Congrats Doris!!!  I guess that's definitely one way to make sure your hubby remembers your birthday and anniversary right?  Lol!  I'll contact you asap about your goodies! :)

----------

Now I'd like to share a new layout with you!  My sister's birthday is next week and I wanted to create something for her because she always loves handmade gifts.  She even has a few layouts that I've made her hanging up in her house!  Well, the last time I was there I realized that I hadn't made her one with our mom in it yet, so when I saw this picture of the two of them together on her FB page, I snagged it, lol!

Supplies: Fancy Pants Wishful Thinking Collection - Corsage, Memories, My Party, Adorable, Rose Petals; Tim Holtz Distress Ink - Walnut Stain; Colorbox Chalk Ink - Chestnut Roan; Ali Edwards Stamps - Family Is, Family Circle; AC/Dear Lizzy Neapolitan Roller Date Stamp; Fiskars 3" Circle Punch; EK Success 2 1/2" Circle Punch; Fiskars Round & Round Circle Punches - Extra Large, Large, Medium; Stampin' Up! Butterfly Punch; Martha Stewart Circle Cutters; Tim Holtz Edge Distresser; iRock; Jolee's Hotfix Jewels - Jonquil; Bella Blvd. Washi Tape; Basic Grey Button; Twine; AR Berkley Font

I found a wonderful quote online about a mother and daughter that matched the feel of the picture and decided to use it for the journaling, and it also went perfectly with my title which I had already stamped and added to the page...pretty freaky huh? ;) Anyway, I absolutely adore how it all came together and I really think she'll love it too!

Note: The design of my page was inspired by this sketch...

My friend Ashley found the sketch on Pinterest and shared it with our scrapbooking group last month, but it only linked it to the Ideas For Scrapbookers website, not a specific post, so I can't give credit where credit is due. :( So, if anyone out there knows who created this sketch, please leave me a comment letting me know who it is and I'll link them up!

How adorable is that? ;) If you can believe it, this photo is from 2008!  My girls were super excited to visit their Aunt Amy that day because she surprised them and their cousin Kasey with a pop-up pool in the backyard!  They all love to be in the water, so everyone was super happy about it and stayed in there pretty much all Summer long, lol...

So what do you think of the sketch?  If it inspires you to create something, we'd love to see it!  You have until the end of the month to link up your project inspired by any of this month's sketches over at the Sketches In Thyme blog, and if you do you'll be in the running for a great prize!  So what are you waiting for?  Go get creative! :)

Scrap It Girl December Challenge

Goooooooood morning my friends!!  Wow, can you believe it's already December??  That's totally crazy right?  I feel like November flew right by, lol. ;) Anyway, a new month means a new challenge over at Scrap It Girl!  This month we want to see you use a clock in some way on a project...

Supplies: BoBunny Mama-Razzi Collection - Tabloid, Dot, Mama-Razzi; Tim Holtz Distress Ink - Walnut Stain; Ali Edwards Stamps - Simple Joy; Cuttlebug; Quickutz Heart & Arrow Die; Stampin' Up Heart Punch; Fiskars Twinkle Twinkle Punch; Fiskars Nice Tri Punch; Amy Tangerine Thickers - Woodgrain Muse; Recollections Washi Tape; Remington Noiseless Font

When I saw the challenge, I got all excited because I instantly knew what picture and papers I wanted to use, and I knew I had a flair button and a brad with clocks on them...and then I couldn't find either, LOL.  Don't you love it when that happens?? ;) Thankfully I came across this awesome Washi tape that has clocks on it that worked perfectly for my layout.  The clock theme just fits because this is a very special moment in time that I never want to forget and one I'm very thankful that I captured.  I snapped this shot of my hubby dancing with our daughter at my cousin's wedding and I've wanted to scrap it for such a loooong time.  I think I was struggling with what to say about it in the journaling, but this challenge got my gears spinning and it all worked out!  Now I loooove the page. :)

So what do you think of the challenge?  Have something in mind?  If so, we'd love for you to play along!!  Make sure to link up your project at the Scrap It Girl blog by the end of the month and you'll have a chancce to win a fun prize!  Good luck and thanks for popping in for a visit today!
