Just Precious

Check this out people...I'm doing another non-morning post! What is this world coming too anyway, lol? ;) I've been scrapping today and finally got a layout done for the sketch challenge over at The Paper Bakery. It's their very first sketch and when I saw it, I knew I wanted to play along and since it's due tonight I had to get my booty in gear!

Supplies: October Afternoon Thrift Shop Paper - Great Find, Near Mint & One-Of-A-Kind; Tim Holtz Distress Ink - Scattered Straw; Fiskars Upper Crest Border Punch; Fiskars Heart Punch; Fiskars Butterfly Punch; Martha Stewart Heart Confetti Punch; American Crafts Lullaby Thickers - Charcoal; Basic Grey Buttons
* I apologize if the pictures are dark or if the colors are a little off...the sun has already gone down so they're the best I can do for now!

This is actually my third attempt at the sketch this week, lol. Do you ever do that? I knew what pictures I wanted to use right away because I had these from our beach vacation last Summer and looooooove them, and there are just the right number for the sketch so it was perfect! The papers though? Not easy to decide on at ALL. It just took me a little while to find the right ones I guess, although I should have known to pull out my October Afternoon all along! You can never go wrong with some October Afternoon friends, believe me. ;)

Thanks for stopping by! Have a great night...

Happy Birthday

Hi friends! I've got a new layout to share with you today. :) In my scrapbooking group (Scrappin-N-Chattin) I host a challenge each month called the 24 Hour Challenge. The way it works is that you have a collection (you choose 3 from your stash that you're ok working with) and sketch (I choose 3 different ones) chosen for you by other players for you to work with, and then you have 24 hours to complete a layout with them and be entered to win a yummy prize! I used to play along with the other ladies every month but lately haven't been able to. Well yesterday I was and I'm so glad!

Supplies: Simple Stories Happy Day Paper - Make A Wish & Flash Cards; Bazzill Cardstock - Kraft; Tim Holtz Distress Ink - Walnut Stain; Ali Edwards Stamp Set - Sentimentally Ali; Studio Calico Mister Huey's Color Mists - Classic Calico & Calico Cream; Fiskars Star Punches; Making Memories Star Brads

The group as a whole chose the Simple Stories Happy Day collection for me and an amazing sketch posted on the Write Click Scrapbook blog (which you can see here). It can be a challenge sometimes to work with things that you had no control over picking, but it can also be alot of fun! Sometimes I end up with pages I probably never would've made otherwise and I absolutly love that. ;)

If the 24 hour challenge is something you'd like to try and an amazing group of fun (and very chatty, lol!!) scrapbooking loving women sounds like something you'd like to be a part of, we'd love to have you join our group anytime! We're all very close and love welcoming new people. :)

Thanks for stopping by today...I'll be back soon with some new cards to share. Yesterday was very productive for me!

Halloween Treats!

Well hello there! It's not very often that I do an afternoon post but I wanted to share these super cute treat bags I made for my daughter's class for Halloween!

Supplies: BoBunny Whoo-ligans Paper - Dot & Rahh; Tim Holtz Distress Ink - Black Soot; Studio G Stamp; Tim Holtz Tiny Attacher

They're really simple (which was awesome since I made 20) but I think they'll be a big hit. I mean, come on, there's CANDY in there, lol!! Plus I added some little goodies which always seems to be a good idea with 1st graders. ;)

Are you making any Halloween goodies? If so, please feel free to leave me a comment with a link so I can check them out!

Thanks for popping in today! I appreciate your visit...

A few card sets to share...

Good morning!! I made another card set using some more of my scraps the other day so I wanted to share it with you...

Supplies: October Afternoon Paper - Report Card; Papertrey Ink Cardstock - Kraft; Tim Holtz Dustress Ink - Walnut Stain; Studio G Stamp; Fiskars Star Punch; Tim Holtz Tiny Attacher; We R Memory Keepers Corner Chomper; Misc. Buttons

I had some super cute little 4x4 envelopes so I made these to fit them and realized that I looooove this size! It's the perfect little card to jot a quick note down or include in a gift. I think I might make up some more of these to hand out as teacher gifts at Christmas time. :)

Speaking of Christmas, I also made up a couple more sets of Christmas cards and I think they're great!

Supplies: Little Yellow Bicycle Paper - Christmas Delight; Papertrey Ink Cardstock - Vintage Cream; Colorbox Chalk Ink - Chestnut Roan; Tim Holtz Distress Ink - Antique Linen; Studio Calico/Hero Arts Stamp - Alphabet Background; Hero Arts Merry Christmas Stamp; Fiskars Star Punches; Martha Stewart Heart Confetti Punch; Tim Holtz Tissue Tape

Supplies: Basic Grey Paper; Papertrey Ink Cardstock - Kraft; Colorbox Chalk Ink - Chestnut Roan; Tim Holtz Distress Ink - Antique Linen; Hero Arts Stamp - Cling Dots; Hero Arts Merry Christmas Stamp; Fiskars Upper Crest Border Punch; Fiskars Star Punches; Misc. Buttons

I love how quick and easy it is to put these together! Very easy to duplicate which is fabulous if you're making a bunch.

