Bahamas Album - PL Style

Good morning everyone!  Today I'd like to share with you a few pages from a trip to the Bahamas that my hubby and I took in 2011 through his job.  I've wanted to scrap the pictures for a long time now but had SO much trouble deciding how to go about it.  A few months ago I bought a SNAP album and some inserts to try but after starting work on editing the pics, I knew there was no way I could condense them down that much.  My solution?  Project Life!

I recently bought a 12x12 PL album and inserts to start over on our yearly PL (I was originally doing a smaller size but it wasn't working for me) but decided to turn the album into a vacation album instead.  I'm SO glad that I went with the idea because the pages are working out perfectly!!  It's sooooooo quick and easy to get them done this way, especially since my amazing friend Suzanne walked me through the process of creating 3x4 pics over at PicMonkey. ;) I'm over halfway done with the trip now and I've scrapped around 70 pictures so far which is very cool!

Here are the first few pages I did...

Supplies: Studio Calico Valley High Project Life Kit (Cards); Becky Higgins Jade Project Life Cards; Tim Holtz Distress Ink - Walnut Stain; Studio Calico Mister Huey - Classic Calico; Ali Edwards Stamps - Handwritten; Studio Calico Spencer's PL Kit (Stamps); Studio Calico Roller Date Stamp; Tim Holtz Tiny Attacher; Amy Tangerine Stitching Template; DMC Floss #3853; Sequins; Washi Tape; Traveling_Typewriter Font

Supplies: Becky Higgins Jade Project Life Cards; Becky Higgins Cinnamon Project Life Cards; Tim Holtz Distress Ink - Walnut Stain; Studio Calico Mister Huey - Clay; Ali Edwards Stamps - Simple Joy, It's In The Details; Paper Smooches Stamps - Falling For You; Cocoa Daisy Stamps - Everyday Icons; Fiskars Round & Round Circle Punch - Large; EK Success Mini Pennant Punch; Tim Holtz Tiny Attacher; Heidi Swapp Ghost Heart; My Mind's Eye The Sweetest Thing Enamel Dots; My Mind's Eye Brad; Ormolu Fact Or Fiction Flapper; Traveling_Typewriter Font

Supplies: Authentique Seasons: Summer 6x6 Pad; Authentique Seasons: Summer Collection - Summer Two, Enhancements; Tim Holtz Distress Ink - Walnut Stain; Studio Calico Mister Huey - Dark Calico; Ali Edwards Stamps - Life In Pictures; Studio Calico Salvaged Kit (Linen Background Stamp); Lawn Fawn Stamps - Bon Voyage; Fiskars Flit-On-By Butterfly Punch; Tim Holtz Tiny Attacher; Heidi Swapp Ghost Heart; Amy Tangerine Stitching Template; DMC Floss #3822; Traveling_Typewriter Font

Getting this album done is making me SO happy!  I'm completely in love with the Project Life system now and can't wait to get started on our weekly spreads.  If any of you haven't checked it out or have been thinking about it but aren't sure whether you should go for it, you definitely should because it seriously rocks. ;) Thanks for stopping by!

Love this! I especially love that you are doing this with your vacation photos. I don't PL like most, but I have been doing this for our summer photos, because there are so many.

These turned out beautifully! I may end up going to a Project Life type scrapping before too long because my time has been SO limited with homeschooling.
