Scrap It Girl December Challenge

Goooooooood morning my friends!!  Wow, can you believe it's already December??  That's totally crazy right?  I feel like November flew right by, lol. ;) Anyway, a new month means a new challenge over at Scrap It Girl!  This month we want to see you use a clock in some way on a project...

Supplies: BoBunny Mama-Razzi Collection - Tabloid, Dot, Mama-Razzi; Tim Holtz Distress Ink - Walnut Stain; Ali Edwards Stamps - Simple Joy; Cuttlebug; Quickutz Heart & Arrow Die; Stampin' Up Heart Punch; Fiskars Twinkle Twinkle Punch; Fiskars Nice Tri Punch; Amy Tangerine Thickers - Woodgrain Muse; Recollections Washi Tape; Remington Noiseless Font

When I saw the challenge, I got all excited because I instantly knew what picture and papers I wanted to use, and I knew I had a flair button and a brad with clocks on them...and then I couldn't find either, LOL.  Don't you love it when that happens?? ;) Thankfully I came across this awesome Washi tape that has clocks on it that worked perfectly for my layout.  The clock theme just fits because this is a very special moment in time that I never want to forget and one I'm very thankful that I captured.  I snapped this shot of my hubby dancing with our daughter at my cousin's wedding and I've wanted to scrap it for such a loooong time.  I think I was struggling with what to say about it in the journaling, but this challenge got my gears spinning and it all worked out!  Now I loooove the page. :)

So what do you think of the challenge?  Have something in mind?  If so, we'd love for you to play along!!  Make sure to link up your project at the Scrap It Girl blog by the end of the month and you'll have a chancce to win a fun prize!  Good luck and thanks for popping in for a visit today!

Sketches In Thyme #94

Good morning everyone!  I hope you all had an amazing Thanksgiving with your friends and families. :) I have a new sketch from Sketches In Thyme to share with you today!  It's another awesome two pager...

Supplies: October Afternoon Woodland Park Collection - Bunny Tail Trail, Huckleberry Hill, Old Mill Bridges; Tim Holtz Distress Ink - Walnut Stain; Studio Calico Mister Huey - Clay, Taxi, Heirloom Blue; Heidi Swapp Roller Date Stamp; EK Success Embossed Curve Border Punch; Fiskars Circle Punches; My Mind's Eye The Sweetest Things Brads; AC/Dear Lizzy Berry Thickers; sf Eleanor Font

Isn't it great??  I really love two page sketches because since I mostly do one pagers, it's like I get two sketches in one!  I used the right side of this sketch as inspiration for my page and I really like how it turned out.  This is a very special picture of my mother-in-law Arlene, with her dearest friend Polly.  Polly recently passed away and it was very hard on Arlene, so I wanted to do something to help her remember the happy times they had together.  I'm planning on framing it as a Christmas gift for her and I hope she loves it.

So, what are your thoughts on the sketch?  If you're inspired and create something with it, make sure you link it up at the Sketches In Thyme blog by the 30th and you'll be entered to win a yummy prize!  Plus all the DT gals will come and leave you some love. ;) Thanks for stopping by today!!

MMD Sketch #28

Hello again!  I've got a second post for you today so that I can share the latest sketch from Miracles Momma Designs with you. :) This one is SO much fun!!!  When I saw it, I knew I wanted to use happy colors for my page...

Supplies: Studio Calico Heyday Collection - Playful, Dew, Upbeat, Tangerines, Silly; Tim Holtz Distress Ink - Walnut Stain; Studio Calico Cut It Out Class Stamp Set; Ali Edwards Stamps - Favorite Memories; AC/Amy Tangerine Thickers - Woodgrain Muse; Stampin' Up! Butterfly Punch; EK Success Photo Corner Punch; Rough Typewriter Font

Isn't that awesome?!?  Now those of you who have been following my blog for a while may recognize those pictures from a Mother's Day lunch this year...since this is the FOURTH time I've scrapped them, lol!!  I'm pretty sure I'm done though since I've now created a layout using them for myself, my mom, and both of my sisters.  I love that they all wanted a layout about this special day though and I was happy to make them. :)

So how do YOU like the sketch??  If you love it like I do and get creative using it, I'd love to check it out!  Also, be sure to pop over to Heather's blog and see what the other talented ladies on the DT created with it...you'll be inspired for sure!  Thanks for popping by today, and if this is your first visit, be sure to check out my earlier post about the newest Sketches In Thyme sketch...

Sketches In Thyme #93

Good morning everyone!!  It's time for me to share the newest sketch with you from Sketches In Thyme!  I absolutely adore the look of this sketch and I'm totally loooooving the way my page turned out to be...

Supplies: Crate Paper Paper Heart Collection - Petals, Define, Cupid, Delivery; Tim Holtz Distress Ink - Walnut Stain; Tim Holtz Distress Marker - Walnut Stain; Studio Calico Mister Huey - Pretty Pink; Studio Calico Stamps - Circles From The Brownie Kit; American Crafts/Amy Tangerine Stamps - Hey There; Ali Edwards Stamps - Life In Pictures, Love Ali, Adored; Fiskars Circle Punches; EK Success Photo Corner Punch

Seriously how awesome is that??  I had this wonderful picture of my daughter and niece going on a walk together and it worked perfectly here.  Instead of using hexagons, I used an arrangement of circles on my page along with a FABULOUS new stamp set from Studio Calico and it all came together so awesomely!  I can't keep looking at it. ;)

So how do you like the sketch??  If you love it like I do, you should go get creative with it and then link up your page to be entered to win a prize!  You have until 11/30, so still plenty of time.  Have fun with it and thanks for stopping by for a visit!  Oh and if you're around in just a little while, I'll be sharing my newest layout for Miracles Momma Designs...

MMD Sketch #25

Hello there my friends!! I'm really sorry that it's been such a long time since you've heard from me but I promise it's for a good reason...we bought a house!  We closed on the 17th of last month and have spent the last 3 weeks getting everything packed up and moved.  It's been CRAZY.  We're finally starting to get everything in it's place though and it feels absolutely amazing!  We couldn't be any happier. :)

Sooooooo I totally missed sharing the last sketch from Miracles Momma Designs with you.  I'm sure you won't mind it being a little late though because this one ROCKS!

Supplies: Studio Calico Sunny Side Up Paper; American Crafts Shoreline Collection - Vera; October Afternoon Woodland Park Collection - Blue Sky, Gooseberry Falls; Tim Holtz Distress Ink - Walnut Stain; Tim Holtz Distress Marker - Walnut Stain; Studio Calico Mister Huey - Estate Green, Custard, Calico White, Pretty Pink; AC/Dear Lizzy Neapolitan Roller Date Stamp; EK Success Embossed Curve Border Punch; Fiskars/Jenni Bowlin Tab Punch; Fiskars Flit On By Butterfly Punch; Basic Grey Konnichiwa Chipboard Alphas; Basic Grey Button

I am SO in love with the way this layout came together. I took these awesome pictures of my girls with my niece before and after an egg hunt at my mom's house this year and they worked perfectly with the sketch when I turned it sideways. I also got to play with Studio Calico's Summer of '69 kit which I recently won and had so much fun!

So what do you think of the sketch? Do you love it too? If you do and you create something with it, we'd love to see! You can link us up over at the Miracles Momma Designs blog and we'll pop by for a visit and leave you some love. ;) Thank YOU for popping by to see me today!
