Imagine...

I have a gorgeous niece named Marybeth who's 8 and quite an artist from what I hear. I saw this quote today and thought of her so I made her this card for inspiration...

I love how it turned out and I hope she does too! :)

Cards rock! ;)

I'm really getting into making cards lately. I'm not a pro at it or anything but so far I've made my best friend Cathy 2 of them and my mom-in-law Arlene one, and they both loved them, so I guess I'm doing something right. ;) I made another one tonight and when I went to share it with you all, I realized I haven't shared the others yet either. So, I'll share them all now...well, except for Arlene's which I forgot to take a picture of before I gave it to her, gasp!! ;)

So there they are...I hope you enjoyed them. Are there any other card makers out there? I'd love any tips you can share with me if so! :)

Things Above...

I did a layout a couple of nights ago with Emily on it that I REALLY love! I took a couple of different ideas from projects I saw online (see below) and put them together and this is what I got...

*Inspired by both Kelly Goree's "Love" layout seen here,
and Shanna Vineyard's "Lucky Me Grateful" journal seen here

Isn't it adorable?? ;) This picture is just precious to start with and then when I was sitting here working on the page, this Bible verse popped into my head. I think it fits perfectly...

This is your time to shine...

I got this amazing shot of Madison one day when we were walking to the bus stop to get Emily and I instantly knew I wanted to do some sort of page about time with it. I think it worked great!

I am SO in love with this layout!! First of all, I made it green...alllll of it, lol. I just adore the color green so I was really happy with that part of it for sure. ;) Second, it was so freeing to just throw everything down where I wanted to...no measuring to put something exactly in the center, or making sure everything was just right. The reason for this was actually a challenge in my scrapping group to do a slanted layout. Everything from the paper to the picture to the embellishments had to be slanted. It was a TRUE challenge for me, but I really loved doing it. I let my creative side take over and look what happened!

I seriously wish I could make myself do this more often. I just did one thing, and then another, and then kept adding more steps until the page felt complete. And I had so much fun with it! :) We'll see if I'm able to do it again or not though, lol...

Love is...

I did a layout last night of Mark and myself...

This picture was taken (by me as always, lol!) over at Mark's Nanny's house a few weeks ago. I really liked it, so I got a 5x7 made to scrap. It's hard sometimes to do pics of us since it seems like he's ALWAYS wearing a Panthers jersey, LOL, and it's quite a challenge to try and match the color to my papers. This paper might not match exactly but I still love how it turned out! ;)

Children...

Here's the layout I did for Cathy the other night that I was talking about in my earlier post...

I just love this one! These pictures are so precious and they all look so happy, don't they?? I'm having so much fun doing these albums for her... :)
