Can you hear me now? (Artful Delight)

Good morning! I hope everyone had a nice Holiday and got some good pics to scrap. We went to a Birthday BBQ/pool party and had SO much fun, but sadly, I forgot my camera! I do have to say it was kind of nice to actually be there enjoying every minute of what was going on instead of being behind a camera the entire time. Gave me a little wake up call I guess. ;) Anyway, I have another layout to share with you today that I made using the July kit from Artful Delight...

Supplies Used From The Artful Delight July Kit: My Mind's Eye Lime Twist Fly A Kite Paper - "Everyday" Alpha; Bazzill Cardstock - Glow; American Crafts Iguana Thickers - Melon; Maya Mist - Earl Gray
Other Supplies Used: Bazzill Dotted Swiss Cardstock - Raspberry Parfait; Tim Holtz Distress Ink - Brushed Corduroy & Walnut Stain; Fiskars Scallop Border Punch; Twine; Making Memories Sanding Block

How cute are those girls?? There's a park near our house that we go that has these megaphone type things where you can talk in one end and the person on the other end can hear you perfectly. The girls love them! It's always the first thing they play with when we're there. :)

So have you gotten your July kit yet?? If not, you should definitely do it soon because they're sure to sell out fast. I promise that you won't be disappointed!

Good morning! I am so excited to share today's project with you!! I sat down with my June kit from Artful Delight this week and created both of these...

Aren't they just gorgeous?? A few weeks ago, I read a post on Lori Mancini's blog where she was talking about a quote she was inspired by on Pinterest. She used the quote on an absolutely beautiful butterfly project she created and I totally fell in love with it when I saw it. I've wanted to create a project of my own inspired by hers ever since then and I'm so glad I finally had the chance to! It was so much fun. :) You should definitely check out Lori's project to see what I'm talking about...you'll be amazed!

Ok, I know it's the end of the month, but there are still a few June kits left, so if you missed your chance at getting one before, now's the time. I promise you...it's fabulous!

My sweet Granny... (Artful Delight)

Hello there! This morning I have a layout to share with you that I made using the June kit from Artful Delight. My mom's birthday is coming up in July and I wanted to make her something special for it. I took out this picture of her and my sweet Granny, who passed away 3 years ago, on a trip they took together to Arizona, and knew it would be just right...

Supplies Used From The Artful Delight June Kit - Lily Bee This & That Paper - Teacup & Brooch; Lily Bee This & That Sticker Sheet (Banner); Prima Mini Roses - Sunrise
Other Supplies Used: Bazzill Dotted Swiss Cardstock - Black Cow; Colorbox Chalk Ink - Blackbird; Tim Holtz Distress Ink - Black Soot; Ali Edwards Stamp Set - Loving Words; Fiskars Butterfly Punch; Martha Stewart Butterfly Punch; I-Rock; I-Rock Black Gems

I found a great shadow box frame at Michaels to put it in and I can't wait to give it to her. I'm sure it will make her a little sad at first, but I know she'll treasure it and love it also. :)

So have you gotten your hands on a June kit yet?? If you haven't, you should grab one up while you can...it's amazing!

Oh, and let me share something cool with you. The first embellishment I added to my layout was the flower cluster in the corner. After that, I punched the yellow butterflies to match the yellow of the flowers but I also wanted something green to match the leaves. Well, I don’t have anything the right color in my stash, but realized I had something perfect to use, which was the packaging from the flowers! It’s the exact shade of green that the leaves are and worked great for the smaller butterflies. Pretty neat huh? Just doing my part to recycle, I guess, lol!! ;) Have a great day...

How great is that?? This time of year, it's so fun to pull out those Summer pics and get scrapping. For me, as soon as I saw that the challenge for this week was to make a Summer themed project, I rememberd this picture my hubby took of me at the beach that I've been wanting to scrap and pulled it out. The page just came together so easily after that! That's two layouts this week, so I'm happy to say that I think my layout mojo has definitely returned. I know I missed it like crazy and I hope it's here to stay. ;)

So what Summer project do you have in mind that you've been wanting to do? This is your perfect chance to get it done! If you create your project and link it up at the TPV blog by next Tuesday at noon EST, you'll have a chance to win this fabulous prize, sponsored by Inspired To Scrap...

Your choice of ANY available past kit PLUS free class!

What an awesome prize!! I can't wait to see what you all create. :) By the way, I'm sad to say that this is my last DT project for TPV. It's been an AMAZING year being a part of this group of ladies and I will really miss them all. I hope to still play along in some challenges though and I'm excited to see what the new team will do. I hope that many of you sent in your applications and just in case you forgot, you still have until 6/24 to get them in. Loving Life!

Hello there friends. ;) Today I have a LAYOUT to share with you! It's been such a long time since I was able to sit down and create one and it felt soooooo good. This is the first layout of many to come from the work trip my hubby and I took to the Bahamas back in April. I'm SO happy to finally have some of those pictures scrapped!! We took over 400 between the two of us so I've got a ways to go, lol...

Supplies: BoBunny Paper - Paradise; Colorbox Chalk Ink - Chestnut Roan; Tim Holtz Distress Ink - Scattered Straw; Ali Edwards Stamp Set - Loving Words; Fiskars Triangle Punch; Tim Holtz Edge Distresser
*Inspired by this sketch on the BoBunny blog

BoBunny is having a sketch challenge right now and when I saw it, the ideas started flowing. Now, if you look at the sketch and then look at my page, it may seem really different. I think that taking sketches too literally has been a big part of my problem lately though. I'm a sketch girl through and through. It's tough for me to sit down with nothing in front of me and create, so I always look through my favorite sketches first to see if something comes to me. Once I start creating with one, I always feel like I have to try and make my page look just like the sketch. I realize now that it's just not that way though. Sketches are meant to be a help...a starting point to get the creativity flowing...and I can use them however I want to. There are NO rules!! So, with this one, I looked at the general shape of things and where a few things were placed and just went with it. And guess what? It worked brilliantly! I adore my page and had alot of fun making it. Since I think those things are more important than anything else, I'm one happy chick...

Thanks so much for stopping by today. ;) I'll be back tomorrow morning with a new TPV challenge to share along with my project, which is another layout, yay!