So that's it for today, but thanks for stopping by to see me! I hope to do some creating this weekend so maybe I'll have some new things to share really soon. ;)

Blessings (Artful Delight)

Good morning!! I have a new layout to share with you that I created using the October kit from Artful Delight...

Supplies Used From The Artful Delight October Kit: Pink Paislee Nantucket Paper - Crab Cakes & Clam Chowder Other Supplies Used: Colorbox Chalk Ink - Chestnut Roan; Tim Holtz Distress Ink - Old Paper; Studio Calico Mister Huey - Calico White; Ali Edwards Stamp Set - Sentimentally Ali; Martha Stewart Butterfly Punch; I-Rock; I-Rock Clear Gems; I-Rock Stencil; Recollections Flowers
*Inspired by this sketch at Frosted Designs

This is the cover page for the album I made for my mother-in-law's birthday (I've mentioned it a couple of times before). She's coming into town today so I wanted to get it finished for her and I'm so happy with how it all turned out! There are 20 pages in all...the cover page layout, followed by 18 layouts (6 per family) of each of her 3 kids and their families, and the last page which is a layout of her with all of her grandkids (seen here). I really hope she loves it because it was so much fun making it for her. :)

If you haven't gotten an October kit yet, there's still time! Also, keep an eye on the Artful Delight blog because on Tuesday Leeanne will be revealing the November kit. I'm sure it will be fabulous and I can't wait to see it all!

P.S. I don't know if you've noticed lately but I'm a little obsessed with my I-Rock these days! This little tool is SO amazing. I was never really much of a bling person before getting mine but it completely changed my view on it all. I absolutely love how easy it is to add the jewels and I feel like it adds just the right touch to my project every time I use it. I really can't seem to make anything without it lately, lol! Oh and bonus, the other day I found some absolutely GORGEOUS Jolee's hotfix jewels at Michaels that work with my I-Rock and snatched some up. Love, love, love them! Just thought I'd throw that out there in case anyone's looking for a new tool to spoil themselves with. ;)

Prayer Journal (Artful Delight)

I've got a new project to share with you today that I created using the October kit from Artful Delight. I really adore how this turned out, especially that butterfly!

Supplies Used From The Artful Delight October Kit: BoBunny Et Cetera Paper - Stamped & Watermark; Felt Rolled Rose (Created by Leeanne)
Other Supplies Used: Papertrey Ink Cardstock - Vintage Cream (Inside); Colorbox Chalk Ink - Chestnut Roan; Tim Holtz Distress Ink - Walnut Stain; Adirondack Paint Dabber - Espresso; Ali Edwards Stamp Set - Sentimentally Ali;Papertrey Ink Stamp Sets - Journaling Lines (Inside) & Happy Trails; Fiskars Circle Punch; Fiskars Butterfly Punch; Martha Stewart Butterfly Punch; I-Rock; I-Rock Clear Gems; Jillibean Soup Corrugated Flower; Crop-A-Dile

I made this for my sweet friend Sandi's friend Marti who is battling Cancer right now. Sandi told me that Marti is a Christian so I thought a prayer journal would be just the thing for her! The inside pages are all stamped with journal lines and an Ali Edwards sentiment that says "thoughts and prayers" which I think is just perfect. I hope this small gift brings a smile to this special lady's day...

There are still a few October kits left so if you haven't had the chance to get one yet, you've still got time. :) Thanks for popping in today...your visit means so much!

Jakson (Artful Delight)

Good morning friends. :) I'd like to share a layout with you that I made using the October kit from Artful Delight and the sketch for this month, created by fellow DT member Debbie...

Supplies Used From The Artful Delight October Kit: BoBunny Et Cetera Paper - Stamped & Watermark; BoBunny Double Dot Cardstock - Coffee Stripe; BoBunny Et Cetera Combo Alpha Stickers
Other Supplies Used: Tim Holtz Distress Ink - Walnut Stain; Fiskars Star Punches; Making Memories Star Brad; DCWV Vellum Quote; Tim Holtz Edge Distresser; Tim Holtz Paperclip

Now I'm sure those of you who visit often are thinking, woah, that's a boy page! Yep, you're right and those don't show up here much do they? This is another layout for the album I'm doing for my mother-in-law and this is my hubby's sister's adorable little boy Jakson. He takes amazing pictures! I have to say though...it was SO weird doing a boy page, and I can't even tell you how hard it was not to use a butterfly, lol! You know me and those butterflies. ;)

Anyway, I'm really happy with how it turned out and I've got to stay in boy mode for a few more pages. Jakson has a cutie-pie brother Taylor who I need to do a layout of, and have a couple of them together to do also. It'll be fun!

If you haven't snatched up an October kit for yourself yet, I would definitely recommend doing it because the contents are super yummy! I'm sure you'd love it...
