A card share...

Wow it has been a really LONG time since I've shared a card with you on here! I just haven't had ANY mojo for cards lately though, ugh. Luckily for me, there's a great card sketch over at Artful Delight this month that inspired me!

Supplies: Crate Paper Paper Heart Collection - Define, Cupid, Delicate, Love Letter; Tim Holtz Distress Ink - Walnut Stain; Ali Edwards Stamp Set - Loving Words; EK Success PSN L Butterfly Punch; Stampin' Up! Heart-to-Heart Punch; We R Memory Keepers Corner Chomper

I created a DT layout yesterday (which goes live on the 30th!) and when I was done I made some super cute embellishments with all of the tiny leftover scraps...

It only took me about 15 minutes to make these 10 embellishments and now I can just pop one on a project at any time. It rocks! I'm planning on doing this from now on because it saves me time plus uses up my scraps (which is always a good thing because I have WAY too many). ;) What do you do with your scraps?? I'd love any tips or tricks to use up some more of mine so feel free to share!

SNC Furever Friends Blog Hop!!

Good morning! Welcome to the "Furever Friends" blog hop :)

If you've arrived from Kristie's Blog then you're in the right place! If you're just stopping by and would like to do our hop, you can visit Suzanne's Blog to start from the beginning. Everyone is sharing projects and offering up goodies! Here is the hop order in case you get lost along the way...

Suzanne - Scrap With Suzy
Kim - Me Ma Kim's Place
Sandi - Slightly Off Center
Kristie - Scrap, Color, Read and Repeat
April - Scrapper Forever (You're here!)
Sue - The Scrappings Of Sue
Abby - Midwest Memories

You don't want to miss the "furry" projects we have for you, as well as chances to win some awesome blog candy! There are 7 of us in the hop who are all members of a Yahoo group Scrappin N Chattin. SNC is an email forum where we share our love for scrapbooking, as well as our everyday lives with each other. We like to talk ALOT (I mean we are a group of women, lol!), but please don't be intimidated by the amount of emails that come through our message boards because we have tons of fun! There are a lot of fun activities, challenges, and prizes each month to jumpstart your creativity and keep your scrappin' goals. As you go through the hop, you'll learn more about each of those activities.

I'd like to tell you about our 24 hour challenge, which I host each month. It's a challenge based around using a favorite collection with a sketch and creating a layout in just 24 hours. The fun part is that the collection and sketch you use is a surprise! Each person that plays chooses 3 collections that they'd like to work with and posts them into our database. I then post a message listing those collections along with 3 sketches that I've chosen for that month, along with a list of players which will choose a collection and a sketch for another player. If you get your layout done in the next 24 hours, you get entered into a drawing for a great prize! Fun right? All of the ladies in the group that play each month really seem to enjoy playing along in the challenge. :)

If you like the sound of our group and would like to check out what we're all about, you can visit our homepage here and have a look around. If you decide you'd like to join, we'd be absolutely thrilled! We love meeting new people. :) We also love blog hopping and and sharing inspiration, and for today's hop, we each created a "furry" project. Since we don't have any pets in our house (YET!), I used this super cute picture of my daughter Madison carrying around some of her stuffed animals, which she always has in hand...

Supplies: Basic Grey PB&J Paper - Daisy Mae, Raspberry Jam, Whole Wheat; Tim Holts Distress Ink - Walnut Stain; Ali Edwards Stamp Set - Bring On The Love; EK Success PSN L Butterfly Punch; EK Success Embossed Curve Border Punch; Tim Holtz Tiny Attacher; Studio G Brads; Just The Way You Are Font

She wants a puppy SO bad but we can't have pets where we currently live. We've promised to get one when we get a house with a nice yard though, so thankfully until then she has plenty of stuffed babies to keep her company! ;)

Oh, and this wouldn't be a great blog hop without CANDY! Here's what you can win just for leaving a comment on my blog post (open to US only because of shipping costs)...

I just love candy don't you?? ;) All of the blog candy winners will be announced on Thursday so be sure to get your comments in before then! Also, be sure to leave me an email address so I can contact you if you're the lucky winner here. Thanks so much for stopping by today...I hope you visit again soon! Your next stop on the hop is Sue...

Parkway

Hi again friends! There are a few May challenges that are ending today that I wanted to play along with, so I got crafty earlier today and created this fun page...

Supplies: Fancy Pants Childish Things Paper - Snacktime, Sheet Of Music, Imagination; Tim Holtz Distress Ink - Walnut Stain; AC/Dear Lizzy Neapolitan Roller Date Stamp; Fiskars Circle Punches - Extra Large, Large; Fiskars Nice Tri Punch; BoBunny Et Cetera Alpha Stickers; Heidi Swapp Ghost Hearts; Making Memories Button; Studio G Brad; DMC Floss; Twine; 1942 Report Font

I was inspired by this sketch my friend Theresa created...

...and I adore how my layout turned out! My hubby and I love taking our girls and going for long drives on the Blue Ridge Parkway here in NC. It's absolutely gorgeous up there and we never get tired of seeing what it has to offer, and of course we always have tons of pics! This sketch worked perfectly to get a few different ones on my page without crowding it at all, which totally rocks. ;)

I hope you're all having an amazing Thursday!

MMD Sketch #18

Good morning! I have a new sketch from Miracles Momma Designs to share with you today. This is a seriously fun sketch that could be used in so many different ways...

Supplies: Echo Park Hello Summer Papers - You've Been Flagged, Little Flowers, Banners; Tim Holtz Distress Ink - Scattered Straw; ColorBox Chalk Ink - Chestnut Roan; Studio Calico Mister Huey - Classic Calico, Calico White; Ali Edwards Stamps - Simple Joy; American Crafts Stamp; AC/Dear Lizzy Neapolitan Roller Date Stamp; Martha Stewart Large Circle Cutter; Studio Calico Wooden Veneer Butterflies; Architects Daughter Font

Although I absolutely adore the circles on the sketch, I couldn't find a way to make them work for me, so I focused on the basics of the sketch instead and it worked out great! I've had this super cute picture of my girls for a while now and this sketch along with these fabulous Hello Summer papers from Echo Park made it so fun to scrap!

If you have a minute, please head over to Heather's post today at Miracles Momma Designs and check out all of the other DT pages...everyone rocked this sketch!

Sketches In Thyme #79

I've got a new sketch/layout to share with you this morning! This time around we have a two page sketch. I don't do very many two pagers, so I made the sketch work for me and used the left side as inspiration for my layout...

Supplies: Basic Grey Konnichiwa Paper- Lucky Cricket, Jasmine Tea, Good Afternoon; Tim Holtz Distress Ink - Walnut Stain; Studio Calico Mister Huey - Dark Calico, Calico White; Ali Edwards Stamps - It's In The Details, Favorite Memories; Fiskars Circle Punch; Fiskars Flit On By Punch; Studio Calico Wood Veneer People; Basic Grey Chipboard Alphas; Making Memories Button; Twine; sf Ellie Everyday Font

I think it turned out great! I was able to go out to a special lunch with my mom and sisters for Mother's Day this year and we all had a wonderful time talking and laughing. Before we left, we took these pictures with our phones and although they both turned out a little bit crazy (the sun was really bright!), I absolutely love them! My family is so amazing. :)

Make sure to stop by the Sketches In Thyme blog post for today and see what the other DT ladies did with this great sketch...I'm sure you'll love what you see!
