima Flower; Making Memories Button; Twine; Sanding Block
*Inspired by a Julie Bonner Sketch From 2/1/10

If you're looking for a great group of scrappy friends and like participating in challenges for yummy prizes, please come on over and join us! We're a fun CHATTY group of ladies and a ton of fun to hang out with. ;)

Another wall hanging...

I did another wall hanging today, using the same awesome Scripture I used on the one I made the other day...

Supplies: K&Company Paper Pad - Classic Charlotte & Life's Journey; Craft Smart Ink - Chocolate Brown; Fiskars Scallop Border Punch; Slice; Slice Basic Shapes 2 Design Card; Autumn Leaves Clear Buttons; Ranger Ink Glossy Accents; Twine; Crop-A-Dile

This one is much simpler than the other one, but I really like how it looks. Plus I got to have some fun making my own flower. ;) I found a great tip online that said to use the handle of a skinny paintbrush to curl the ends of your die-cut flowers up to give them some shape. So after cutting a couple out with my Slice and inking the edges, I tried it out and and it worked great! Thanks so much for looking...

Family (EDLC Day #14)

Here is day #14! I am SO glad that I was able to do the entire challenge. It was really amazing to get 14 layouts done in 2 weeks. Hard some days, but definitely worth it. ;)

Supplies: K&Company Paper Pad - Life's Journey; Martha Stewart Butterfly Punch; Recollections Pearls; DMC Floss; Fiskars Scallop Border Punch; Making Memories Sanding Block; Colorbox Chalk Ink - Chestnut Roan; Heidi Swapp "Family" Stamp

Our scrapping group is planning on doing another challenge like this in the summer, but that one will be for 30 days! I'll have to think about whether I can do it or not. I think I could, but we'll see how things are going then. :)

Thanks for checking out all of my EDLC pages...it's been great! Next week I plan to work on cards, so I should have some new ones to share soon. Have an awesome day!!

Love (EDLC Day #12)

For day #12 of the EDLC, I decided to do another 8x8 page, and this time, it's my honey and me. I don't scrap pictures of the two of us enough, and that's something I definitely need to change. I love this man with my entire being. He is the most thoughtful, sweet, amazing husband a girl could ask for, and on top of that, the best daddy in the world. :)
I want to make sure that while I'm scrapping the pictures of our beautiful girls and our wonderful little family, that I also remember to scrap our love story. It needs to be told...

Supplies: K&Company Paper Pad - Classic; Heidi Swapp "Love" Stamp; Making Memories Tiny Alphas - Brown Ledger; Colorbox Chalk Ink - Chestnut Roan

So I'm planning on scrapping this picture again sometime soon for us (as soon as I can get another copy), with a whole bunch of lovey, dovey, mushy journaling. That's what a love story should be about right? ;) Thanks for looking...and listening to me gush about my sweetie.

Be You (EDLC Day #11)

Another day finished! Today's another busy day for me so I got working on my page first thing. It's another 8x8 page for today too. I'm really loving this size, although there isn't really room for alot of journaling. In albums for other people, that's ok, but for me, I'm not so sure it would work. I'll have to think about it some more. ;)

Supplies: Sassafrass lass Paper Pad - Hog Heaven; K&Company Paper Pad - Roam; Fiskars Flower Punch; Martha Stewart Scallop Circle Punch; Colorbox Chalk Ink - Chestnut Roan

Only 3 days to go in the challenge! Very exciting. :)

Remember (EDLC Day #8)

Here's another page that I finished yesterday, but not in time for a good picture. This is why I usually scrap during the day...I like to take my pictures right when I'm done and get them posted. Anyway, this is another 8x8 page and I kept it simple and sweet, like my girls. :)

Supplies: Basic Grey Paper - Delightful; K&Company Paper Pad - Classic; Making Memories Paper - FabricBrocade Greenhouse Paperie; Prima Flower; American Crafts Button, Lasting Impressions Scrappy Rubs - Inspire; Making Memories Sanding Block

I'm going to try really hard to get the other pages done each day before my light is gone. ;) Thanks for looking...

Cute (EDLC Day #3)

Even though I'm posting this today, I actually did do day #3 yesterday. It was really late when I finished it though (10 pm) so the picture wasn't all that great since I didn't have any natural light. I got a better one today, even though it's all cloudy outside, ugh. Anyway, I LOVE these pictures of Emily! They really show who she is right now...

Supplies: K&Company Paper Pad - Greenhouse; Heidi Swapp "Cute" Stamp; Colorbox Chalk Ink - Chestnut Roan; Fiskars Scallop Border Punch; Fiskars Heart Squeeze Punch

Is that title just perfect for her or what? ;) She is TOO cute! Thanks for looking...

Gifts...

I made some Christmas gifts this year that turned out great! I would have posted before but needed to wait until they were all received first. ;) I did 4 wall hangings and 2 framed layouts. It's so nice giving a handmade gift that you can tell is really appreciated...

*My best friend Cathy, along with her hubby Adam (also my brother-in-law) and their 4 kids - Daniel, Marybeth, Hannah & Abbey. The journaling is something that was written by Cathy about what Holiday traditions mean to her. It's absolutely beautiful...

*My mom Mary and her hubby Mike. This Scripture was read at their wedding and I thought it went perfectly with this great picture of them...

*My mother-in-law Arlene (far right) visiting with her friends Polly & Harold. They are like parents to her and she asked me to make this for them, which I gladly did...

*This is a poem written by a sweet lady named Hilda, who is a dear friend of my mother-in-law, Arlene. When I read it, I was so moved and knew I needed to make her something to celebrate it...

*My baby sister Maryann and myself. She's about to turn 23 and has grown into such a responsible, wonderful person. I just love her so much and am sooooo proud of her!!

*My sister Amy and niece Kasey. They both seem to avoid my camera as much as possible, so when I got this picture of them together, I knew I had to scrap it! They really liked it so I'm happy I did...

Sorry about the pictures...they were taken at night so the colors are off a little. You get the general idea though, right? :) Thanks for looking!

My first finished mini!

My niece Kasey is turning 14 in a couple of days and I decided that I wanted to make a mini album for her. I have tons of pics of her cheerleading (which is her passion right now), so I based it around that. My sister and I went through some different words and chose ones that we think describe who Kasey is. The cool thing about it is that as you go through the mini and read the words, if you take the first letter of each word and put them all together, it spells out cheerleader. Pretty neat huh? ;) Her party is today and I can't wait to give it to her!
