Tweetsie

Hello there! I have a layout to share with you today that I am SO loving. :) It was inspired by this sketch (created by my friend Abby) which is perfect for alot of photos...

Supplies: October Afternoon Paper - Thrift Shop (Near Mint, Last One, Great Find, Still In Box, One-Of-A-Kind), 5 & Dime (Wax Bottles, Jawbreakers), Fly A Kite (Sprinklers), Campfire (Animal Tracks); Tim Holtz Distress Inks - Walnut Stain, Scattered Straw; Date Stamp; Fiskars Flit On By Butterfly Punch; Fiskars Twinkle Twinkle Star Punches; Martha Stewart Royal Butterfly Punch; EK Success Double Heart Punch; Doodlebug Loopy Lou Alphabet Stickers - Beetle Black; Making Memories Buttons; Basic Grey Brad; Computer Font - sf Dana

Isn't it fabulous!?! I did a layout very similar to this one last year with some Easter pictures and was really happy with being able to fit so many pictures on the page without them crowding each other. When I had these pictures developed, I printed them smaller hoping I'd be able to do something along the same lines, and Abby's sketch worked out to be great for it! This is definitely one of my recent favs. ;)

Thanks for stopping by for a visit today! I'm still working on those projects I posted about last week, but hopefully I'll have something to share with you soon...

Absolute Blessing

Hi there friends!! I'd like to share this layout I created earlier today with you. It all started when I saw a new sketch posted over at Helen Croft's blog (Scrap A Little) that is just awesome! I really love working with Helen's sketches so I knew I wanted to create something with it...

Supplies: My Mind's Eye Love Me Do Paper - Forever In Plaid, Rock & Roll Heart, Heart Of The Matter; Tim Holtz Distress Inks - Scattered Straw, Fired Brick; Ali Edwards Stamp Set - This Is The Day; Fiskars Flit On By Butterfly Punch; EK Success Double Heart Punch; Martha Stewart Royal Butterfly Punch; Martha Stewart 3-in-1 Classic Butterfly Punch; EK Success PSN LE Circles Border Punch; Martha Stewart Large Circle Cutter; Basic Grey Button; CK Jot Computer Font

Isn't that so pretty?? I absolutely LOVE the way it turned out and the colors are amazing. This is such a precious picture to me because it's the first one taken of us after Madison was born. I had just become a mommy of 2 and we had become a family of 4 so we were all very happy! It was such a special day and one I'll definitely never forget. :)

There are a couple of other things that I'm working on right now so hopefully I'll be back soon to share those with you. Thanks so much for stopping by tonight!!

First Day

Good morning! I'd like to share a new layout with you that I created yesterday. I saw a sketch challenge posted over at the BoBunny blog so I decided to try my hand at it...

Supplies: BoBunny Learning Curve Paper - Letters, Bookmark, Stripe, Crossword; Tim Holtz Distress Ink - Walnut Stain, Scattered Straw, Fired Brick; Ali Edwards Stamp Set - Ordinary Days; Mister Huey Mist - Dark Calico; Fiskars Twinkle Twinkle Star Punches; Marvy 3/4" Circle Punch; Tim Holtz Edge Distresser; Tim Holtz Paperclip; Doodlebug Loopy Lou Cardstock Alphabet Stickers - Beetle Black; Elle's Studio Tag; We R Memory Keepers Corner Chomper; Tim Holtz Tiny Attacher
*Inspired by the 1/26/12 sketch on the BoBunny blog

Isn't that cute? This is Emily on her first day of Kindergarten. She was SO ready to start school, as I'm sure you can tell by the huge grin on her face! ;) After I finished my page, I realized I missed the deadline for the challenge...bummer. I really like the layout though so I'm happy I made it before realizing that or I may not have done it!

Thanks for popping in today!! Have a great weekend. :)

Guest designer for TPV!!

Good morning! I am SO excited today because I get to share a layout with you that I did as a guest designer for The Paper Variety! The first challenge for February is an awesome sketch creating by one of TPV's co-founders, Abby...

Supplies: Crate Paper Paper Heart Paper - Love Letter, Define, Cupid; Colorbox Chalk Ink - Rose Coral; Craft Smart Ink - Chocolate Brown; Studio Calico Mister Huey - Classic Calico; Ali Edwards Stamp Set - Beautiful; Papertrey Ink Stamp Set - Happy Trails; EK Success Double Heart Punch; Fiskars Flit On By Punch; Bella Blvd. Ciao Chip Sophisticates Alphabet - Simply Simona Saltwater; Elle's Studio Pink Pennant; My Mind's Eye Brads; Bazzill Flower; CK Alis Hand Font

I absolutely LOVE this layout!! When I saw the sketch, I was inspired by the strips of paper across the page and the embellishment cluster in the top right corner. I started with those things and went from there and it just came together so easliy! I decided to use the pops of blue against all the pink and red, and really like how it looks. So fun! ;)

So what do you think of the sketch? If you decide to play along and create a project of your own, you'll be entered to win this great prize, sponsored by My Scraps & More...

