I made this layout today for my best friend and sister-in-law Cathy, and I think it turned out really cute! This is my niece Hannah, who is hilarious...always posing for the camera. ;)

I'm having so much fun making these cards! It's kind of hard for me to go back and forth between layouts and cards though...my mind just doesn't wrap around it right for some reason. Maybe it's the different sizes, I'm not sure. Hopefully soon though, I'll be able to find a happy medium doing both without any problems. For now, I'll just continue with the cards and when a layout idea hits me, I'll go with it. ;)

I am SO excited!!

I made my first design team! Karan Gerber, who owns Sketchabilities recently opened up another site called Cardabilities, and put out a design team call. I applied for it and found out last Sunday that I made it!

I am SO excited and thankful that I've been given this opportunity and I can't wait to get started on some sketches! ;) Thanks again Karan!!

Etsy Shop & Thank You Cards

Well, I took the plunge and opened an Etsy shop! I posted some cards a few days ago and some more today. I'm hoping that it'll eventually be a nice little business for me. ;)

I had my first sale today and it was my best friend Cathy! She asked me to email her once I had the shop set up so she could take a look and the next thing I knew, I got an email saying I'd recevied payment from her for 2 of my cards, lol. Isn't she cute? It was very sweet of her and nice that I can always remember she was my first customer. :)

I made up some little thank you cards today to send out with my sales and they turned out pretty cute...
