The Biltmore Estate...

If you ever get the chance to visit the Biltmore Estate in Asheville, NC, you should definitely do it. I've been a few different times and each and every time I go, it amazes me all over again. It's so wonderful! There's so much history and beauty all wrapped up together and displayed for everyone to admire and enjoy. I don't think I could ever get tired of seeing it...

This layout is about a trip Mark and I took there to celebrate my birthday one year. My mom gave us the tickets and his mom watched the girls for us, so we got to go and take our time just being together. It was an awesome day. :)

I hope you're all having an amazing weekend. :)

Some recent creations...

I've done some scrapping this week but haven't had the time to come post about it yet. Because of that, I'll just share it all now while I've got a few minutes... ;)

This first layout is about Mark and Madison having a funny face contest. I love these pictures! I've wanted to scrap them for a while now, but trying to scrap the colors pink and red together, without the page looking too girly, is a tough job. I decided to go with these papers from K&Company, and I think it looks great!

Supplies: K&Company Paper Pad - Greenhouse; Fiskars Large Squeeze Punch - Round & Round; Colorbox Chalk Ink - Lipstick Red; Bazzill Just The Edge Strip (used as a template); Scenic Route Chipboard Heart (used as a template); Buttons; DMC Floss

The next layout I did has my 2 sweet girls on it. I got this picture of them taking a walk together last year and I fell in love with it. There's just something about the way they're walking along, hand in hand, that just melts me. Instead of journaling myself, I used a favorite Bible verse of mine, which is 2 Corinthians 5:7 - "For we walk by faith, not by sight." I think it fits the picture perfectly...

The last layout is one I did today, about a trip we took to Build-A-Bear back in June. My sis-in-law sent the girls some gift certificates to celebrate their cousin Marybeth's birthday (and Madison's), and they had so much fun picking out their new friends! I love how happy they look!

Supplies: K&Company Paper Pad - Wild Raspberry; Colorbox Chalk Ink - Lipstick Red; Tim Holtz Distress Ink - Tea Dye; Basic Grey Chipboard Letters; Making Memories Edge Distresser; Making Memories Sanding Block

Ok, that's it for today. Thanks for looking...I really appreciate it. :)

My "clean" girl, lol...

This layout is so funny to me. Madison is exactly like Emily has always been...happy to be as dirty as can be one minute, and then wanting to be really clean the next. I guess it's the tomboy inside fighting against their girly natures, lol...

Anyway, when I got these pictures of Madison one day, not even wanting to move because she was surrounded by mud, I knew I had to scrap them. That girl is just too cute!

That's it for now but I'm feeling scrappy so hopefully I'll have some more to share tomorrow. Have an awesome night!

Recent layouts for Cathy...

I had a chance over the past week to get some more layouts done for Cathy. I'm really happy with them all and hopefully she will be too. ;)

I'm not going to post all of the supplies I used since there are so many items, but if anyone wants to know what something is, just ask! Thanks for looking... ;)

Did some more scrapping...

I was able to get some more scrapping done today and I'm so happy with what I created! I did another layout/card combo, this time with some gorgeous Basic Grey papers...

The picture I decided to use for this layout is my sweet Maddie when she was only 7 months old! It brought back alot of wonderful memories for me and made me think about all those baby pictures of her and Emily that I need to get scrapped. They are both growing up WAY too fast...

Supplies: Basic Grey Paper - Blush, BoBunny Paper - "Candy Stripe", American Crafts Buttons, Fiskars Squeeze Punch - "Oopsie Daisy", Doodlebug Loopy Lou Cardstock Stickers - Bonbon
*Inspired by Kelly Goree's "Flower" layout seen here

The card was just a quick one, but I really love how the colors look together...

Supplies: Basic Grey Paper - Blush, Hero Arts Stamps - Thinking Of You; Colorbox Chalk Ink - Chestnut Roan

Hopefully I can get some more baby pictures done soon! Thanks for looking... :)

Another layout/card combo...

I was able to do another layout and card today and I love them both! I got a new flower punch (as I'm sure you can tell, lol) and besides being amazingly easy to use, the flowers are gorgeous! I bent the petals in and up in order to give them more of a real feeling, and I really like the effect...

For this layout, I chose this picture of my girls snuggling on the couch. I love seeing them like this together and since they are sooo cute, I wanted the page to have a really girly feeling to it. I think these papers were the perfect choice...

Supplies: Fancy Pants Paper - Crush; Fiskars Squeeze Punch - Oopsie Daisy; American Crafts Buttons; Fancy Pants Die Cut (Heart) - Botanical; My Mind's Eye Quote - "Cherished"

I wanted to give the card the same sort of look as the layout, so I used all of the papers on it also...

Supplies: Fancy Pants Paper - Crush; Hero Arts Stamps - Thinking Of You; Colorbox Chalk Ink - Chestnut Roan; Fiskars Squeeze Punch - Oopsie Daisy; American Crafts Buttons

Thanks for looking...I hope you enjoy them. :) Have an awesome night!

I finally scrapped!

Wow, it's been a looooong time since I scrapped anything. I realized when I posted yesterday that the last post I had made was at the beginning of July, so that's the last time I made something! I was really happy to sit down today and have some time to create. :)

In the time Madison allowed me (hehe, I scrap at the computer desk and the girl is addicted to the PBS Kids website!), I was able to get a layout and a card done. In a scrapping group I'm in, we're having a challenge this month to create a card using some of your scraps each time you make a layout. It's actually a very smart idea, isn't it? That way, you don't have to store the scraps and then pull them out later on. Plus, if you use the same papers, you'll already know they match since you used them in your layout. ;)

The layout is of a picture of the girls that I took on 6/9, when we were on our way to Chuck E. Cheese to celebrate Madison's birthday. I'm guessing that's why they both look so happy! Or maybe it's just because I'm such an awesome mommy, lol? ;) I know they are ADORABLE, that's for sure!

Supplies: Fancy Pants Paper - Celebrate, Botanical & Aged Florals; Prima Flowers; Colorbox Ink; Basic Grey Chipboard Letters - Block

The card I made is very simple but I like the look of it. For some reason, I'm really loving pink and yellow together right now! Very summer like don't you think? ;)

Supplies: Fancy Pants Paper - Celebrate; K&Company Paper - Berry Sweet; Colorbox Ink; The Paper Studio Scallop Punch; Hero Arts Stamps - Thinking Of You

Thanks for looking at my new stuff. Have an amazing day!