How fun is that?? Also, Abby added a $10 gift certificate to My Scraps & More to this prize because she loves to shop there! Very cool. ;) You have until 2/13 at midnight EST to link up your project and be in the drawing. Good luck to everyone who enters...I can't wait to see all the entries!

Thanks for stopping by today and thank you again to Abby and Suzanne for inviting be to be a guest designer!

Our First Glimpse

Hello there friends! I hope everyone's had an amazing weekend so far. All the CHA excitement is totally crazy isn't it?? I soooooo wish I could be there but since I can't, I'm really thankful for all the updates we're getting from all over the web, aren't you? I know my wishlist is filling up FAST. ;) So anyway, I have a layout to share with you that I just created today for the current Basic Grey challenge...

Supplies: Basic Grey Wander Paper - Lost Luggage, Arrival; Tim Holtz Distress Ink - Walnut Stain; Studio Calico Mister Huey - Classic Calico; Date Stamp; Fiskars Star Punches; Studio Calico Chipboard Alphas; Authentique Diction Sticker; Elle's Studio Lil' Snippets - Notes; Tim Holtz Tiny Attacher; Basic Grey Buttons; 1942 Report Computer Font

It's based on a sketch that I instantly fell in love with! I can't say that I'm absolutely loving my page though which is a little bit of a bummer. It just didn't turn out the way I was picturing it in my mind at all, but I've decided to let it go. Not all of my layouts are going to be perfect, but that's completely ok! It still counts as a page done, and a memory recorded, which is most important in my eyes. ;)

Thanks for stopping by today...have a good night!

Good Times

Hello friends! I've got a new layout to share with you today and it seems like I've got a trend going on of scrapping older pictures. It could be because week before last I went through and did some major organizing and then took a huge stack of pics to Wal-Mart to do some scanning. ;) Anyway, this is Emily back in 2004 having some fun in the sprinkler!

Supplies: BoBunny Sun Kissed Papers - Adventure, Summer, Sun Kissed, Dot, Skies; Tim Holtz Distress Ink - Wild Honey; Ali Edwards Stamp Set - It's OK; Fiskars Nice Tri Punch; Fiskars Star Punch; Martha Stewart Scoring Board; We R Memory Keepers Corner Chomper; SS Play Computer Font
*Inspired by a sketch created by my friend Theresa

I just love this page! I must be in the mood for Spring/Summer to come because I find myself scrapping NO Winter pictures, lol! I'm really loving the bright colors though so I think I'll stick with it if it's what's working for me. Oh and just a note...this is another collection from my stash that I've never used before! That's four in a row for me now. ;)

What have you been scrapping lately? I'd love to check it out if you want to leave me a link! Thanks for popping by today...I hope you all have a fantastic weekend. :)

My latest layout...

Around a month ago, I was a winner on the Bella Blvd. blog for a birthday blog hop they did for the owner Stephanie. When I got my prize, I was SO excited because it was the Spring Flings and Easter Things collection, which is absolutely adorable!! It has really great colors and some super cute patterns that will work for Spring pictures and some others that will work for Easter ones, and then a bunch that will work for either. ;) On Friday I decided to pull some of the papers out and do an Easter layout with them...

Supplies: Bella Blvd. Spring Flings and Easter Things Paper - Mom's Bouquet, Sunny Sunday, Borders, Cute Cuts; Tim Holtz Distress Ink - Peeled Paint; Ali Edwards Stamp Set - Loving Words; Martha Stewart Large Circle Cutter; Fiskars Flit On By Punch; EK Success Double Heart Punch; EK Success PSN LE Circles Border Punch; Basic Grey Button; SF Andi 1 Computer Font
*Inspired by a sketch at Practical Scrappers

Ok, so it turned out looking alot more Spring-like than Easter-like but it's still totally cute in my opinion. ;) This is a picture of my sweet baby Emily having her very first egg hunt back in 2001! She was only 16 months old and my goodness but she was GORGEOUS (and still is of course!). I remember how adorable she was that day...just walking around with an egg in each hand and not caring one bit about any of the other ones, lol. My mom kept taking her over and showing her where other ones were hidden but we actually had to take the ones she was holding before she'd go after any others. It was pretty funny...

So anyway, while I was making this layout, I realized that this is two pages in a row that I haven't inked any edges on! This is huge for me because normally I ink EVERYTHING, but I'm loving it because the look is really clean and it's sooooo much faster than the usual way I scrap. Don't worry though...if I'm scrapping and the look of the papers or the feel of the page calls for inked edges, I'll definitely answer. :) Thanks so much for stopping by today!
