MMD Sketch #23

Hello! Today I'm sharing the newest sketch from Miracles Momma Designs with you. This one is so unique and FUN!

Supplies: October Afternoon Daydream Collection - Garden Chain, Rain Boots, Paper Lanterns; Tim Holtz Distress Ink - Walnut Stain; Studio Calico Mister Huey - Classic Calico, Piglet; Fiskars Round & Round Circle Punch; Martha Stewart 3-in-1 Classic Butterfly Punch; Martha Stewart Large Circle Cutter; My Mind's Eye Nostalgia Brads; Echo Park A Walk In The Park Alphabet Stickers

This picture is so precious. When my girls were little, they would sleep with us all the time, and we always loved having them there to snuggle with us. Every now and then, I'd wake up first and be able to capture a moment like this one. There's absolutely nothing like seeing this so many years later. It brings that time back so easily, and I love that...

As you can see, I decided to go with scallops instead of points for my layout, which shows you just how versatile sketches can be! Always remember that sketches are just a starting point...they can turn into whatever YOU want them to. ;) Please take a minute to visit Heather's blog to see what the other DT gals did with this one...you'll love it!

Sketches In Thyme #87

Hi there! I have a new sketch from Sketches In Thyme to show you today, and this one is really fun! Just think of the different patterned papers (or WASHI!!) you can use...

Supplies: Authentique Fresh Collection - Crisp, Clean; Authentique Celebrate Collection - Enjoyment; Tim Holtz Distress Ink - Walnut Stain, Black Soot; Tim Holtz Distress Marker - Black Soot; Studio Calico Mister Huey - Inky Black, Overdue; Ali Edwards Stamp Set - Family Circle; Fiskars Twinkle Twinkle Punch; Martha Stewart Circle Cutter; Studio Calico Wood Veneer Stars; My Mind's Eye Celebrate Brads
*I'd like to say a HUGE thank you to my sweet friend Sandi for gifting me with the floral paper (Enjoyment) I used here...it was just perfect!

For my page I decided to use this very special picture from 1999. My oldest daughter was just 11 days old and we had gone to my Aunt Cindy's house for a Christmas celebration with my family. She took this shot of us right when we walked in. We were all SO tired, I was still swollen from my pregnancy and had on NO make-up, my hubby was wearing a crazy wrestling shirt...but none of that matters one bit. It's one of the first family pictures of us that we have and I absolutely adore it. I remember how happy we were to finally have that sweet baby girl in our lives and we were so in love with her! It was a very happy time in our lives and I'm thankful to finally have it in my scrapbooks...

So what do you think of the sketch? If you love and want to try using it yourself, we'd love to see what you create! Once you've got your project made, be sure to link it up at the Sketches In Thyme blog by the 31st to be entered for a fun prize. ;) Thanks so much for stopping by today!

Scrap It Girl August Challenge

Good morning! Today is my first time posting a DT project for Scrap It Girl and I'm super excited! The challenge for August is to use numbers, which is easy and simple right?? As soon as I found out about it, I knew I wanted to create a mini album, and came up with this idea for my daughter Emily...

Supplies: Basic Grey 6x6 Paper Pad - What's Up; Tim Holtz Distress Ink - Walnut Stain; Technique Tuesday Stamp Set - Borderline: Live For Today; Fiskars Round & Round Punch; EK Success Scallop Circle Punch; American Crafts Thickers - Rainboots; Studio Calico Wood Veneers - Tweet Birds; DYMO Caption/Label Maker; Crop-A-Dile; Doodlebug Plain & Simple Mini Album - Square Chip

The title and tabs along the side of the album say "13 reasons that you are soooo loved by all of us". She's going to be 13 in December (man, I can't believe that!), and I thought a mini album filled with some favorite pictures and lots of reasons we love her would be a very special gift. So far I've only done the cover so I don't have any inside pages to show you just yet (I want to be sure that it's a family project and her daddy and sissy are included inside), but I'll be sure to share those with you as they get made. ;)

So have you got some ideas floating around for a numbers project you'd like to create? It can be absolutely anything you want it to be as long as it includes a number of some sort, and do you want to know what you can win by playing along? Here it the awesome prize being offered...

How great is that?? You have all month long to get your project made and linked up over at the Scrap It Girl blog, so get creative and have fun! Thanks for stopping by! :)

MMD Sketch #22

Good morning everyone! Today I have a new sketch from Miracles Momma Designs to share with you all, and this week Heather has created an awesome two pager! I don't do many two pagers myself, so instead I used the right side of the sketch as the inspiration for this layout I created about a wonderful Mother's Day dinner with my mom and sisters...

Supplies: Authentique Lively Collection - Spirited, Bright, Flutter; Tim Holtz Distress Ink - Walnut Stain; Tim Holtz Distress Marker - Walnut Stain; Studio Calico Mister Huey - White; Ali Edwards Stamp Set - Give Thanks; AC/Dear Lizzy Neapolitan Roller Date Stamp; Studio Calico Wood Veneers - Potty People; Martha Stewart Large Circle Cutter; Fiskars Nice Tri Punch; Fiskars Flit On By Punch; i-Rock; i-Rock Clear Gems; Basic Grey Buttons; You Won't Bring Me Down Font

Isn't that awesome?? I really love how it all came together! Now if you've been here a few times before, you may be thinking to yourself that you've already seen these pictures multiple times, and you'd be absolutely right! This is the third time I've scrapped them, lol...once for myself, once for my younger sister, and this latest one is for my mom. You'll see them once more some day soon since my older sister wants a layout also...just giving you a warning upfront. ;)

Please take a minute and head over to Heather's blog post for today and see what some of the other design team member's created...you'll be inspired for sure! Also, you'll have to excuse my slight obsession with the Potty People Wood Veneers from Studio Calico...I loooooooooooove them and I can't seem to stop using them lately, lol! I'm sure it's just one of those phases we all go through as crafters though, so I hope you don't get sick of seeing them before I move on to something else. :) Thanks for stopping by!

Sketches In Thyme #85

Hello there! It's time for me to share another new sketch with you from Sketches In Thyme! We've got a two-pager this week that can easily be used as is or spilt into two great sketches. I used the left side for my inspiration...

Supplies: Basic Grey Oxford Collection - Honor Roll, Finishing School, Ivy League; Tim Holtz Distress Ink - Walnut Stain; Colorbox Chalk Ink - Chestnut Roan; Studio Calico Mister Huey - Dark Calico, Classic Calico, Calico Cream; Ali Edwards Stamps - Simply You; AC/Dear Lizzy Neapolitan Roller Date Stamp; Fiskars/Jenni Bowlin Tab Punch; EK Success Embossed Curve Border Punch; Studio Calico Wood Veneers - Potty People; Doily; CK Jot Font

I kept my page simple and sweet and I really love it! I got this amazing shot of my hubby and Madison on Mother's Day and knew I wanted to scrap it all by itself. I just adore the way they're smiling and how HAPPY they both look. It really captures how awesome their personalities are. :)

Ok that's it from me for today! For some more inspiration using the sketch, pop over to the Sketches In Thyme blog to see what the other designers did with it. Also, be sure to play along with this or any of our other July sketches for a chance to win some goodies! ;) Thanks for stopping by...

Sketches In Thyme #84

Hello there everyone! I've got a brand new sketch from Sketches In Thyme to share with you today that rocks! I really like the look of this sketch because I feel you could turn it any way and still create a beautiful layout...

Supplies: My Mind's Eye Nostalgia Collection - Diamond, Chevron, Roses, Label; Tim Holts Distress Ink - Walnut Stain; Tim Holtz Distress Marker - Walnut Stain; Studio Calico Mister Huey - Dewey, Boss Lady, Pinstripe; Unity Stamp Set - Treasure To Me; Fiskars Twinkle Twinkle Punch; My Mind's Eye Nostagia Brads; Punky Sprouts Doily; My Mind's Eye Nostalgia Accessory Sheet

As you can see, I turned the sketch on it's side for my inspiration and it worked great! I took these 2 fun shots of my girls on Mother's Day and really loved how happy they look in both of them, so I decided they needed to be scrapped together. This sketch was perfect for that!

Please make sure that you head over to the Sketches In Thyme blog today and see what the other DT ladies did with this sketch...amazing I tell you! Hopefully you'll be inspired to try it yourself. :) You have until 7/31 to upload your take on this or any of this month's sketches to be entered for a yummy prize. Good luck and thanks for stopping by!

MMD Sketch #21

Good afternoon! I have a new sketch to share with you today from Miracles Momma Designs. :) This is a wonderful sketch that could be used in so many ways...

Supplies: My Mind's Eye Nostalgia Collection - Classic, Scallop, Label, Roses; My Mind's Eye Nostalgia Accessory Sheet; Tim Holtz Distress Ink - Walnut Stain; Tim Holtz Distress Marker - Walnut Stain; Ali Edwards Stamps - Love Ali, Favorite Memories; Fiskars Nice-Tri Punch; Fiskars/Jenni Bowlin Tab Punch; Fiskars Round & Round Punch; Martha Stewart Circle Cutter; Studio Calico Wood Veneer Butterfly; My Mind's Eye Nostalgia Brads; Doily; Just The Way You Are Font

When I first saw the sketch, I thought that four blocks of patterned paper would work perfectly for it, and I had these two great pictures of Emily and myself that went right along with that idea. We were hanging out at my hubby's Nanny's house one day and she came over and snuggled up to me on the couch (which doesn't happen very often, so I was LOVING it!) and I made sure to snap some shots of us together. I knew I wanted to scrap them because I realized recently that I don't have enough pictures of myself in our scrapbooks. It's kind of hard to get in there more though when I'm always the one behind the camera, lol! I'm sure many of you understand that right? I've decided to really try and change that though, so I've made a promise to try and scrap myself more. This is a great start for that. ;)

Make sure you head over to Heather's blog post today and see what the other DT members did with the sketch (there are some fabulous pages!), and thanks for stopping by!
